“I stopped in to try the Woodward and the Farnsworth Funghi. I was able to split the pizza and do just that! The cashier was great! This pizza is delicious!!! I stopped in at lunchtime, so it was a 45 minute wait- and totally worth it!! It's a casual spot with many options & many customers. There's a small lot and street parking.”
“Best Italian food I’ve had in a while! Serving is great and super friendly. Food kept topping one over the other. Make sure to have space for their delicious dessert. Food is Cooked to perfection , 100% recommend to make a reservation as they are super packed.”
“We had an excellent dinner here while in town for work. The service was very good. Our server, Mark, took great care of us. Drinks and the meal were delicious. The gnocchi was my favorite, but every dish was cooked and presented well. The 4 stars for atmosphere was simply because the music was too loud. It was very difficult to converse without yelling.”
“Cannot recommend this place enough! We ended up here on a Saturday night for dinner without a reservation and ended up being seated right away and our server was absolutely wonderful. Our food ended up being the best dinner we've had in SO long! Phenomenal dinner experience!”

“There was a bit of a wait, but it went fast. The food was great & the service was excellent.Dietary restrictions: They have vegan cheese options & crust. As well as cauliflower crust.”
“We had an amazing dinner. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great.I had the Truffle Butter Pasta and added the Italian sausage, and my wife ordered the Pesto Pasta and added the shrimp. Both our meals were excellent, but to me the the Truffle Butter Pasta with Italian sausage won by a narrow margin. The sauce had a creamy buttery base with plenty of flavor from the truffles without being too rich, and the sausage was seasoned perfectly with a good Italian spice flavor.Erica was our server, and she was pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. She also made some good recommendations when we asked her what some of her favorites were. We both ordered from here recommendations.I would highly recommend Ottava Via, and we will likely be back with some friends.”
“I had the full slab of ribs with greens and Mac and cheese - they give you garlic knots so I prob didn’t need to order corn bread- but it as delicious - everything was perfect and worth every penny!! I also have enough left for dinner- the service was wonderful, warm, and attentive- It was a 5 star experience!!!! Thank you!!!”

“Been coming here since I was born (50+ years ago). In fact my family has been coming here since before I was born. The best chips and salsa of anywhere. Beef and cheese enchiladas are outta sight. If only I could eat some right now! Simple put: one of my favorite places in the world.”
“Absolutely my favorite place to bring anyone I am hoping to impress. Cocktails are amazing and adventurous. The scent pairings elevate the whole experience. The staff and owners are the best. 10/10”

“First time visit. I enjoyed my meal, totally new food experience. Never had eggplant in any form, and this first time taste sold me on trying again. Service was quick and courteous. The place was clean, fresh smelling, not to crowed when we arrived. Will go again.”

“My first time experiencing this restaurant. Exceeded my expectations. Good was very tasty. I had the chicken bacon ranch wrap with sweet potato chips. Everything was packaged well and good customer service.”
“The absolute best pizza place in michigan — easy to say when the service & the quality of the food is top notch!!! I can’t say more than enough good things about the service here & if you want incredible pizza, go here!! Eat it fresh! The Detroit style pizza is a game changer.”
“As we drove into the small parking lot beside Edulis Grill and opened the car doors, we were immediately greeted with the delicious smell of charred vegetables and meat. At this point, we were having a pretty late lunch and we could tell we were in for a treat. We walked in and found it to be relatively empty, with a total of 7 booths but only one occupied. After we sat down, Ali, the do-it-all man of the restaurant, told us that the menu was going to change soon and they were going to remove the baba ganoush and tabbouli along with some other adjustments. Originally we wanted to try the Bagila Bil Hihin, but they didn't have the fava beans ready since it was well past breakfast time. Instead we went with the other recommended breakfast item along with another Iraqi unique dish. As we were waiting for our food, we got some soup to start off Lentil Soup (Complimentary) - This was a nice warming soup with soft stewed lentils, spiced with a lot of cumin and served with two large wedges of lemon for you to squeeze in as wanted. Mahklama ($16.99) - This dish consisted of scrambled eggs mixed with kabob meat, parsley, tomato and onion. The flavor mainly consisted of cumin and turmeric. The texture was pretty soft and tender throughout. We found that it was perhaps a bit undersalted but still tasted good overall. Iraqi Shish Kabob ($21.99) - This included four skewers of pretty simple ground beef mixed with salt and other seasonings, then grilled to perfection and sprinkled with sumac. The exterior had a very nice crust that added texture and the interior was some of the most tender kabob we have ever eaten. The meat here was honestly absolutely amazing - better than any grilled kafta I've had at most Lebanese restaurants around the area. The taste was fantastic, a perfect mix of char, mellow beef, onion, and spices. They don't add parsley or mint, so there were no herbal notes. The kabob was served with onion and tomato that were perfectly charred on the grill. The onion had cooked enough from the heat that it only had a small raw bite, and the tomato was pretty softened from the heat. There were also some mini sliced cucumber, pickles, and a big bowl of rice pilaf (choice of rice or fries) to complete the meal. Each person also gets a samoon and an entire piece of Iraqi pita/Arabic bread/khubz to eat their main with. I think they buy these in the morning from a local bakery because they are served cold. If there was one improvement, it would be to warm up the bread a bit. At the end of the meal, they serve you a complimentary cup of a very nice black chai, filled with the fragrance and flavor of various spices (cardamom and cinnamon perhaps?). It's served unsweetened, but there is a container of sugar on the table to adjust to preference. By the time we left, the restaurant had completely filled up and the employees were pretty overwhelmed at that point trying to clear tables, bring out food, cash people out, and take phone orders. Only Ali was working the front and there were only two people cooking in the kitchen. Just be aware that this is a family establishment, so things might take longer than usual when the restaurant start filling up. Side Note: Edulis Grill serves each customer a bottle of water at no charge. Most other mom and pop Middle Eastern restaurants in the area charge for water. Overall Edulis Grill has some really great Iraqi food. I highly recommend the shish kabob. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed!”

“Stop by there today for the first time. After just stumbling upon this place by driving around Eastern market. my staple is usually Greek town. I love Golden Fleece. However, this place is legitimate. both the traditional and the American gyros are amazing. White sauce is crazy Good French fries. Seem to be hand cut. honestly, one of the better gyros if not the best i've had in metro detroit worth checking out. I love the fact that it's a takeout only spot with a couple benches, but if they keep on producing this type of quality food, they're gonna need to expand top notch”
“I came in for a sandwich and aChai Latte, they both were amazing. The atmosphere is charming and welcoming. It's the place were everybody knows your name. Located on Dexter it is a pleasant surprise to a growing city.”

