Really disappointed with this bakery. I placed an order to be delivered through Uber eats. They sent a message for some order correction, so I called back and confirmed that everything is ok and they will be sending my order. Then after 30 minutes I received a notification from Uber eats that they had cancelled my order. They were not ready to make any accommodation to add an extra box even if I pay extra and after all the discussion cancelled the order, and didn’t even bother to call and mention the reason for doing so. Over priced and overhyped bakery.

I waited for an hour while they rushed to finish the cake. When we finally opened the box, the cake was broken because they made it last minute. This experience left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied with the service. It's crucial for businesses to prioritize quality over speed to ensure customer satisfaction.

Bought a cake for a friend's birthday. The design and size was nothing crazy and it cost over $100 and when we cut into the cake it was super dry. The design turned out nicely though.

Good cake, vanilla with lemon flavored frosting. I added the disco balls myself. The cake itself was delicious, but I specifically ordered a heart shaped cake which I paid extra for and did not receive. No refund policy but it was still annoying because it was for my 21st birthday.

My experience with this place was awful. I’m not trying to be a Karen but as soon as you walk in to the shop you can see the embarrassing quality of this places cakes. I ordered a cake for my birthday and the cake was slanted and badly frosted. It looked like I could’ve made it myself, and for $60 it’s definitely not worth it. I don’t understand the hype that the cake room gets. I very politely asked the workers if they could do anything to fix the cake and the workers were very impolite, gave me additude, and questioned my complaint various times. ??? I had to ask three times until it looked decent. Gordon Ramsey could do wonders with this mediocre place. So unprofessional and rude. In this day in age places like this should not exist. Thank u for coming to my Ted talk.

For me, cheesecake is either like nanas was or it’s just not. Let me just say, the lotus cheesecake would make nana proud. I haven’t had one come as close to hers since her passing than this. Very impressed.

Pretty good! The cupcakes I got were delicious (especially the salted caramel one). The store is cute and when I went there was hardly a line and the employees were all super nice. Will definitely become my go to cupcake spot

Love. I'll acknowledge up-front that while I have a bit of a sweet tooth, I'm particular about the level of sweetness, and most handcrafted dessert foods and drinks are just too sweet for me. That doesn't mean I can't appreciate and recognize a great cupcake, however. For my birthday I had my heart set on a carrot cake cupcake, and the Cakeroom has a pretty strong offering. The cake is a tad dry, but I actually find that perfect when you get SO MUCH frosting, you really need a balance. Flavor-wise the cake is very good, a classic lightly spiced carrot cake. The cream cheese frosting was just a bit sweeter than I prefer, since I like my cream cheese frosting with more of a tang. A cupcake I got on a whim was the strawberry cupcake - sometimes whims work out, sometimes they don't, and I'd say this one leaned on the "don't" side (it didn't). This one was too sweet all around, and the cake part, which had real strawberry in it, reminded me of what I'd expect strawberry cough syrup to taste like. Not getting that again for sure. My surprise favorite was the pumpkin cupcake, which also came with cream cheese frosting. This was a bit less sweet than the cake of the carrot cake cupcake, which made the spice a bit more prominent. The previously too sweet cream cheese frosting seemed almost just right here - was the pumpkin cake a better contrast? Maybe just a better batch of frosting? I couldn't tell you. But I'd definitely get this one again. My partner's favorite cake (generally) is yellow cake with chocolate frosting, and he really liked the cupcake iteration here. He also enjoyed the red velvet cupcake, but was most impressed by the vegan Oreo cupcake (he insisted that it's NOT cookies and cream so I'm making sure to represent it properly). He is not quite as exacting as I am about food, so I couldn't get much more detail on any of his cupcake opinions.

A nice little bakery in AdMo! I love the free cookie you get for checking in on Yelp. Their chocolate chip cookie was heavenly! Service was quick and kind. I love that they cut the cakes in front of you instead of having pre-sliced pieces ready to go. The cakes were tasty but a little underwhelming. I found all three cakes to be slightly stale, even though I ate them only a couple hours after purchase. The lotus cookie cheesecake similarly didn't quite do it for me. But they were all beautiful!

Overall I'd say 4.5 stars. The cake tasted delicious--people raved, and considering not everyone loves carrot cake that is an achievement. The appearance was a little disappointing: the picture online had dark green on the carrots, but the reality was a mint green. If I had known that was the color, I would have gotten the wording in a different color. And they messed up one of the carrots. Would I order again though? Absolutely, hence the 5 stars. My friend got a confetti cake for his birthday from there and oh my god I would go back just for that. I still think about that cake. I used to go for the cupcakes from Baked Joint, but they are too dense. This was just the right consistency in both cake and frosting.

Have walked by this bakery so many times and was so excited to see they sell their leftovers on Too Good To Go. Unfortunately what I got for $5.99 was chocolate birthday cake scraps with a smidge of frosting that tasted like color dye. Feeling disappointed by this offering from them. I would've loved to try a cupcake or a cake slice when paying $5.99

Always a great option! Tasty and appealing to look at. The blueberry cheesecake is my go-to. 10/10 would recommend.

Delicious dessert place in DC! The cakes slices are very generous and definitely worth the price. Cakes and cupcakes here were all very moist and flavorful. The cookies were also quite good. I tried the Strawberries & Cream, Cookies & Cream, Lotus Cookie Butter, and Salted Caramel flavors. All of the were delicious, but my favorite was certainly the Strawberries & Cream! I would highly recommend giving this place a visit sometime! You order your desserts at the entrance, and if you choose to dine in, you can walk upstairs to a cozy second-floor seating area with some couches and only two or three tables with seats. It's a very cute and cozy atmosphere.
