Got about 3 meals worth for $8. I believe it was chicken and the plantains! Can't say enough good about the plantains - some of the best I had. Hope this opens up again soon

really cheap. got the small curry chicken and could've gotten three meals out of it. the chicken was so flavorful. the collard greens & rice & peas could've had more flavor, but combined this was great.

Whoever was the cook on 3/22/22 needs to be replaced they served me some weird mushy Mac and cheeses. Nobody answered the phone so I guess I have to write my concerns online. In addition, I tried j*** and brown stew both was nasty. The rice and plantains was good. The bartender was really nice. Overall, I wouldn’t drive 20 minutes there again.

I stopped in for the first time in a while and was greatly impressed. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. The food is authentic and delicious and prices are very reasonable. I felt the need to give a 2nd tip after eating, as it was a ridiculously good deal for the quality.

I read the reviews PRIOR to going and still decided to give this place a try. I ordered the stew fish with veggies and callaloo. At least I thought he said callaloo through the mask it was actually greens! Lol He said collards. The fish was good. I had them add okra in it. The greens and stew fish didn't go well together! I also wish they put a little gravy on the fish but maybe they thought the same, greens and stew fish gravy don't go well!! Lol I also ordered j*** and curry chicken. The j*** was dry and flavorless. Not a fan of the j*** sauce either. The curry was tasty. They're located in Columbia Heights, not a place I would go out the way to eat.

I had a couple days of business in DC and stopped in at the Karibbean Kitchen, parking was a bit of a challenge but worth the trip. The service was impeccable! I really enjoyed the Snapper, had a glass of wine which wasn't on the menu, but the staff was very accommodating. I will definitely put this spot back on my list when I am in town.

This is hurtful to post because I try my best to support my black businesses. After reading the reviews last night, I was excited and decided to take a chance and try something new. After trying the food, I was sooooooo disappointed knowing how many great Caribbean and Jamaican choices I passed with wanting to experience a new place. I ordered two oxtail dinners and a side of j*** wings and still can't decide which was worse. The j*** wings were either old, reheated or overcooked and disguised by barbecue sauce. I guess to distract from the old or reheated dried overcooked wings. Very disappointing! Unfortunately, the oxtails were just as bad...day old, reheated and overcooked or both and...extremely tough. So Sorry to post this, but have to say it wasn't a good experience. Maybe it was just an off night or something...

I am not going to lie, this place has some bomb Caribbean food!!!! I tried a great deal on the menu and everything I ate was delicious!!! If you have an extremely large appetite, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!! The owner was extremely nice and welcoming! I am not sure what is exactly upstairs because I didn't walk up there, but you can hear the music (which was a bomb playlist) and you can see the lights up there so I would assume it's a space to maybe lounge.. or dance.. idk!

I visited this restaurant this evening after driving pass and wanting to patronize for weeks. I was extremely disappointed with the service and food. I ordered one of the most basic items on the menu and not only did I receive a burnt patty but the second patty though it seemed fresh in temperature was extremely undercooked as the picture shows the dough looks mushy. There were multiple customers in the store and they seemed busy however I would've waited 15 mins plus for fresh patties.

My rice was uncooked and chicken was dry. I went late but still doesn't explain serving undercooked rice.. Cute establishment however but poor job done on the food.