“Our dinner was exceptional. From the second we sat down, I knew we were in capable hands. Our server, Melissa, was able to suggest dishes based on our preferences. Delicious. Fresh. Full of flavor and lovely presentation.”
“Absolutely The best staff an subs... as well as their multiple pasta, macaroni, potato, antipasto salads. Everything from the meats... cheeses.. breads are always fresh... they offer differentt sized meat an cheese layered sus. ?”

“Server Chad was great. They need a broiler so they can do blue cheese over their steaks. Steaks quite overpriced. Wine list and liquor selection were exceptional. Very cool vibe, it’s like you’re in an underground wine library. Multiple mistakes with our orders but we were comped and the experience overall was great enough for me to go back and give them another try.”

The staff is really friendly.”

“What an amazing experience. Came here for a birthday dinner and was blown away.Atmosphere: A little loud but very private and tables were not too close to one another.Food: Absolutely amazing. I ordered the chef special. The Kabocha was hands down the best bite of the day. From texture to flavor to spice, nothing can compare to it. Only minor complaint was that the steak was smothered with chimichurri but again, minor negative.Parking: Street parking which was a little shady but car was still there when we left.Price: Nothing is cheap these days. More than I would like to spend but for a special occasion, it was worth it.Service: Best part of the whole experience. Everyone was very attentive and knowledgeable with details about the menu.Overall, 5 ⭐”
“My wife and I enjoyed our 2nd date in awhile here! The experience was exceptional. Every single staff member greeted us and welcomed us on our walk to our table. Salah and Drew took care of our food, wine and water and they made it a special experience for us. It’s a very positive atmosphere with amazing views of Detroit, Window and the rivers. You can truly see the whole city and beyond. Parking is easy, and they validate it for you. Not only do we recommend going here, but we will definitely be back again ourselves someday. The food is unique and fantastic! Probably more than I expected, the portions were appropriate and by the end of the 3 courses, I felt like I had eaten well, but not too much. Sometimes fine dining leaves you hungry, but not here. You will leave happy and feeling like you are some great food that was prepared with a lot of care. Thank you Highlands team for a great experience and all the effort you put in to make this an iconic Detroit experience!”
“Great place with good selection of cocktails and beers, food is good so is the ambiance. Service is the best, especially Harry that made our experience at Grey Ghost amazing.”
“Just an enchanting place to celebrate any special occasion. It’s pricey but worth the experience. And you need to check out the ghost bar and peep in as many rooms as you can. Classic and chilling!”
“A very unique dining experience from start to finish! The cocktails are imaginative, the food is delicious and the space is super cool. I will definitely be back for more!”
“I must say another awesome experience with Omar and Amanda. Very knowledgeable on drinks recommendation & outstanding service. ZuZu should be pleased with these two who provides top-notch service!”
“This is an extraordinary place to try a 5 course menu. I was very full qt the end but it was worth it.The place also looks fancy with a city twist and I love itThe bone marrow dish was a little too fatty for my taste, but the duck was my favorite”
“Having only been to this establishment twice it's a bit of a toss up.Awesome ambiance, great drinks, but so-so on the customer service front. My party was roughly nine minutes late for our reservation and upon entering the hostess had noted she was about to give us a courtesy call (which I thought was cool but perhaps a bit overkill as I had just confirmed via text that we'd be there for our reservation). Not even ten seconds after that we were informed by the same hostess there was a "15 topper" coming in after us which in turn made me feel like we needed to get our drinks and move along with haste. I don't expect a warm embrace at a bar, but having an experience as opposed to be moved like cattle is a welcome feeling.Lastly, in a weird turn of events our server was a mixed bag as our waters stayed consistently full we never received our popcorn.”
“Love this place !!!! Every time I go down there I grab a chicken sandwich that they have there and it's the best thing I've ever had in my whole life!!”
“My experience at Marrow was absolutely incredible. The food was amazing! Our server , Arie was the absolute best! She made honest recommendations when we had questions. She was efficient and friendly. She made the experience even better! Don’t miss out on this restaurant. It is the best in Detroit dining.”
“Food was delicious, pasta divine and fish was exquisite. My waitress took the best care of me and my wife. The atmosphere was extremely comforting and I had a lovely meal and time. My only request would be to add a salad to the menu. Thank you.”
“Ah, the muffaletta sandwich at Rocco's - more than a sandwich, it's a transcendental experience! The staff at Rocco's were like sandwich whisperers, guiding me through a culinary journey that left me questioning my existence. Were they kind and friendly, or was it just the magic of the muffaletta working its spell on me?This sandwich was so good, it was like a love story between me and my taste buds. Trying to recreate it would be like trying to capture lightning in a bottle - a noble pursuit doomed to delicious failure. One bite of that muffaletta, and suddenly I was pondering life's deepest questions. Who am I? Where am I? The only thing that mattered was that I had finally discovered the true meaning of sandwich enlightenment at Rocco's.And let's not forget the magic power of their house-made garlic aioli sauce. This sauce was not just a condiment; it was a life-altering elixir that elevated the muffaletta to legendary status. The moment I dipped my sandwich into that creamy goodness, I knew I was in the presence of something divine. It was as if the mayo god had blessed Rocco's with this rich, firm, and irresistibly sexy sauce that made every bite a transcendent experience. This aioli was more than just a topping - it was the final touch that made the sandwich a masterpiece beyond compare.”
“I mad I didn't even take no pictures of the food, it was delicious the best bar food I've had in a long time. The tower was nice and strong definitely helped with Antarctica outside. The waitress was perfect, thank ”
“Great vibe near Eastern Market. Bottles and cans from around the world, haus biers, guest taps, and a solid soundtrack. Family style seating, so prepare to make new friends at busy times. The gluhwein at holiday time is sweet and comforting. Wood definitely recommend to friends.”

“Hollywood casino/hotel offers the best downtown Detroit experience. The hotel is in a safe and convenient location near outdoor events, restaurants and a few shopping outlets. Hollywood casino/hotel rooms are modern, sanitized and comfortable and the staff is very professional.”
“We had a gift card from the Detroit Redwings that we had to use, and we are so glad that they threw in the gift card. I had the 10 oz steak and it was incredible but the dessert was my favorite. We ordered something called The Game and it was incredible. I highly recommended this place.”

