We always enjoy visiting Summer House when we're in town.1/24 - We were in town this past weekend. Not all businesses were open since it was off season, but we're glad Summer House was! They had specials for lunch and we were not disappointed!

I only seem to be only seeing old reviews online, so I'll give my opinion for a recent visit February 2024. First time trying this place and last time. We were seated in a booth which was obviously ripped and had black tape covering the seat, and not just in our booth. For a newly renovated restaurant, I wonder why the shabby decor? We were brought a carafe of water which was luke warm at best. I can't say much good about our waiter either. Our food arrived with some missing items and we needed to order beverages. Never saw him after the food arrived and I finally walked to the bar area to order a beer. He brought missing items after most of meal was consumed. The food was bland and tastelessness (except for the French fries which were crispy and hot). Sorry you have a nice new place there and need to do much better!

We decided to get out while in Rehoboth Beach. Very nice restaurant. The staff was so friendly & the food was equally as good.

Loved this place. Went for Monday burger special. Excellent burger with onion rings, really nice server, pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely be returning.
Overall, I thought the food was good and if you are looking for a more traditional restaurant.... this is it! I would recommend this restaurant!

After posting a 5 star review for an excellent experience, it is only right to post when things go awry... Lisa was still terrific-an excellent server! My salmon was cooked to perfection and the sauce was divine. But...and this is a big but...whoever decided to use phyllo dough for a Chicken Pot Pie should be immediately sent back to culinary school. I was horrified when it arrived, with the top outer layers dry as leaves of paper and the inner ones turned into instant goo from the very soupy broth. The whole thing was a disaster with a capital D- including that soup consistency. The mix was mostly potatoes that still had skins on. Broccoli was included (ick) There was hardly any chicken and what was there was not nice. And the broth had an unpleasant taste. This is a place that does puff pastry for their Wellington. Although it still is not the perfect pie dough, it would have been orders better than phyllo! I highly recommend this place do a re-think on this (horrible) dish.
