Takes the feel of a traditional bar and adds a downstairs where multiple bands play live for an incredibly reasonably priced door fee, especially since you get close and personal with the bands. Crowds are accommodating of people wanting to dance. Really fun, very cool people just there to enjoy the music.

Great bar/music venue and I'm sorry to see it go.

Great dive bar for a quick after hour drinks. Also serves as a DIY venue for punk rock, heavy metal and other indie bands. Check their facebook and website for show listings. If you're a fan of DIY shows and/or miss the old days of DC underground rock venues this is your spot!

The pinch is the absolute best and I'm bereft it's closing.

Best neighborhood spot for a drink and weekday fun and drinks. Haven't been to one of their concerts but looking forward to it.

A really cool, almost hole in the wall type of vibe. The basement is where the comedy shows are. The bartender was slammed down there but On point! Good wings too.

The place is ok, but I went to a show and rang up an $11 tab. I went to go pay it and "forgot" to put a cash tip down. The downstairs bartender then woke up and rudely calls me out in front of people. It was beyond embarrassing and could have easily been solved by approaching me nicely, in which I would have happily gave him the tip I forgot.

Awesome bar to see DIY metal and punk shows at in the basement.
Kay Rheanne

I enjoyed it so much! Small venue! I went for their Tuesday Comedy night, I was the last one to get up on the stage so it was just my friends listening to me but I still enjoyed myself! The staff was super friendly and attentive! If you're going downstairs (they have a bar restaurant upstairs and a smaller bar and stage downstairs) be careful on the stairs! Super slippery when it's been raining! I'm going back again! -8/20/2019
Small venue but not in a bad way. You can get up close to the stage and the performers. Bar's good too. Can be easy to miss though.

Great Venue for live bands! They also have food!

The upstairs is a pretty legit dive bar - a little too sportsy for my taste, but cool. The basement is a DIY-ish band space w/2nd bar. I've only been once, but it was for Punk.Black!, so they've made a fan of me already. I hope to see many more shows here. One of my coolest finds in the DC underground music scene yet. Super excited to have found this place

I had been in this place before and the fist thing I noticed is that it smells and is run down. I went in today and went downstairs to see if they had anything down there and was called out by a guy upstairs with a microphone and mocked for looking there. Here is an idea, put a rope up when it is closed and don't mock your potential customers. The last time I was there they had an open mic, it looks like they do it nightly and sadly it is awful. Yuppie types hang out there and do look like they have a good time so good for them.

Lovely neighborhood spot. The Pinch has an exceptional selection of craft beers, and a menu of hearty American food that includes some of the best wings in DC.