“Not a bad little coney. I stopped in for breakfast to-go: eggs, hash browns, and sausage, and it was good. To be honest, it's not the best I've ever had, but for the price, it's amazing. Staff I encountered was friendly and polite. Will definitely be eating here on the regular.”
“Came for the tacos, stayed for the sick beats. Taco Tuesday is like church for me and my boys. No cap at all. My equilibrium goes haywire anytime I take a week off. Everything I'm telling you is real af. Theres no judgement once you enter the alley deck. All are welcome to boogie down til the DJ cuts the beat. The bartenders are always sweethearts and the dude that cooks the tacos deserves a Michelin award. Top tier if you ask me and my crew. The salsa always slaps and the shrimp tacos make me feel like I'm on a Florida beach kicking back with a cold corona and a sweet babe beside me, she's also enjoying a shrimp taco. I could go all day about how magical this place is, but I'm at the Secretary of State right now and they are about to call my number next. DM me for more info, phones always on. Later dudes!”
“Just got an inexpensive breakfast this morning. It was great! Good portion, very well cooked and was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The price was great too. They are priced less than most places with a less quality product. Great Experience.”
“It's a food court, not a restaurant. I had the national Coney Island Coney dog with fries. It was pretty good. Every time I want to get wings that place is closed.”
“One of the best Coneys in the west. I always recommend my friends and family here. The staff is pretty cool, but you'll come back for the chili cheese fries, which are my favorite.”
“Ordered the 16 piece wing-dings over the phone and when I got there about 10 minutes later they were already ready and waiting for me check how process was easy and smooth. Food was hot and delicious. My husband and I used to go there all the time when we were kids and get food and he still recommends it to this day.”
“One of the best Coney's. Clean. Always open. Fast. GREAT AFFORDABLE SPECIALS daily. Last place in the city with a good breakfast special and $4.99 is a 2002 price so I appreciate that a lot ?? Downside, you gotta pay for your order over the phone to be able to call it in. And they don't allow you to tip the servers and women that take your order if you pay with credit card. Unfair to those working not to set it up to accept and pay those tips, don't be that cheap Joseph's! But food and service always reliable and solid”
“Nice location centrally located sometimes friendly staff the lobby area needs a air freshener or something. They don't clean it up like they should, and like most restaurants, I think that they use the same mop that they use to wipe up the grease in the back area because the floor is literally slippery sometimes.”
“A friend of mines order from there & I must say I give them their props for all the time serving the food fresh just like it suppose to be.. Thank you for the wonderful work y'all put in to take care of your customers, Keep up the good work!”
“Vegetarian options: Was able to order a vegetarian / vegan pizza with several toppings having a meat free optionDietary restrictions: I loved all of the vegan options for pizza and dessert!”

“Cinnabon was so delicious, they warmed it up for me and it's one of the best I ever had. Good latte, good coffee. Ample seating. Staff was incredibly kind gave excellent service. They have all the milk options- Will be returning soon.”

“Reeeeally good food. I really needed a pick-me-up and I found what I was looking for. A lot of menu options to choose from. Highly recommend the mixed fruit drink! 1000% will be returning. Also a cute park is out in front if you just want to enjoy the day with some ice cream.Parking: There's a good section of parking behind the building if the street parking is full”
“The corned beef hash is wonderful!!! The service was excellent!!! Ken was attentive, but not overly. He was very intuitive that we were a little uncomfortable with the cramped close environment. He assured us that he would take good care of us, and that he did. The Dime Store is a MUST try when in downtown Detroit. The Dime Store Restaurant validates parking up to 2 hours in the Financial District Garage. You can exit the garage and take elevators to the 1st flr, and you're right at the restaurant. Be careful though, We were parked there for 2 hours and 7 minutes and the app charged us for the entire 2 hours and 7 minutes. I'm going to contact the garage Monday morning. The restaurant hostess informed us that the garage only charge for the time over 2 hours. The app does not work that well. You are required to scan the QR code and put in information, including your credit card. I wish I had skipped that part.”
“the kid that works in the cashier is the nicest boy I ever met he was a humble kind and the food was amazing I recommend this place to y'all.Thank you for the nice experience.”
“The best Parisian baked goods are here! A feast for the eyes and taste buds. I think the chocolate raspberry croissant is even better than in Paris...refused to choose just one pastry!”
“Clean nice modern restaraunt. The Halabi Kofta is extremely good, I even got some to go afterwards because it’s so good. Great restaurant, try the chicken shawarma and Halabi Kofta here its worth it. Menu is 100% halal also.Dietary restrictions: The food is all Halal here”
“Jordan was our bartender last night and he was amazing! Being short staffed and very busy, he still took excellent care of us and the drinks were delightful. Thank you!”
“My father, Eddie Mesrey (born in Detroit | 1932–1980), grew up in the house that was once attached to Zell’s. He and his brother, George Mesrey (1930–1978), helped their uncle Michael Mesrey (born in Damascus, Syria | 1899–1993) run the little market that previously occupied this space (circa 1930s – 1960s).Back in the day it was known as Little Mike’s Market. Here’s my great-Uncle Mike and an unidentified E&B spokesmodel inside the market at Charlevoix and Seyburn, circa 1960.”
“duly's is a nice restaurant if you're a chilli dog fan !! they have the best chilli dogs in Southwest if you ask me. Older people work here so the service is around medium but they don't take very long and their manners make up for it. not enough sitting space though, so I wouldn't invite a whole family or whatnot, dulys is small on the inside as well. but overall it is a fantastic place to eatParking: I'll say there's 10 parking spots in the lot across from dulys, there should be a taco truck in it as well, that's where me and my family usually park at when eating at dulys, you would just have to cross the street of course. and if you're lucky usually around the morning time dulys street parking isn't that bad so you can park closer !!Kid-friendliness: they're really nice with kids, I've seen a lot of youth dine in at dulys, and the employees love kids !!.Wheelchair accessibility: for dulys it's already on a flat area no stairs no catch, so if you're in a wheelchair or whatnot don't worry you can roll right in here with no problem”
“I stopped in there for a lunch on a Friday for the first time. This café is so warmly decorated, charming, and welcoming. What a wonderful, sweet staff. My egg salad sandwich and fries came out in about 5 to 7 minutes and was absolutely delicious. The fries seem to be made of great quality yellow potatoes. I am definitely coming back here again and bringing my parents when they are in town!”
“Milwaukee Caffe makes me feel like I'm visiting a European, standing-only, grab-and-go coffee shop if traditional espresso-loving European coffee shops were hip and queer in the absolute best way. I come here to romanticize my life and walk away caffeinated enough to do some damage.”
“Amazing place. They have a variety of baby like six different restaurants in the shipping containers you can pick from and they usually have an organized where you put your phone number in or get a beeper or you can go to the next place and get a beer or coffee or go into the other room or go in the back where the volleyball nets are it's a really cute place they have art all upstairs. My favorite is Bancok 96. !!!!”
“Great place with good selection of cocktails and beers, food is good so is the ambiance. Service is the best, especially Harry that made our experience at Grey Ghost amazing.”

