Great food, great city location for parking garage, excellent waitstaff, no delays. They asked what brought us out on a rainy night, I told them we were seeing a show at the playhouse, as it was a birthday gift for my wife. When we ordered dessert, the waitress brought out a sparkler candle and told us the dessert was on the house! We will be back many times!

Overall just meh. Pros are short rib egg roll and chopped salad. Pacing was quick for food out of kitchen. Cons: manager was unfriendly, at this price range table clothes and a better atmosphere and ambiance are a given. Our server Erin was a joy!

The ambience was great. 10/10 Our waiter was fantastic. 10/10 The food was pretty good. 8/10 I had the Lobster with mashed potatoes, asparagus and garlic butter. However, I'm not sure if the prices match the food quality. A little over priced.

I came in for a meal and tried the scallops, The sauce they put on them was very good. The scallops themselves were cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Highly recommend that dish if you like seafood.

FOODNot the best bone on ribeye that I've ever had, but one of the best. The compound butter added that extra flavor. My wife had the filet which was fork tender! Perfect. Baked potato done nicely and the sautéed spinach was seasoned perfectly. The Jalapeno Popper Deviled Eggs were missing the spice I was expecting, but tasty overall. The chopped wedge was excellent as well. Nice interpretation of the wedge salad and the lettuce was as fresh as any other had in the past.We tried the homemade butter pecan ice cream. Super creamy. Hit the spot.Nice beer and wine selection... though my wife favored the Stateside Mule which was one of the best she's had.SERVICEErin was great. Upbeat, friendly, efficient and always smiling! Our dinner was truly enhanced because of her service. Looking around, the other servers we're present, but she truly enjoyed what she was doing. Thank you again Erin! There were a couple of food handlers as well which were very pleasant. Dropping off party room meal and telling you to enjoy and removing plates without being intrusive is always a plus.ATMOSPHEREThis sounds like an HGTV plug, but Tonic has nice curb appeal. Nestled between a bunch of high rises and office buildings, it stood out as a higher end Steakhouse. Actual gas lanterns out front, outdoor seating which we look forward to when the weather breaks, and it was complimented, by Hotel DuPont right down the road.Inside there were array of seats including the bar, high tops, open seating and semi booths. We were fairly close to a table behind us, but did not feel closed in. Modern appearing without being too modern if that makes sense.Dietary restrictions: GF friendly

Food was good. Had oyster app. Wife had the bread/dipping cheese (forget the name). Both were good. Vodka Martini w/ Blue Cheese olives were very well made & olives were delicious. I had 45 day aged KC Steak & wife had Lobster tail. Both delicious. Goat cheese dessert also good. Very pleased with dinner.

Came in for a work lunch with a couple people. Quick service. Friendly staff. Recommend the filet tip cheese steak but swap out that aioli with cheddar.

All told, this was a very nice experience. We were seated immediately and had attentive waiter. They make wide variety of drinks ? which we all enjoyed. The food was good and properly proportions. First time here and would like to return....plus parking garage was right across the street.

So first off, anything about my experience has nothing to do with service. The waitress was excellent. Sadly the food, not so much. I thought instead of Tonic this place should be called "Salt." EVERYTHING Over salted, French Onion soup over salted, my Caesar salad over salted, the wife ordered sautéed spinach should have been called , Salt-Tayed spinach. My medium Rare steak was rare. Did we eat everything? Yes, due to traveling we were famished. Once I cut the steak and saw rare I was not going to return to cook to dryness. I am not a return person as I would have been embarrassed returning everything accept the mashed potatoes. So Tonic knows the chef, I visited on Friday 2-2-24. Sorry, I visit steak houses in every city I go to. Alexandria (Oak) Charleston (Halls) Philadelphia (del Friscos) Edinburgh (Kyloe) London (steak and Company) so I am not a first-time steak house person. I am not going to crush the rating by giving it a 1 as reading reviews I seem to be the exception (Sadly) and not the norm unless the norm loves over salting. I am from New Jersey not California

Very nice establishment! Great service. Food was delicious. Restaurant was decorated very nicely. Perfect place when seeing a show near by at the Playhouse on Rodney Square in the DuPont Hotel.

Overall experience was great! Our waitress (Paige) was excellent! I loved the simple, warm and romantic atmosphere. The food was very good. We had the muscles ( which were the best we've had in a long time) the short rib eggrolls for appetizers then my husband had braised bison short ribs which were excellent! I had the half chicken which was good but slightly dry and I'm more a white meat chicken person so I'd have rather had only a breast. The asparagus and risotto were delicious
