Location is nice but for the expensive price of the food and the fact that they only been open today since 12:00 noon the food should be fresh or taste fresh. I ordered the crab ball platter with Mac n cheese and yams with a side of seafood salad. The mac n cheese is dry no taste/seasoning. The yams is BUSSING. I give them a thumbs up. Crab balls are dry and whatever grease it was cooked in needs to be CHANGED.I also got the chicken wing platter with mac and yams and the chicken was under cooked no flavor and tasted as if the crab balls and chicken was cooked in the same grease. I didn't get my bread nor condiments. I paid $50 dollars where I should have paid $20 at best for this monstrosity. So basically I was very DISAPPOINTED and I would come again but only to purchase yams and nothing else. Sorry not Sorry

Crazy because I came here when they first opened and they were very good taste like they did it with passion . My co workers did lunch the other day from this place and I was hoping to get the same results but no highly disappointed. Only thing good was the fish the greens were to salty and vinegary like they were rushed , the Mac and cheese taste rushed and just thrown together. This place fell off a lot I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for good soul food . I don’t recommend if you’re looking for good soul food .

Friendly service. I ordered the fried salmon, mac and cheese, greens and I ordered a side of seafood salad. The fried salmon was delicious! But the other items weren't so delicious. The greens were very vinegary and the mac noodles were overcooked and tasted like processed cheese was used. Seafood salad was disappointing also. I would return if I was in the area simply based on the friendly service. But I'd try something else off the menu.

Greens way too much vinegar.Mac and cheese compared to baked sawdust with cheese. And, chicken winglets/wing dings are NOT chicken wings, they are finger foods and party snacks.Horrible food, I thru the entire platter in the trash, after I wiped the water from the eyes caused by the greens (too much vinegar cooked in the greens, made my eyes water)

It was good.. period. My taste buds are so picky & it’s frustrating. So with mixed reviews I wasn’t sure if I was going to be wasting my money or not. I took a chance and was very satisfied. The first time I got fish, Mac & yams. Today I got crab balls (2) with Mac & yams. The Mac was real Mac not like the Kraft mess & the yams gave me diabetes which means they were awesome ? I only did one less star because the crab had a few shells in it but not life threatening ? Keep pushing! Your hard work is paying off & it shows ♥️
I hate to give bad reviews but I was very disappointed in Serena’s today. I ordered the honey bbq salmon with yams, and mac & cheese. The yams were good, the mac was ok, but the salmon was terrible. They chopped the salmon up in a overbearing bbq sauce and just from the appearance alone I was very disappointed. I should have went with my gut and ordered the whiting or regular chicken wings. I do not suggest anyone ever get the honey bbq salmon. Honestly the yams ? saved this platter ? — plus they need a better system to keep up with the orders. I would say like a numbering system, because if more than one person places the same order then no one knows who’s order is up. If the orders were numbered the worker could call out that particular number to make sure everyone gets their correct food.

One of the best restaurants in town very pleasant Serena's food is fresh made to order (so be mindful she even offers online ordering) I come here often and the service is unmatched still very consistent with when they had the food truck I must say you can't go wrong with anything on the menu

First two times I went to Serena’s, I knew the fish was going to be good and had No worries at all. This time around was different. The fish didn’t taste the same. The fish had a taste of bad oil, the Seafood salad made the person I recommended to vomit multiple times. I hope this was a miss because I love Serena’s.

Has never disappointed. Great service....I mean sweet people...very calm. Service oriented staff. Food never disappoints!!! Normally get the fish or chicken. Always fried to perfection. Everything is always fresh. I love the sides. Never too sweet or too salty so you can actually enjoy the flavor of the food not just seasoned to death. Perfect for lunch or dinner any day of the week. You must try it! I highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Nice cafe style lunch room. Never very busy. Always clean.

I went to Serena's today for lunch and to honest I was highly disappointed in what I received. I ordered the honey bbq salmon with yams, and mac & cheese. The yams were delectable, the mac was regular, and the salmon was awful.
