The farm salad was fantastic, very flavorful! The Mac n Cheese was absolutely the best I've ever had! The pork chop was exquisite and perfectly cooked. Booked this by chance and so glad I did, great goid and service! Definitely will be back again!

What a great place to eat if you enjoy pork I'd highly recommend trying this place. I had the grilled pork chop and it was phenomenal even the puree on the plate was tasty. The cheesecake was also great. I'd definitely go back in my next DC trip.

I really enjoyed dining at the pig during my last trip to DC, the staff was nice and courteous, the food was delicious, with locally sourced ingredients and prepared with love and care. The restaurant is cozy and intimate. We did however have two problems. First, we ordered two sides that never made it to the table. Second, the fan over our heads forced us to keep the jackets on for the longest part of our dinner. A real shame, 'cause the food was really, really tasty. I loved the chicken above all, it was juicy and soft, the sauce delicate and delicious.

FOOD EXECUTION SO NOT ALL THAT GOOD. FOOD WAS SERVED LUKE WARM, FRIES BORDERED ON COLD, PORK BELLY WAS MORE TOUGH THAT TENDER AND LUKE WARM AT BEST. BACON FILET WAS GREAT AS WERE THE SCALLOPS. JUST HIT AND MISS. GREAT SERVICE, COMFORTABLE RELAXING ATMOSPERE.

This was our first visit to the Pig and it was more enjoyable than we could have imagined. The service was great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. Our dishes were so good that we requested to speak with the Chef and he had taken the time to come by to chat. Kudos to the Staff and looking forward to our next visit.

Looking for an interesting place to eat, bumped across this restaurant. With a name of The Pig how could I not try it out? ?It wasn't too full when we first arrived there, around 6:30pm on a Saturday night, but it got much busier and louder by the time we left.Started off with some wine and a Shirley mocktail. The wine was fine and I liked the taste of the mocktail too.We split a beet salad as an appetizer, which was nice, but wish there was a higher beets to arugala ratio. That was followed by the heritage shank and the crackling pork belly. The heritage shank was very nicely done and we both enjoyed it. The pork belly was also good, though one criticism I would level is the crackling wasn't what I'm used to. But that's probably because I'm fond of the Chinese pork crackling style which is airy, crunchy and shatters as you chew it. The texture of this crackling is much thinner and more solid. I suspect the sauce applied to the top also made it less crunchy and tougher to chew/cut through. But this is just my style preference. We finished off with a gluten free brownie, which was slightly dry, but the ice cream and whipped cream helped moisten it.One thing I would have loved to try was the suckling pig, but you have to order ahead for that. Another time maybe!Service was efficient and friendly, with food served quickly, with the exception of the dessert, oddly. Though that could have been due to it getting busy at the end.Overall, liked the restaurant and the food.

The food is good if you like pork and whiskey. Really, the food is good. And the staff is fantastic! But this place isn't the Pig it used to be. If you're looking for BBQ, don't come here. They used to have all sorts of BBQ options: baked beans, coleslaw, cornbread, beef ragu, and pulled pork just to name a few. They even had a way to order multiple meats and sides as a dinner option. I was able to do this on April 21, 2022. However, they've been pulling back the BBQ options. In February 2022, I got beef ragu. Today, September 29, 2022, they don't have that on the menu, nor were baked beans, coleslaw, and cornbread. They didn't have the drinks we wanted. And the Mac'N'Cheese we ordered today was cold. Prices have also gone up, so that's also a consideration (we overheard some other customers agree with us that some things on the menu are "too expensive"). So again, if you want expensive pork ($30+) and whiskey ($14+), come on in! But if you want BBQ, try another place.

Anything pig related on the menu is fantastic and the cocktails are great. The Mac and Cheese however tastes a bit bland (prob due to the type of cheese they use) and the cheese cake could have been sweeter. Great ambiance though and the service was great. Would go back very soon for more pork!

One of my favourite places to eat in DC. No one makes pork like they do here.Highly recommend the face bacon as a starter- ridiculously rich, tender, and flavourful following either a generous roasting or braising and with a perfect crust on the outside from fry afterwards. Best to also get a salad in preparation for all the meat to come. The pork shank is a must order- their preparation of it changes from time to time I think but it is always delicious. The butcher’s block is also a great way to sample an array of their offerings including the amazing pulled pork, ribs, and sausage. The fried onions that came with the platter might have been the only miss of the night as they were soggy and under-seasoned- forgivable in light of everything else that was otherwise phenomenal. The service was excellent- our waitress was super friendly and ultra enthusiastic, to the point where she often came by before we even had a chance to start to ask us how the dishes were! Phenomenal place that I will probably come back to every time I’m back in the area. Highly recommend.

Diner

Started with a wonderful watermelon appetizer with goat cheese, olive oil and seasoning. Then had “The Pig” which is a meal for 2 which included porchetta, pulled pork, pork sausage, barbecued ribs, arugula salad, cole slaw, french fries and rolls. All the choices were tasty and plentiful with extra sauces included. Would recommend any of the individual meats.

This restaurant says it is a BBQ restaurant however, it is not your usually BBQ restaurant. Perhaps BBQ with a twist. The Pig burger was tough, overcooked, dry and just not good. It was $19 which was somewhat excessive and I would have expected a GREAT burger for that price. My guest had the Butcher's Block which was better but still not great. The sausage casing was so tough it was inedible, the pulled pork was a bit dry, the ribs were not bad but the entire dish was not worth the $35. I would not recommend or go back.