“The person who made my sub was very nice and we exchanged small talk.Very helpful and seemed like they enjoyed the customers.Very Friendly and helpful. Will be back !”
“The food was so good my first time trying chicken is bomb the young lady who took the order was kinda rushing and you could barely get out what you want because she rushes you so the service to me wasn't great but the chicken is sooo good i will be back for the food but i hope the service is a little better.”
“11:30 a.m. on a Tuesday and the parking lot (front & side, at least) are full but the overflow has space. All the look of a 50's style diner, right down to the music which was loud enough to hear but quiet enough to talk (i.e., perfect volume). OK, the ladies aren't wearing poodle skirts but they were a bit sexist. The server greeted me quickly but seemed a bit overwhelmed as she was the only one working the floor at the time. Understandable considering the number of diners to deal with at the time. She was pleasant despite the workload and checked in several times after my meal arrived. All the accouterments one expects at a diner right down to the creamer and jam.Menu is pretty broad, especially where sandwiches are concerned. Fish sandwiches, gyros, burgers, hot dogs (Coney, plain, etc.), melts. A fairly substantial breakfast section and salads & soups round it out well.I went with the Classic burger & fries. The burger is huge & the amount of fries is substantial. I ordered the burger medium but it came medium-well. It wasn't juicy like it should've been but was flavorful still.Next time I'll sit at the counter (missed that on the way in). There's a drive-thru in case you want to "grab and go", too.An FYI: if you pay by plastic, you will pay the credit card charge. I don't mind, but I was unaware.I'd definitely return.Parking: Parking near building is tight, about 12 spaces, but there is overflow.Kid-friendliness: It's a diner, it's friendly to the wee onesWheelchair accessibility: The doors are sensor activated & wide. There's ample room for maneuvering inside, too. Sidewalk around seems a bit narrow (but I'm not in a chair)”
“We drove past another BK to come to this one, because of the reviews of friendly service and quality food. We weren't disappointed! Even though we had issues with our gift card, the woman behind the register was patient, and helpful. Food was good, hashrounds and coffee were hot, sandwiches were well put together. Only lost a star because the doctor Pepper button was broken on the self-serve soda machine and my sandwich was luke-warm (still tasty, just not hot).”
“They are available on ubereats and door dash for delivery...All else checks out good and CHILI CHZ FRIES ARE THE BEST EVER..friendly service ?Kid-friendliness: This isn't a good place to dine in if you have kids...super small..only 3 tables.. I think intended for waiting on food or pick up...no high chairs available either but still my fav coney in the D”
“Local Burger King located in the Southwest Detroit community also known as Mexican town with all of the standard Burger King fare the food is usually fresh and fast.and they have new menu items. AND they brought back cheesy tots..”
“Very clean in here. Customer service was on point. The food was hot. The wait was not long. I purchased the chicken fajita sub. It was mouth watering. I totally recommend this location. The Harper Location.”
“Alumni returning after 5 years.Definitely you will feel like what an awesome place it has been .. and it is now .. with lot of developments and on going developments..If you are an Alumni who have not visited Wayne State after you left college , I definitely recommend go and visit. You will feel how awesome college is like..Even if you didn’t had enough fun..”
“Love the food, everything stays on point, and very nice friendly staff. Call in, Drive up, or dine in my food is always hot a fresh ready waiting for me. There are no long waits and a very convenient location.Albano's gets me tight and tight every time. Much love to the respected staff there.”
“One of my fave places to go to get breakfast. They have amazing super affordable food. It’s in a great location. Parking is always available. Workers are great. I will always come back.”
“Great spot for fast good food. Everything they have is great breakfast, lunch and dinner. Coneys, burgers, Chilli fries, omelettes and salads are all good. I especially love the breakfast ”
“Me and my husband visit Detroit's Finest every Sunday morning to have breakfast and I enjoy it evey time. Service is great and quick & the food is delicious.”
“Onions make me ill; when ordering "no onions please", scraping almost all of them off is not good service... Also, no salt or packets for the fries. It's still White Castle, so still pretty good.”

Hawilo Grill
“Clean nice modern restaraunt. The Halabi Kofta is extremely good, I even got some to go afterwards because it’s so good. Great restaurant, try the chicken shawarma and Halabi Kofta here its worth it. Menu is 100% halal also.Dietary restrictions: The food is all Halal here”
“Milwaukee Caffe makes me feel like I'm visiting a European, standing-only, grab-and-go coffee shop if traditional espresso-loving European coffee shops were hip and queer in the absolute best way. I come here to romanticize my life and walk away caffeinated enough to do some damage.”

