I went to the restaurant with a group of professional latina women to eat small plates and have some wine. The server was rushing us all the time. Not sure why, because the restaurant was completely empty. She asked if were going to order something else, we said we wanted to eat small plates since we had brunch earlier. She came back and started taking our plates and utensils away and we were not done eating. We told her to please bring utensils back so we can finish. She brought utensils back and the check. The check included 20% gratuity so I guess she didn't feel the need to be nice to us. We were speaking Spanish so maybe they didn't like that. We felt discriminated against at this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place to any of my friends or coworkers.

Good food, but overpriced, not the best, and has some serious customer service issues. We live nearby and come all the time. Their menu is limited but has some good options. If coming for dinner, I highly recommend their moules frites or steak frites. If coming for brunch, you can't go wrong with the pancakes (with a side of bacon) or fried chicken sandwich. It's all delicious, albeit overpriced. There have been a few customer service issues. Worst was when we had a dinner reservation and they called us, only a few days before the reservation, to tell us we can't come because they rented out the restaurant. They were not at all apologetic and were actually pretty rude about it until I mentioned we had family coming from out of town and did NOT want a reservation the next day. They should have given more notice (because getting a reservation somewhere else mere days before can be a pain) or honored their reservation (even with the rest of the place booked). Another time, when we told the waiter we didn't want to drink any alcohol and just wanted two burgers (which is okay but nothing special - the Diner down the street does a much better one), he was extremely rude. Just really nasty to us because we weren't spending enough money. Overall, the food is good but you can get better versions of everything on their menu at many other places, so it's not worth the high cost. They are pretentious and have customer service issues. We will come back while we live in the neighborhood, but once we move to another part of town I seriously doubt we'll ever eat here again.

Definitely cute spot with indoor and outdoor dining. 3 stars with potential for more, but I only had a chance to try this watermelon beet ricotta dish. It was lovely, light, and refreshing - perfect for and hot and humid DC day.

I enjoyed this Sunday brunch. It was outdoors and servers were mostly masked, which I appreciate for COVID safety. I highly recommend the cinnamon rolls served in a skillet. Loved that mimosas come in different juice flavors.

Excellent cocktails and food. New chef from Jan '22. Worth the walk, or drive if you're far. Inventive seasonal food that's reminiscent of classics you've had before but with a modern twist keeping you on your toes.

Solid spot! My go to in the area. Never disappoints. Delicious modern bistro. Great vibe and service. Totally fair prices and great for any occasion.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and impeccable, quick service. If you’re looking for a good place to eat in Adams Morgan look no further. Sergio was amazing and took care of us, made amazing recommendations, made our entire trip! Would give it more stars if possible.

Always a top choice for us when in DC, but haven't been in a while and my wife and I were very impressed (again) with the food and service. Started with the Tuna Tartare and Housemade Ricotta. Both excellent. The ricotta included a strawberry mustarda that used not overly ripe strawberries so had just a hint of sweetness. We had the Wood Roasted Dorade with a swordfish mouse (menu item) and Pork Ragout w/Pappardelle Pasta (special) for entrees. Both well prepared and presented. Lots of flavor and delicious. A Chocolate Tart and Raspberry Mousse to close out the dinner. Yum! Go sit outside on a nice evening and watch the folks from Adams Morgan stroll by. A great neighborhood restaurant!

First I’d say that Micki, our waitress was the sweetest and most caring ever. She clearly knows how to provide an excellent service.Following her recommendation, i took the LEG OF LAMB - (grilled leg steak, zucchini, hibiscus yogurt, mint + cumin relish) which was very rich and tasty sMy colleague took MINTWOOD BURGER - (bacon, cheddar, pickled lettuce roulade, marie rose sauce, house cut fries or frisée salad) and said it was fantastic. My other colleague, took The MUSSELS (salt cod, smoked lemon, bacon, fennel, house cut fries) judging by how quick he finished it, clearly that he loved it to .My friend who took ROASTED HALF CHICKEN (roasted baby vegetables, jus de poult) says it tasted good however it didn’t looking very appealing (especially The chicken actually hand .The only thing we didn’t like was the CHOCOLATE TART - strawberry bubbles, puffed brown rice, smoked sweet cream. We felt that the smoke cream flavor was too dominant and overtook the flavor of the chocolate.

We went for Easter brunch. I'm always a bit worried when eating out on a holiday as it seems some restaurants either can't handle the crowd or take advantage by reducing service to make extra money. NOT the case here. Our family of five was greeted graciously. The staff was very attentive. Everyone loved their food. My Eggs Florentine was the best I've ever had...truly. My appetizer of bread with fig/ricotta spread was absolutely delightful. The experience was quality from start to finish. We are looking forward to returning.

Delicious food, yummy cocktails, and kind staff. The Florence Benedict was the only just okay meal that we got. Everything else was stand out! The spinach was a little mushy. The homemade ricotta dish was absolutely worth it! The salmon toast was yummy. My fiance really loved the burger and it's highly loved by many!

My friend and I came in last night for dinner, we sat down at the bar, got menus, water, no problem. Pretty quickly, we noticed that there something going on with their HVAC or something, because there was HOT air blasting us in the face from a the vents behind the bar. No big deal, we said something to the bartender, along the lines of, “can this be fixed, or would you serve us at the high top away from the bar?” Our bartender(the real victim here), asked if we would prefer to sit at the bar if he could get management to fix the problem. We said yes, because my best friend and I are also both bartenders and are always more comfortable at the bar than at a table. We should have just moved to the high top then. Our bartender leaves for a sec and comes back with this manager, who basically says “oh you feel hot air coming out of there? That’s weird because it’s off!” Like, what was that? So we were like okay, so I guess you didn’t want us to spend what would have absolutely been about a $200 dinner at your empty bar. We tipped our bartender and left. Manager of the year could have said anything, like “there’s something wrong with the system, I can’t do anything about it right now, but we would be happy to serve you at this high top right here out of the way of the vent. Instead he called us stupid and offered no solution.

Really like a 4.2.Nice brunch spot. $27 brunch deal is worth it. Definitely fills you up. The Burger and Chix sandwich were good (but not spectacular). The Bloody Mary could be better (and get paper straws!)

I love this restaurant. We've even selected it for our anniversary dinner. However, last night, it was odd. We were told before we were even seated, "there's an hour and a half limit on each table" ... ummm okay. Here's hoping the service is that good. Next, out waiter didn't really seem like he wanted to serve us. Just seemed irritated. It was hard to decide what to eat. The three of us shared delicious appetizers, but when my half roasted chicken arrived... Other tables were even looking at my plate. What in the world was this chef thinking? I LOVE a half roasted chicken. And this one tasted good. But I had to rip meat off this arm with claws and all and get it out of my sight. So off putting. I couldn't finish the meal. Just WRONG! Not sure if I'll risk it again, Mintwood Place.

I've gone to Mintwood plenty of times for Brunch and have come away impressed. The fried chicken sandwich in particular is great. I was very disappointed when I went for dinner though. The Pork Porterhouse was a huge let down on other hand. I could barely cut it it was so tough and the taste was bland at best. The desserts were even worse. The chocolate tart tasted like it was placed on an ash tray for some reason. I'm not picky at all when it comes to desserts so trust me when I say it's bad. The Prix Fixe menu was 60 a person after tax and tip (45 before) and was a big waste of money in my opinion. If I ever go back again I'm going to stick with the fried chicken and the Mixed Green salad. Maybe it was a bad meal or maybe this place just fell off a cliff.
