If I could give this place 100/5 I would. Went for a drink, stayed for 3 hours. Luke is the best bartender both in the drinks he makes but also helping find the right cocktail for your mood. Even gave us a few small samples of the drinks on tap to try beforehand.GET THE RHUBARB SODA it might change your life. Most of the people at the bar with us were locals and regulars. Very cute decor as well.Small spot so limited seating. If you want to go for dinner recommend getting a reservation ahead of time.If I lived here I’d have my name engraved on a stool.

We were in DC to see Thievery Corporation on Saturday March 16th, we happened upon Service Bar while out exploring the neighborhood we were staying in on Sunday evening. This place is a proper cocktail bar - Luke was very sweet explaining the mezcal special cocktails of the evening and Cullen and Co. behind the bar are amazing mixologists. The vibe was hip and the DJ was spinning great stuff. The cocktails were definitely the star of the show - kudos all around. We'll be back when we visit DC again for sure. Keep up the good work Service Bar DC!

I love this place!! It's conveniently located off the U Street Metro and has both outdoor and indoor seating. I will note that outdoor seating only takes up to 4 people for seating as I went with a group of 5 and we couldn't sit outside even though I had made an outdoor reservation for 5. However, the staff was very accommodating for our party since I had made a reservation and we were eventually seated in a little closed off room which turned out to be so fun! The staff served us when we turned a light switch on which was so cool! The drinks were great and their happy hour menu is such a deal! If you can't make it to happy hour the prices are standard DC prices around $15-$25 per drink. I got the pisco punch and mango sticky rice drink which was such a unique take on a classic dessert. Overall, a great time and would go again! Pictured: shishito peppers, fries, mozzarella balls

First off, the cocktails were great-- I especially really liked the mango sticky rice cocktail, which was creamy and fruity. We sat on the terrace, and the ambiance was pretty good. Service was great too-- everyone was friendly. Definitely coming back to grab more cocktails!

This place has my heart! The ambiance is usually very lively, with upbeating music (very cool playlists) and people chatting. However, the staff is truly the star of the show here, so friendly, knowledgable, and funny. It seems like they really enjoy the work and treat each other and the guests like family. I highly recommend sitting at the bar to watch the team work, chitchat, and you may get a sample of something delicious into try. I don't come here nearly enough but have already sensed a community among the staff and regulars. They have a wide selection of drinks and their menu may be one of the most easy to follow, accessible one I've ever seen. The sections (light/refreshing, bold/sour, full-bodied/stirred, etc.) are such accurate descriptions for the drinks and useful in helping me decide. But honestly, everything I've had here were hits. The only regret is I didn't get to try the Sagittarius before it was sold out. But they kindly offered me a sample of the spiced honey lime soda and it was great.

We actually ate outside in February, and it wasn't bad. I've never had dinner with my coat on, but i enjoyed it.

Absolute gem. Was told about this place by another bartender at a Michelin star restaurant. I asked where to get the best drinks and he said this is where the bartenders go. Started and ran by several bartenders, these folks know their way around a cocktail.

OMG.....I am not a fan of this level of LOUD and so many people in such a small space. Walked in, felt the vibe, and walked back out. Couldn't even hear a word my other hand was trying to say to me.

This bar is a great hangout spot to relax and catch up for happy hour. The vibes are cool and the drinks are great. Their Pisco punch is a great option on their happy hour drink list. The punch is changed every so often with seasonal mixers. Mine included a lovely hibiscus, lemon, and chamomile. The wait staff was incredibly nice and answered all of my menu questions while serving quickly despite the busy crowd. I definitely recommend he king this place out for your next after-work spot.

One of the best, if not the best, cocktail bars in DC. Cannot stress enough how amazing their service is and how impeccable every cocktail I've had there is. Always changing and always good. Their fried chicken sandwich and other food is also amazing. Cannot go wrong.

Always a good time at service bar: the place is a proper cocktail bar, and the specials are truly unique even amongst the proliferation of similar outfits. The cocktails are priced on par with other DC places but arguably better and much more creative. Similarly, the food and appetizers are just on point. Good fried chicken and wings, highly recommend a night out there.

Middy city these days. Ambivalent service, bad ice, every drink the same weight, boring.
