This place is just meh. The food is overpriced and just very ok. You pay anywhere from $7.50- $11.75 per taco. This place was the longest I have waited for a taco in my life. They arrived without all listed ingredients and again were mediocre. We ordered the churros thinking they would save the night, but no. They look good but were mealy. Not fresh and very crumbly on the inside. This place is maybe fine if you are looking to drink and nothing else.

We found this place by chance, and fell in love! The staff was enviting and friendly. The authentic food was delicious. Everything is made fresh in house. I haven't had a delicious fresh corn tortilla like that, ever!!! Highly recommend the tacos. Crispy chicken, lobster and brisket were our favorites. Also try the house margaritas!!!!!

Very good drinks and interesting food. My margarita with mezcal was yummy, and my $12.75 burrito with burnt ends brisket was very good, if a bit overdone on the sauce. At least it wasn’t spicy, as I required a milder heat level. Appetizer of seasonal guacamole (with bacon and roasted pineapple, $15) wasn’t significant in size nor have much pineapple, and the bacon was so thick it wasn’t easy to fork apart or chew. This is the only item I was disappoint in, and I’ll go back for their tacos and grilled tacos. Will eat here again!

It was good overall. I thought the starters were the highlight. It really unique and things I haven’t seen elsewhere. Like grilled corn bread. We only got two tacos because they were like nine dollars each. Lol. But overall a good experience in a cosy interior.

Had grilled cornbread, Mexican jambalaya, and plant-based nachos. All three were excellent!!! Not crowded on a Sunday at 2. Service was also good.

Saw this on Instagram and wanted to come here with my fiancé for date night. The location and atmosphere of this place is great, but the food could use some work. We ordered two appetizers. The chips and guac were bland. The nachos with chicken were pretty good. For tacos I ordered the jumbo shrimp, crispy fish and Nashville hot chicken. The Nashville hot chicken was not spicy and had no flavor. In fact it was over crispy and bland. Jumbo shrimp was okay and crispy shrimp was a little too salty. My fiancé also ordered the Nashville hot chicken, ends brisket and lobster tacos. He agreed the Nashville hot chicken was a fail but he was pleased with the ends brisket and the lobster as they were sufficient enough in flavor and both were juicy. The nachos saved it all for us. Overall, the place is alright but if you’re comparing this to Bar Taco. You’re better off going there and skipping this place.

A solid neighbhood joint with pretty good food. I tried the seasonal guacamole tonight which contained bacon and grilled pineapple. Not bad! Guac could use a little salt though. The shrimp and crispy fish tacos were good, too. The spicy margarita wasn’t too spicy. For those complaining that this isn’t “authentic” Mexican food, I feel like you need to reset your expectations about Mexican food in DC in general. This is a fun place with good food. The service is nice enough though a little slow at times. The food came out all at once so that was annoying.

Big portion sizes, food was yum. The fish stayed crispy throughout and didn't get soggy from all the sauces. Wouldn't call it authentic, but not bad.

Great Saturday Happy Hour!!!! Went for lunch and was surprised when bartender told us they had happy hour available. Great appetizer options for $5 and amazing margarita deals. Service at the bar was excellent! Would come again to try other things on the menu!

This location is in a prime location on 14th street and near Logan circle. It's busy frequently but I don't think the food lives to the hype. The decor is nice and the service was good. The menu is small and they have Vegan options but nothing stood out with the flavors or food portions.

Husband and I came here for their happy hour. We previously saw it packed a night before as we were strolling past it, so decided to check it out. It is such a cozy restaurant and beautiful decorations! We both got their house margaritas (super yummy ) and tried all 5 of their happy hour tacos (Husband tried the meat options and I tried the veggie ones) and they were good as well. We also ordered their queso with the chips and that was AHmazing with a hint of jalapeños (my favorite, not the Husbands). Our waiter was THEE BEST and SO PERSONABLE! I'd hate to name drop, because I want to keep him to myself for when I go back but I'll mention him for the review , Thanks Drew and Thanks MEXiCUE!

I mean, 11 dollars for a single street taco! They are good, margaritas are OK! But nope! Prices are getting out of control!

This place just isn't very good. We got an assortment of bowls, tacos and burritos. Tacos are priced way too high for what it was. We ordered for a larger group and none of the food was labeled so we had to cut open each burrito to figure out what it is. My bowl wasn't bad but the flavors were just alright. Nothing really special about the meat or the sauces it came with. I will say the street corn was wonderful.

This place was a SLAY. I got the mandarita and it was DELISH. My queen behind the bar knew exactly what she was doing. My friend got the house margarita and said it tasted like a lime popsicle-- obsessed. The poblano queso was delicious and I would 100% get it again. We also got the pulled pork BBQ grilled tacos and while they were messy, I'd eat 10 more of them right now if I could. The location is perfectly ideal and they offer reservations. LOVE!

Amazing food, vibes, drinks and atmosphere. There's something here for everyone. We got the taco salad, two tacos, Mexican street corn and apple cider margaritas. Everything was amazing. Definitely get the seasonal margarita. Tacos are a la cart and are awesome. Corn is fresh. Food also came out super fast. I'd love to come back!