Mink Detroit
“Outstanding food, great service, extremely cozy (maybe 2 dozen seats?). Started with a variety of oysters (the housemade kimchi was excellent), followed by tinned tuna belly with their housemade briny jardiniere, ending with maybe the best lobster roll I've ever had (no mayo, some chili oil heat) and perfectly prepared broccolini. The broccolini was actually on the tasting menu but they were generous enough to make it as a standalone side for us because we wanted to experience enough other things. Can't say enough good things about our dinner. Cocktails and dessert were really good too, though the dinner was on a level above.”
Fine Dining
“The crowd is nice on Thursday- Sundays , security plenty of parking and nice birthday party events. The drinks are reasonable and the waitresses be on their job. Like a cheers atmosphere you wanna go where everyone knows your name. Ms Krystal is sweet and loving and people be dressed to impress there. TV's seating 💺 ♥️ people call it a "hole in the wall" but those same people be in attendance "lol They come from all over the city to this place you must get there early on Sunday nights cause DJ Tony Rome be on hot blazing 🔥 fire. Dance, entertainment etc. Everytime my out of town guest / sweetheart comes to visit Detroit she has to come there before she leaves its a must.”
“I don’t think there are many places in America that can do steaks this consistently perfect. The attention to detail in the food, the attentiveness of the wait staff, and the all around atmosphere here is always the best. While not a “regular” diner I usually end up eating here a few times a year and my expectations are not only met, but exceeded every time. I always look forward to coming here to enjoy amazing food and a nice night out. There is nothing in the menu here that is not absolutely deliciousDietary restrictions: Before taking orders the waiters and waitresses will always ask if anyone has a food allergy preemptively to take all party members into consideration that may have allergies”
“Joe Muer never disappoints! I must say that Calvin, our server, made it extra special last night. It was my son's 12th birthday and Joe Muer is his favorite restaurant, and Calvin went out of his way to make it so special for him. He ensured our meals did not have alcohol or meats we didn't eat. His awareness of our religious restrictions were much appreciated. He was tentative but did not hover; he and the team put together a beautiful dessert platter with candles to top our magnificent evening. He was delightful and kind. Thank you for a memorable evening.”
“Parking: Both the valet and the self parking are a good ways from the restaurants. Save your money and self park. After dinner you’ll need to walk off the full tummy anyway.”
“Alpino is a very good restaurant. The chef doesn't overwhelm you with choices, but I recommend checking the menu before you go since there may not be something for you.If you haven't had the Swiss/Alpine style food before, I recommend you explore the menu, and I'm confident you won't be disappointed. It is very reasonably priced and the staff was very, very friendly and super helpful with the menu.”
Cheap Eats
“This place is a gem. Family owned establishment. Detroit's oldest bar. Always a good time. Stop by and learn the incredible history of the place and of the neighborhood or maybe run into friends. Check it out on a Wednesday when Mary is cooking up something delicious. Check your wallet, do a head count and RING THE BELL”
“Never missed a St. Patty's Day Celebration yet. Going on 20 years. On the Historic Registry. Live music on the weekends. Friendly people all around. Every now and then, you'll see the original owner Nancy having a drink with old friends. Great history, great city and sports.Parking: Now owned by Steven's Family and doing a great job.”
“This is an odd and difficult review. You can't leave half stars on Google, otherwise this would be 4.5. Don't want to leave 4, 5 it is.The beer, excellent. The Winter Lager is better than the Boston brand version.Camping Beer is amazing. Was so good brought 4 home.Food we had was great. Had their version of a Smash Burger. The one thing I'd like additional would be pickle slices. One thing I NEED on a burger... MUSTARD! There was none available. That made it a 3 star meal LOL. Also, you have to serve yourself. Which is fine. For the great pricing on the burger and fries, I'll carry my food. And the fries...incredible to me.Bartenders. Friendly, helpful and thoughtful. I ordered a beer that came in a can. Bartender poured it in the glass and handed me the can because there was a splash left. I have never experienced that in 35 years of going to bars.Definitely a good stop and will be back.”
“This zany place never ceases to amaze me. From local Detroit lore to updated menus to food consistency, I always bring guests here. Ordering sliders, salads, and sides a la carte is genius! I loved the Cuban and fries chicken sliders as well as the routine and cucumbers with crema. The mixed drinks are top notch too.Parking: There is a free lot next to and behind the building as well as a side street with plenty of parking. I've never not seen it busy though.Kid-friendliness: The wait staff almost always brings my kid's food out first. Bless them! The grilled cheese is perfectly char, melty, cheesy, and salty. Yes, I had a bite, okay? ?”
“Best coffee shop in the downtown Detroit area and so happy that we’ve come across Cafe Sous! The baristas are so awesome and they all work together as a perfectly paired team. The atmosphere is laidback and chill. The cafe is very clean. Music was very relaxing and played at a sound level. I was able to work remotely from the cafe in peace, surrounded by other remote workers and/or students studying. The Vanilla Latte was impeccable and I can’t wait to return more frequently. Kudos!!”
“This establishment has a long history of making great split pea soup and ham sandwiches. It's truly a walk back in time.Mike remembered my father (he's 89) by name. It made his day!”
“What a damn fine meat counter at Gratiot Central Market just across from eastern market They're the home of the best bacon I've ever had, thick and cooked up extra crispy. Will be back soon”
“I drive 2-1/2 hours for these sandwiches, and it's worth every minute and every mile. The owner has had his franchise for almost 3 decades. He is loyal to the way a Blimpie's Best is supposed to taste!I worked for Blimpie's 31 years ago in Ohio and It had been almost 18 years since I had my last Blimpie's Best, then this summer my best friend and I discovered this gem.Great sandwiches, great ownership!I can't wait to come back!”
“I cannot believe it took me so long to discover this not-so-hidden jewel, which is only minutes away from my home. My husband and I ditched our normal Saturday brunch to drop in on Detroit Sip. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the products. Detroit Sip's vibe is like a warm, neighborly hug. The decor is whimsical and inviting. My caramel latte and cheese Danish were very goodMy husband also enjoyed his dark roast and muffin. We'll be back, in fact I tried to return the following Tuesday morning. Guess I should have paid attention to the hours listed.”
“I swung by Royal Oak farmer’s market Saturday morning and grabbed a couple pies. Just ate a slice. This was my first time eating sweet potato pie in my life and I can only liken it to a religious experience. Incredible. I think the bar has been set so high I will be disappointed by any other pie moving forward, however I don’t see this as a problem as long as I can get more of Uncle Calvin’s.”
“Was in the area so decided to stop by and so glad I did. They have lots of unique flavors that I throughly enjoyed. I loved my pear bagel and chai with carrot cake syrup. I ordered online and they waited to put ice in my drink until I was there so it wouldn't get watered down. If I was a living in Detroit, I could see myself becoming a regular.”
“The photos says it all. Perfection in a small local bar with great live music from a mix of bands. I want to play my next gig here and i hate playing live. Incredible.”
“I ordered the Chicken Tacos and quesadilla, and both were delicious. My friend got the burrito dinner. We agreed that it was one of the BEST Mexican restaurant meals I’ve had in a LONG time. I would definitely come back to this place.Parking: Free parking lot on site”
“Stopped by for my birthday antics, I have known this bar my whole life and always wanted to go inside..... IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!! FOR UNDER 10$ YOU CAN GET A BEER AND BURGER!!! GOD BLESS THESE FINE FOLKS!! Good drinks at a low cost an they are SUPER CHILL ?”
“What a pleasant surprise it was to find this place! We weren't planning and stopped by chance. The best hamburger and the BEST FRIES we’ve ever eaten! We are Brazilians, we were very well received. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. WE LOVE IT! Food, nice people, amazing decor, cool music and wonderful atmosphere! We already have a favorite place in Detroit! To all Nemo’s team, THANK YOU! We loved it!”
“Benny’s toro hand roll was FANTASTIC. And the Strawberry shortcake was a piece of heaven. Had to start the review with that lol. The fish is high quality, the rolls were really good. The only thing that was disappointing was the spicy edamame. It needed seasoning. But everything else was so good I can’t dock any stars. The ambience is really good. I liked the decor. Service was great.Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian selection and dedicated menu section”
“Delicious Jamaican food ? they give you free samples. Their Soursop juice is amazing. I wish they were open everyday. You will not be disappointed. Come on out and give them a try.”
“Great beer selection, cool ambiance, delicious Detroit style pizza. They also offer coffee, liquor, cider, seltzer and cocktails. Ample seating with outdoor area, music and TV. Friendly service. A gem in an up-and-coming neighbourhood.”

Thank you.”
“At 66 I don't go out much but my nephew was celebrating his birthday and picked Detroit Blues Cafe. The place was great, security in and out, nice music, mature crowd and great staff. Kudos for creating this Detroit gem. 3rd.”

Albena
“One of the greatest restaurants I’ve been to in my 36 years on this earth! I’ve been 4 times already since last summer finding this place. An exceptional dining experience, intimate, fun, beautiful plating and some of the best food I’ve ever eaten, and I am a picky eater…I clean my plate every time!Definitely an experience you deserve to treat yourself to!”
“I tried the "What's the Dill" Pickle and it was great! The toppings were fresh, the pickle was crunchy and salty but the flavor didn't overpower the filling. It sat lighter in my stomach than eating a deli sandwich which makes it a perfect lunch.”
“Great food, great drinks, great service, great people. Cannot say enough positive things about Batch. I bring my 2yo and 6mo old and everything is seamless. Love the atmosphere and the experience!”

