Food was very good. Great portions! Brunch menu and drink menu brunch prices were great! The atmosphere was very 'clubbish' and it was very loud. One thing we noticed was a heavy sewage smell that was trying to be masked by the incense burning. I couldn't stop smelling it. I'll get it another try in a couple of weeks.Overall, a nice time.

Brunch we had Catfish and grits, the vanilla French toast platter, the crab cake eggs and the cocktail was the duke. Everything was good, atmosphere was cool, the only thing is parking which that is not Ben’s issue. The parking is $15 about a block or so away if you can’t find street parking.

I'll start by saying the food was excellent and flavorful and just down right soulful AND came out fast! Hats off to the Chef and kitchen team. The customer service has need for improvement... apparently there is a hard rule there about not sharing the "bottomless" mimosa. My wife was simply unable to finish hers, so without wanting to waste I drank the last half glass and they charged us for two ($22ea). Decided not to argue it further, but will say better to use good judgment and common sense with your customers so that they will want to come back. Customer service is the only reason I will not give 5-stars.

My friends and I love BND! Always a blast every single time we go; no complaints ever! Two hours is more than enough time to get your fill. My favorite brunch entree is the fish and grits. The catfish is fried to a perfect crisp and the grits and broth compliment it well.If you’re like us, you like your mimosa carafe with less juice lol so be sure to ask your server for their suggestions!A great Black owned business to visit when you’re in the city! 10/10 always.**each day of the week is dedicated to a specific kind of liquor and features deals on them in addition to their happy hour menu

The shrimp and Grits were really good, the cauliflower was good but little spicy. One thing the appetizer and the main course came at the same time. Servers were also friendly. The drinks were on point! Very nice vibe. Definitely going back.

The atmosphere was cozy, the place isn't big so plan on making reservations. The grits was awesome my salmon was underseasoned but the turkey sausage was good. The waitress was attentive but the bottomless mimosa was watered down, we tried both the pineapple and the orange juice one.

The shrimp and Grits were really good, the bacon chessburger was great as well as the salmon cakes were also good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The drinks were on point! Very nice vibe.

I visited today for the FIRST time. It was very nice and clean. We went for the brunch. I had buffalo cauliflower and Sriracha honey wings and then I had the breakfast platter and I added some chicken apple sausage on the side. SO GOOD! I definitely will return. Our server name was SOLOMON. He was very nice and very attentive to our table. He made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks for a great experience. Will definitely be back!

Went during Happy Hour, wasn't too busy. Food was OK. J*** Salmon is really good. Pasta could use more seasoning, deviled eggs needed more crab meat. Drinks were good. Pre-made frozen drinks are nice and strong. I had one other meal earlier, bfast at hotel then a meal here for dinner, end up being sick later!

My best friend came into town and we want to do something fun so we went to Ben Next Door we had a ball. The atmosphere was great and the food was delicious ?. The music selection was on point to match the unlimited mimosas that came in 3 types cranberry, pineapple, or orange juice. I will definitely be visiting again soon. The only thing I did not like were the bathrooms they were not being kept up at all I went to the two located towards the back and the back of the toilet was missing from one hopefully this will be fixed. But there was toilet paper, running water, and soap so I was good. I definitely recommend checking out the brunch here.

Love their brunch and mimosa options (they come in mason jars)! Their rooftop has a cute aesthetic & is usually packed, the staff was also very attentive

Amazing place. Go there play your own music, have fun. But you don't get beer there.

Great mimosas - you'll get f***** up. Food is trash - if you're chewing while you're here you messed up.

Do you have a hangover and want to help it - with more drinking? Do you want brunch feels without the hassle of getting super dressed up? Do you basically want to drink and wouldn't mind doing so on a rooftop and hope that there's some decent food to eat so that you're being responsible? Eat here!Local 16 is a necessity, if I lived in the area I would visit sporadically... for the reasons listed above. It's comfortable, the staff is kind, our waiter was very attentive without being overbearing. The utensils are plastic, so are the mimosa glasses (this is probably a mixture of COVID precautions and generally an inexpensive solution). The food came out fast and warm. The regular mimosas and Bellinis were yummy but DO NOT ORDER THE MELON MIMOSA, idk what this flavor is but it it ain't melon. Lastly, make a reservation to ensure a spot - but we went just as they opened with no RSVP on a Sunday and we're seated pretty promptly.
