Very, very mediocre food. Flavourless fried rice, flavourless papaya salad, burnt egg roles. Actually the worst Vietnamese food I've ever had. Oh, and multiple huge COCKROACHES climbing the walls and scuttling across the floor. Service was bad, too . . . spilled things all across the table and just left it there.

Consistently solid with food you can enjoy on a sweaty, July day or in the middle of winter. Favorite pho option is the spicy lemon grass, medium spicy ?. Spring rolls (veggie or meat, your call) are a must. Give Pho Viet a try.

Been going here for at least 10 years. Great lemongrass spicy Pho if you like the hots. Wife gets vegetarian I get the meats, both good. Good apps, nice atmosphere , kid friendly been taking ours since babes. Its a small quaint space and gets crowded but no problem to stand around till you get a space. Takeout is good too, pack it up real well.

Decided to try this place on a whim since it was down the street from my Airbnb. I grabbed the special and some spring rolls. The special was amazing, and the sauce that came with it was a wonderful addition. I would definitely order it again. The place itself is small and got really packed after I got in, yet people were really cool about sharing tables with other groups. It's definitely a welcoming sight coming from a place where you see two people at a 6-person table, yet you have to wait 30-45 minutes for them to finish rather than just taking the seats not being used

I ordered the clay pot catfish (Ca kho to). This dish should typically have fillets of catfish braised in a clay pot with caramelized fish sauce glaze. The one I was served was more of a soupy broth with white fish bits. The dish fell short of expectations. The mistake is partly on me for having ordered something other than pho.

Best Pho I've ever had in the North East (including NYC). The broth is perfectly balanced and the fact that you can choose the spiciness level makes all the difference. I prefer medium but my friends had the spicy and they loved it. Staff is super friendly. Get a Vietnamese coffee as well !

Wow, what a place. I was so impressed that I spoke with one of the owners about how much I loved it. The staff, the environment, the efficiency, the regulars, and the FOOD ? 10/10, would give more stars if I could. Wonderful restaurant with a lot of love poured into it.

Pho Viet in Petworth is a hidden gem, not to be confused with the chain Pho Viet USA in the area. It's a place that's easy to miss from the street, and it boasts kitschy Christmas decorations outside, year-round.While there are some tables outside, the real charm lies within. The interior is cozy and intimate, but be prepared to share a table with others, especially on the weekends. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the spicy lemongrass pho, and I personally can't resist getting it with brisket. Now, let's talk about spice levels. I'm usually a fan of full spice, but I've had to reevaluate my choices. The full spice here is no joke - it's seriously spicy. In fact, it's so spicy that I go through a good 20 napkins for my nose and another 30 for the sweat on my head. So, if you're feeling brave, go for it, but consider the half or even 1/4 spice levels. The brisket can be amazing but occasionally a bit too fatty. Regardless, the flavor is what makes this place shine. The prices are quite reasonable, making it all the more tempting to come back for that spicy kick. In my book, this is the best pho I've ever had, primarily because I'm a fan of the bold, spicy flavors. If you share my passion for heat, this is the place to be.On other notes, Vietnamese coffee is a popular choice here, and the staff is incredibly friendly and hardworking. They offer canned sodas, and my partner particularly enjoys the spring rolls. It seems they handle quite a few pickups, but delivery might not be an option. You'll notice many regulars among the patrons, and if I lived closer, I'd definitely become a regular too.

Vietnamese food is my all-time favorite, and Pho always my 1st choice every time I read the menu. I tried so many Pho from all different restaurants, and I can tell you right now that Pho from here is top-notch. Never had spicy lemongrass broth before, so I gave it a try. My oh my, what a wonderful taste. Broth is so beefy with strong flavor of lemongrass. You can modify the level of spiciness as wellJust remember, if you drive, to park your car is not that easy. I have to walk a couple blocks . But, it was all worthed