“I mean, what is there left to add about this place? The pizza is freaking awesome. It doesn’t really matter what I’ve gone with; it’s all been outstanding.Definitely one of the top places that should come to your mind anytime you have a pizza craving in the area. They also have beef pepperoni as an option, which I find to be a nice touch.”

“It is a small but nice Dominican restaurant, clean, good service, good attention, good tasting food and the plate of food is enough to leave you satisfied.Come and meet him.”
“They have the best fish and chips here! It’s a hole in the wall cash only business but the food is always amazing. Came in on a Friday night during Lent so it was packed but didn’t have to wait long for a table. Had the half order fish and chips and subbed the fries for a baked potato. Service was great. Definitely recommend eating here.”

Cork & Gabel
“UPDATE: I have been here multiple times and the place NEVER FAILS to impress. Some, if not the best drinks in Detroit. They stock hard to find bourbons and will take you on a cocktail journey with customized drinks simply based on your tastes. The food is always wonderful. If there is EVER Arctic Char on the menu...order it! I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. One of my favorites of all time!Great place with awesome staff members and phenomenal drinks. Get the Cork & Gable old fashioned...$25 but so flipping good.Sept 22- Still one of the best, if not THEE best craft cocktail places in the city. John is an F'ing wizard with spirits and one of the main reasons we come. Food is absolutely fantastic as well.”
“The food is absolutely delicious I haven't had anything yet I didnt like. The service is exceptional I really appreciate that because it's hard to find great service in the city. Amazing ”

“Had my first smoothie today. Pineapple with apple, lime and ginger. Delicious!! So fresh with all real ingredients and no added sugar. It was perfect. Thank you so much!”
“Nice welcome as you walk in the door. Very friendly staff and the owner was even more personable. I love that she interacts with customers! Que even brought us two free samples of the Gumbo. It was good! I had the Roasted Mushroom Sandwich, it was very tasty. My husband ordered the Fish sandwich, but they mistakenly brought him the Hot Italian sandwich. Great mistake because we got to try that sandwich for free and then they brought him his original order, which my husband loved. Both of us had a side salad with Vidalia onion dressing-really good. I had the Cinnamon Roll for dessert, which was really good!”
“Me and my son visited....When I say 10 out of ten TJ AND AR I BELIEVE THATS THEY NAMES....THE DRINKS WAS DRINKING AND THE FOOD WAS FOODING....I WAS BE BACK?????????????Kid-friendliness: My son loves they chocolate ice cream and churros”

Jacoby's
“The potato pancakes had little flavor. The Sausage Soup was VERY good. The Rindfleisch Rouladen was good as well. The side cabbage had little flavor. I ordered a Koenigsberer Klops (German meatballs) to go. It has 3 meatballs ( just ground beef and capers ) and a lemon caper sauce over fried spaetzle and a condiment cup of cabbage. Not worth $20 IMHO. The service was OK for us getting there at the beginning of an St Andrew's after show rush. Had a "$10 cover charge " sign that they took away when they saw people passing by”

Standby
“Standby restaurant and bar exceeded expectations in every way. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting, with a trendy yet cozy atmosphere. Our server, Ebrahim, was an absolute delight, providing top-notch service with a genuine warmth that made our dining experience truly exceptional. The menu offered an array of delectable options, each dish expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. Whether it was the innovative cocktails or the mouthwatering cuisine, every aspect of our meal was nothing short of superb. Standby is undoubtedly a gem in the dining scene, and Ebrahim's exceptional service only added to the overall charm of this establishment. A must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure.”

Bad Luck Bar
“Sometimes a little bad luck is all you need!Fantastically crafted cocktails in this speakeasy - no password needed for this secret location. The door is found in the alleyway near the dumpsters.”
“It was about a 40 min drive for me and it was well worth it. I'm assuming the cook is a male because that's who I see cooking food on their Instagram page. I ordered a birria crunch wrap and elote wings that surprisingly had elote corn on top of them. I want to play in that man's beard, and pray over his crown after tasting those dog on elote wAngs and corn! I was annoyed that I coulsnt call my order in because they dont accet call ins but I quickly got over it after I tasted the food. The customer service was good, the wait for the food wasn't to long , and everything was fresh and delicious.”

Oak & Reel
“Each dish was beauifully presented and delicious. Staff was respectful of our time for dinner prior to attending a show at the Fisher Theatre. With a 5:15 reservation, we had adequate time to fully enjoy a 4-course dinner prior to the 7:30 show. Upscale Italian with a seafood lean. Classy and delicious without being pretentious.”
“Amazing food! Was Halal when we came, its been a minute. So give em a call to confirm. we got the steaks, filet mignon, so well done. The soups that it came with were really good too, i loved the nachos they gave us as well.”

“Ordered via door dash while staying at a hotel in Detroit and it was hands down, the best Italian food I’ve had! Menu was small, but so flavorful. Trap Vegan
“My Husband and I visited there today. This was our first time hearing of this place after googling it online. The burgers were AMAZING. I have eaten at many vegan restaurants and this by far was one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had. We had the Soul Survivor and they were seasoned to perfection. We will certainly be back when we’re back in Michigan.”
“What an amazing space! Very intimate and historical! The food and drinks here are priced very well and are also very good! The service was spotty because of technical difficulties but, I will absolutely visit this establishment again!!”
“Smoothies/juices are perfect any time of the day. We were visiting Detroit for the first time in February and were fortunate to find this shop a few short blocks from our hotel - Westin Book Cadillac Hotel. The shop is located on the first floor of the historic Dime building/Chrysler House. We were greeted and served by the owner- Steven. He gave great suggestions and we ended up with the Evolution smoothie and Cacao bowl w/açaí base. We also grabbed some of the energy bites to go from the case. Everything tasted so good!!! So refreshing and delicious!! It was closed today Sunday, but we will definitely return tomorrow morning before heading back to the airport. Thank you again to you and your wife for bringing a little of taste of the island to the big city. ?️Looking forward to visiting again upon our return.”
“Always amazing food. One of the best ramen houses I've ever visited. Service got 4 stars and not 5 because the past 2 times I've been food got forgotten about and delivered wayyyy late. It's a nice place and worth the wait if they're busy. Highly recommend.”
“Eastern Market Brewing is a great spot to grab some Detroit themed brews in Eastern Market. There is plenty of seating available, inside and out. Little fire pits to keep you warm on a chilly day. There are to-go options if you are unable to dine in. The employees were friendly & upbeat. Give Eastern Market Brewing a try!”
“The food was really good! Based on the menu, I thought that I would leave still hungry and that was far from the truth. Staff are very friendly! Comfortable and casual atmosphere. Fish and chips is amazing along with the hush puppies. We will definitely be back!”
“Excellent beers brewed on site. The saison was particularly delicious. The location is gorgeous with great seating and local art on display. Nice seating outside. Dog friendly inside and out. There are a bunch of board games available and when we went there was a nice food truck.”

