The cocktails are on point. I had a Mezcal JungleBird and a Firing Squad. Both were delicious. My friends also liked their drinks. The bartenders were fun and entertaining. The one guy has a propeller on his vat - he is hilarious.
We had lamb kebabs, hummus, and charcuterie. The lamb was so tender and tasty - a little bit spicy with a hint of mint. I think that the hummus had beets in the recipe - delicious. They gave us so much hummus that we could have used more pita but we didn’t ask. The bresaola on the charcuterie plate was out of this world. I heard that they make a pretty solid burger but we already had dinner and we were just snacking with late night drinks.
Classy place. Framed prints of Alphonse Mucha’s work behind the bar - there is an Art Nouveau feel. Nice looking room.
Pretty great place - one of the best places in DC IMO. I really hope that it doesn’t get ruined by stupid drunks roaming around Dupont Circle.
Parking: Not easy to park on the weekends.

I liked this place! Lovely decor and vibe, cozy with a vintage feel. We had a double date here. The menu is extensive, and both drinks I had (Paloma and Naked and Famous) were quite good. Prices are steep but not unreasonable. My chicken kebab with yogurt was alright, spicy and favorable but not super memorable. My partner’s burger was delish. Nice servers although occasionally disorganized, like we had two waiters for our table. Not too noisy, so it’s a good place for conversation.

The cocktails were not great. I asked if they could make some tiki drinks and they said "mai tais are good"; they then proceeded to produce two cocktails without simple or orgeat.
The same happened for the sidecar my friend ordered. Congealed lemon juice, no garnish, and sharp sharp sharp flavors.
The charcuterie was fine, the crab bisque was good, and we were told that they didn't have seats for us initially after having a reservation for 2 days in advance.
They ask for a dress code, but nobody gave a darn, as well. This wasn't too big an issue.
After 175$ for 4 people on a couple of appetizers and cocktails, I expect a lot more. Go to Bar Charley's up the road.

Loved the ambiance and their bartender, Smokey took care of us. He made great recommendations and their drinks were fantastic. We tried their Gin Martinez and also their N/A Amaro. Great cocktail and the Amaro was the best mocktail I’ve ever had. - didn’t just taste like juice and had a great non alcoholic replacement flavor. Definitely recommend and will be back.
Dietary restrictions: Good non alcoholic drink options.

The cocktails were fantastic. Staff was great. A little louder than I prefer inside, but what can you do.
The burger was... Not great. I'd grab food somewhere else and come here for a drink.

Every now and then you run into a place where the people behind the bar know exactly what they’re doing. The Golden Age was one of them. I didn’t have to look at the menu and tell Carlos exactly what I liked and he took it from there. One of the best cocktail experiences I’ve had in my life. The place is beautiful and the drinks are on the next level. So happy I stumbled upon this gem.

My friend and I stumbled upon this location and it happened to be their anniversary. After proving I indeed am older than 21 (lol - security was actually pleasant), you step down in the space. The ambiance was lively during the event with live music which you could also see and hear outside of the venue (it didn't overpower the venue), dim lit, architecture inspired by the gilded age.
We luckily snagged 2 seats at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by Haytham. The cocktails were great and he even made a manhattan sour that was to die for. Everyone around was asking what we were drinking based on the presentation.
We opted for the lamb skewers and farro salad. I'm not usually a salad fan, but the flavor profile was satisfying. If I had the salad alone it would not have felt satiated, but the side of lamb kebobs did the trick.
Great food, chill vibes, and most importantly well made cocktails - you can't go wrong with coming here to start or end your night.
