When i eat here i forget about life and all my worries..! I start to dance and i just cant stop eating here! The food taste like my grandmas homemade food that i love. I dance to my burps and put my hands in the air and do not care. I have the great feelings and i feel like im taking a great big poop. I am just tryong to say that you should eat here because its amazing and love it! Everything is great... If you like trying new things...This is for you!!!! Love you bye
Harvey Lo's has become the Geektropolis Café, a Board Game and Comic Book café where you can choose from over 1100 boa4d games and read new comics every Wednesday.
My friends and family have been coming here for Harvey's excellent food for over 25 years. Harvey and Sue treat us like family. We come for dinner and we have celebrations here as well. Our favorite menu is to start with spring rolls and shrimp dumplings, then hot and spicy soup followed by dinner: Beef or Chicken Fried Rice, a skittle platter with fried shrimp, lemon and almonds; Beef in a bird's nest, Szechwan chicken with vegetables, Sweet & Sour Shrimp or Chicken, and more. Have to get at least one bird's nest and one skillet platter.
If you're not afraid to try something different, and you're tired of typical Westernized Chinese food; this place is for you! Some of this dishes are quite spicy, so keep that in mind. The hot and sour soup is one of my favourites. The Szechwan beef and curry chicken are also quite good. It has been here for a long time, over thirty years. This is a place for people who like to try different kinds of food, especially spicy food!
Will miss this place

Better since it opened, but still over priced for what it is. $12 for a bowl of noodles. I get it, the broth, but you make a massive amount of broth at a time... staff is wonderful! Hope the over priced menu benefits them, but I know that it doesn't. Green Dots is amazing! Went way wrong with Johnny noodle and the Huron Room. I won't even go into how much of a rip off that place is...
The moment you walk in the door the wonderful smell hits you. The whole place smells amazing! Johnny's is very cozy so the wait is long but worth it. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are huge. The staff are very efficient and kind. Best noodle joint in town, hands down.
No one is more surprised than me to give a strip mall restaurant FIVE stars. I love this place! Every dish has been delicious, Asian, Italian, Mac-n-Cheese! I swear my favorite is the cucumber tomato salad, super tasty light dressing. I wish there were more places around that are quick and easy so fresh & delicious. Great for families or by yourself.
I love this place! The food is great and the service is very good. I've tried nearly every ramen bowl on the main menu and a few weekly specials. I rated 4 stars because of a minor seating issue. Please be conscious of guests sitting at the window table by the door. People waiting to be seated tend to hover in this area, which makes it hard to feel comfortable if you're sitting here. Please make sure people aren't bumping into a guest seated/throwing their stuff on the table if a guest is eating there. It's very rude. Other than that, I really like coming here and will continue to visit regularly.
Foods great. Really good service. Happy hour specials are good deals. All around great experience.

I really enjoy the Hot Spicy noodles. Both the noodles and broth are delicious and the price is very affordable.
Authentic and delicious spicy noodles. Tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed.
The noodles were fresh n hot. I loved the spicy noodle dish. Its not for the faints of heart. Pretty spicy!
Food was average, and quality of the service really needs to be improved ASAP.
Super authentic Chongqing style noodles. Be warned they do not mess around with spice at this place!

Amazing food, great service, and availability most of the time. Also the prices are so affordable. Make sure you try the tempura ice cream!!
Awesome sauce. LITERALLY. On a recent visit with local friends, I ordered the tonsure curry, which featured a really captivating sauce with a deep, rich flavor with hints of a rich spice palate centered around the pepper. The focus of the dish, the pork, tasted good as well, but it was really the sauce that shone. Summary Shangri-La can sauce me any time it wants.
Loved the place! The atmosphere and the food!
Dim sum is top notch. I never knew there was another one in West Bloomfield/Farmington way. Bubble tea available too. Sushi is good. A contender for best in city. Triple spice roll = spicy tuna, wasabi tobiko, jalapeno, and for of siracha on top. Amazing.
Fantastic food!! I can't wait to go back and try more of everything!! Though this place may not be right up the street, it is certainly worth the journey! Be sure to put Shangri-La on your short-list of restaurants to try!