Z's Villa
“The wait staff was amazing and attended and sat everyone quickly and got our orders fast as well and made our food so amazing everyone pushed me to make this review , so if you happen to be in Detroit , check out this villa for their food and mimosas !!”
“Matys does is a very busy mostly takeout business. They do have tables and when we were there a few were eating in. As it was our first time we had chicken, lamb, couscous, red snapper, jollof rice and peanut soup. The red snapper is a favorite though ours was a little over cooked but I'd order it again. The lamb was grilled in pieces and me not a lamb lover liked it though it was a bit chewy. The jollof rice and chicken were fought over at our table so they liked those. This is a casual takeout place so not really for date night but I'll be back to try my faves”
“They never disappoint........One of my favorite spots to go to especially in the summertime. We've been lucky to get the same server every time we go.The hostess has the best attitude and disposition. She's such a wonderful lady. The food is extremely flavorful! I recommend this restaurant to everybody that I know.”

“Absolutely amazing great tasty food in the dead of winter. Very professional. Had the dinner corn taco combo with rice and beans. The rice is good, the beans are great topped with delicious cheese. Corn tacos with chicken was amazing, the corn taco fajita was amazing, the corn tacos mixed meats was not good. The mild green sauce rocked. Posted pics.”

“This has become me and my cousins fave spot after work. The halal burger is my personal al fave (the brioche buns are chefs kiss) and the crispy fish! “Great little pub to stop in for a few after dinner drinks. We looked at the menu and we want to go back to try their food. They had a special Noel night menu though-so I didn't see their regular every day menu. Place had a fun vibe and the staff were really Friendly.”
“Great spot tucked away inside a beautiful old building in the city. Open to the public, this is definitely worth a stop for drinks before your dinner reservation. It was full, but not too busy. Good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere with very classy vibes. Live music started around 8”

“Thank you to Edyta for helping me to place my order. She was very friendly and patient as I was having difficulty with the online ordering when I entered a wrong zip code. Our Germack merchant closed along with many other great establishments and I was thrilled that Germack delivers to individuals. I've tried other nut brands but none have been as fresh and delicious as Germack. My favorites are cashews and squash seeds. Assortments arr always a welcomed gift for any occasion. I buy the large bags of nuts and freeze in portions - it works for me.”

“Excellent cute, unique place! Outstanding service and amazing food. Great menu and definitely well executed. We loved everything about the decor and the vibe! It makes you feel like you're on vacation.... either in Miami, California or even a cruise! The drink menu is unique and satisfies all sorts of different tastes. I loved the 59’ BIARRITZ ON SUNSET. If you like a little bit of a stronger drink, the MOTOWN BEETS is worth trying too!The Beef Tartare was delicious. As well as the Huge MF short rib, the Rigatoni Ragout, and the Margherita Pizza. They were all PERFECT in their own category. There were no leftovers in our party of 4... nothing to even clean off the plates. The Toasted Pistachio Caffe Latte was excellent! Also, their deserts are to die for. We had the Detroit Chocolate Cake and the Warm Apple Crostata, and even though they're big enough to share, we really didn't want to. Sorry, not sorry. LolOur waitress Carrie was OUTSTANDING! HATS OFF to her!We will definitely be back!Parking: There's plenty of paid street parking at a very decent hourly rate. If not, valet is also an option.”

“Outstanding meal and service last night before the Fisher Theatre. Wow! A wonderful Prixe fixe menu with a delicious first course fattoush with smoked salmon, 2nd course of yummy walleye with delicious accompaniments and a perfect dessert served by our terrific server, Allison. I loved that they had 2 mock tails on their menu. The restaurant looked beautiful and was stellar all around. Been there many times and it was honestly, my 2nd choice last night. It will be among my top choices from now on!”

Dakota Inn
“We were welcomed with smiling faces as we stepped into this authentic German pub. It was a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed the schnitzel and German potato salad and several German beers. The place was filled with patrons enjoying drinks, food and conversation. We will return to check out the piano music. To be open 90 years is a feat in itself and is something to be admired.”
“Great wine selection and exceptional food! Menu changes often but on my first visit almost all the dishes on the menu were gluten free. I don't think you can overstate how good the food is. Also try the Serbian skin contact wines. Very good.Dietary restrictions: Almost every dish on the menu was gluten free. The menu does change often but both the wait staff and the chef were very knowledgeable about which dishes were gluten free.”

James Oliver
“Holy cow the absolute BEST coffee house in the neighborhood! Opens up at 7 am and worth the one block walk from the Curio hotel. Each of us ordered a mocha and an everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese. The food tasted very fresh very natural and unprocessed if that makes sense. We loved it so much we went BACK AGAIN this morning for our round two. Same coffee mochas this morning and for our sandwich, the Jalapeño Pretzel bread (it is salty but go for it!) and the sausage egg and cheese. We picked up a blueberry muffin as well. Unbelievable to have such delightful food and yes, we found James Oliver via YELP. The staff was FANTASTIC and when we find something we love, we indulge like we did two days in a row. So good!”
“I am in town with friends from Buffalo and the service and food was absolutely phenomenal!!! Lemond took great care of us and was so sweet! Highly recommend. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Detroit.”

“The manager, Byron was very friendly and accommodating. I visited the Applebee’s on Jefferson Avenue in Detroit, Michigan. Byron made the place feel home like and warm. I would rate the food in the service as outstanding. But I have to make a special mention about the manager because it shows that he truly cares about his store.”

“Listen they is popping right now the service be A1 and they affordable....taste better than zeebee and hook fish and they hours be good when you want to eat late at night AND BLACK OWNED”
“I ordered wings from dominos tonight and couldn’t eat them because they tasted spoiled. So I called Manhattans and ordered some wings 30 minutes before closing. Thankfully, my wings were freshly cooked and as good as they always are when I order from here. I got the garlic parmesan and honey barbecue wings and they were really good. They saved the night because I did not want to cook and dominos had me so frustrated and disappointed!”
“This is my family Favorite place to eat. We always order to go and yes, there’s a little wait sometimes a long one. Reason being they fix it as you order it and take their time to get it right. The line is long because the food is good. My son absolutely goes crazy once he sees the bag because he knows he’s about to eat the Best Breakfast. Pancakes fluffy, bacon crispy, grits just right and hash browns always on point. This location never disappoints. Thanks to the ladies that work the window for always being so kind and sweet. For sure recommend this location!”
“M George coney the best I ever had always clean friendly fresh food good service the best in town love u m George’s staff is awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Kid-friendliness: Best in town”
“Love love love fresh fish you can purchase and they fry it for you. Food was well seasoned and delicious!! Usually busy doing lunch so call ahead. Also they take EBT to purchase fish, but must pay cash to fry it after you buy it. Large variety of fish and other seafood items as well some seasonings you can buy. I also bought some German chocolate cake, SO DELICIOUS AND MOIST!!!”

