This place is a little run down that's the only critique. Someone should paint and do the floors to give a better impression to the community. The bread is great, they have the polvorones with three flavors chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. This is my favorite. Then the steak tacos and the cilantro and red salsa are just like they should be. They serve it with onion cilantro and a lime like they should. Solid place, just it would be good if they invested on the looks cause it looks dirty but just from how old the floor and fixtures are. Once they remodel for like 2k they'll get all types of clientele. It was quite an effort too go there or bring ppl there to try mexican food cause of the looks of the place.Parking: Watch out with the restrictions for zoning they'll toe you.

They don’t show prices so they can’t charge Americans more money and also they pretend they don’t know what I’m saying …….it’s infested with flys as soon as you walk in

The food isn’t terrible it’s good. The problem I have is that whenever I order they NEVER check order notes. They don’t care if you don’t want something on your meal you’re getting it anyways. It’s the one Mexican restaurant that doesn’t give salsa and doesn’t care if you ask for it either. They also always forget sides. It’s insane.

Food is decent. Service is TERRIBLE. Extremely rude girl that took our orders, refused to serve us water saying they had none, and made us clean up our own table when no other customers had to. I was in shock, worst service I’ve ever experienced.

OVERALL: small bakery that offers classic latin pastries. I've only come here for the roscas. They offer small, medium, and large roscas. The medium is pretty big and enough for 15 or so people. They have approximately 6 baby toys inside. They normally have long lines on Jan 6 but you can preorder over the phone and they'll reserve one for you. It comes in a beautiful box decorated for dia de los reyes 5/5 for the roscaVENUE: The place is really small and not organized. It's always crowded but there is no crowd control which is always frustrating. The times I've been there it hasn't looked that well kept and I didn't feel any AC. 3/5 for venue.

I give Mi Casita 5/5 because they hit a memory of my childhood with the food they serve. It's as if you are being sat at your abuelas cocina on a Sunday morning, cartoons are on, and the scent of tortillas fills the kitchen. I bring my close friends and family here to eat and we are always serviced with great smiles and even better attitude. The team here really loves what they do and you can tell with every bite you take. There's enough of a selection that anyone and everyone can eat here. I mean it when I say, this is a hidden gem of DC and I hope they continue serving food that hits home for not only myself pero la comunidad.