“Very loud and expensive! Food is mediocre. Dessert is the only reason to go. Expect to spend roughly $80 a person.I got a burger, fries and a pop and it was $30.The employees are very friendly and fun!Expect to wait roughly an hour before your table is ready. Definitely make a reservation.”

“A bit overpriced for the quality. Very slow service from the moment we arrived. We had reservations and yet They took at least 20 min to give us our table. The quality of meat wasn’t the best specially the lamb. The sale bar was good. The non alcoholic beverages as well. We were offered virgin carpironhas which were delicious.”
“I was visiting Detroit with a large group of friends and we were able to make a reservation for a large party of 12 a week in advanced. The restaurant had a great aesthetic and accommodating to our needs. The food was very good for the most part. I would definitely recommend visiting for a decent restaurant/vibe/food night.”
“Been coming here since I was born (50+ years ago). In fact my family has been coming here since before I was born. The best chips and salsa of anywhere. Beef and cheese enchiladas are outta sight. If only I could eat some right now! Simple put: one of my favorite places in the world.”
“A lot of breakfast with lunch options in a little space. Not a place to recommend for a lot of people in your party due to their space available. One must reserve to be guaranteed a space. The website doesn't tell you that you can park for free at 25 State Street with the QR code in the restaurant. They accommodate little ones on their menu as well. They have a la carte items to complete your meal. If buying certain breakfast items that don't come with the common item be ready to buy them, if hungry enough or accustomed to them with your meal. They carry more than pork items in their menu and vegetarian items as well. This was my first visit and will not be my last! My server Phil was great with suggestions. So feel free to ask them for ideas or desires. The manager/owner checked by often to validate our meal/dining experience and they were busy! Food was delightful, tasty and cooked well.Parking: Parking structure is easy to pass and is tight for suv+. You can park there but be mindful that not everyone knows how to park with consideration of others when you pick a spot. Validation for parking is in the restaurant (idk if that is all the time). The downtown location stays open until 3 daily.”
“Old school restaurant feel. The seating is comfy and elegant with a modern flair. Greg was our server and he was attentive. The food was delicious with the perfect portions. I would definitely go back for dinner and drinks. (We had brunch).”
“Jordan was our bartender last night and he was amazing! Being short staffed and very busy, he still took excellent care of us and the drinks were delightful. Thank you!”
“Man, so impressed! Didn’t have reservations so we sat at the bar, no problem. The black eyed pea hummus is something I will dream about! Catfish and chicken dinners were excellent and the yams were the best, EVER!!!Parking: Parking in back, $10 or $12 Cash App”
“Giavanna was an outstanding waitress! She provided prompt service with a smile and truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend! She was attentive, quick, and had a great attitude. Definitely enhanced our dining experience!”
“I must say another awesome experience with Omar and Amanda. Very knowledgeable on drinks recommendation & outstanding service. ZuZu should be pleased with these two who provides top-notch service!”
“I made a reservation at LDV to celebrate a friend's birthday. I hadn't been to LDV since 2018, but I had recently heard wonderful things! I have to say that my expectations were exceeded! Our waiters Jason and Leo were phenomenal!!!! They offered wonderful suggestions, and all of our food was fantastic! The ambience was lovely, and the parking safe and light so well it was like being at Comerica park at night. This is truly a beautiful and delicious restaurant just a short run down Woodward! I can't wait to return soon.”
“Me and my boyfriend went to celebrate and we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves. Majority of the food was good except the macaroni and cheese! The environment and vibe was great!”

“Solid Indian food. Smells amazing, everything just needed a bit of salt, which is easily fixed, and better than being too salty. We ordered samosas, the Tandoori mixed grill with garlic cheese naan and lamb vidaloo. The samosas were quite good and the sauces that go with are yummy - one sweet red sauce and one savory green cilantro sauce. I really liked the green one and dipped my naan in it too. Fried well, seasoned inside, and not greasy. The garlic cheese naan was perfect - cheesy, herby, charred, soft and chewy. Highly recommend. The lamb vindaloo was saucy and smelled so good; lots of tender savory lamb, and it comes with a side of white rice, perfectly cooked and fresh. The medium spice level was definitely spicy, but not too much. I really enjoyed the Tandoori mixed grill, especially the sausage-like pieces and shrimp. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and had this delicious char on them. Yum. The chicken was tender and moist with that signature bright red color. And there was definitely enough meat to eat for 2 meals, maybe 3 for me. And for $18 downtown, that's a good price.A nice man who appeared to maybe be the owner was chatting with a table of folks when we walked in; we were greeted right away and our food was ready right on time, as we ordered ahead online. They didn't miss anything in our order - it was perfect, hot and fresh. I will say this: their menu is huge, and I've seen some hit or miss reviews. Maybe stick with the basics the first time you go - butter chicken, chicken tikka, biryani, tandoori, etc. Or maybe try one of the dishes that are prepared and waiting, as those are probably the most popular and made most often. I love that they have ready-to-go options for people who don't have a lot of time to grab lunch. As a suggestion for this small downtown location, they may want to consider shortening the menu. I did find it interesting that they had so many goat dishes, and one of the most glowing reviews was about their goat. Since I've never really tried it, maybe I will be adventurous next time. All in all, fair prices downtown with decent portion sizes and excellent samosas, naan and shrimp. We will definitely come back again.”
“Such a great Birthday experience! From the delicious whipped feta, filet mignon, and date cake to our AmaZing server Rasool who was efficient, engaging and entertaining and the atmosphere is simply beautiful.”

“i went here with my friend to get smoothies. our smoothies were so good and hit the spot! no more going to eastern market to get a smoothie when joyner juices is right here. the owner is super knowledgeable and very helpful in giving recommendations for what to get. will definitely be my go-to for nearby healthy smoothies.”
“A brand new bar that is killing the grosse point park area. We love the furniture and decor they have gone with. Currently not serving food, but plan to. Great mixed drinks and they have big plans for weekly events.”
“Absolutely my favorite place to bring anyone I am hoping to impress. Cocktails are amazing and adventurous. The scent pairings elevate the whole experience. The staff and owners are the best. 10/10”
