Tortilleria La Mexicana

Overall not the worst place I’ve been to but also definitely not the best.
Service was fine, our server was not unkind nor did we feel we weren’t attended. Very standard, greet the table, ask for food and occasional check in, nothing above or beyond to note.
As for food the rice was dry but the beans were good. The sope was the best item we ate out of the items we got but that was after we added salsa and salt. Food lacked flavor for what is typical with Mexican Food. In short this is not like the worst mexican food we’ve ever had there’s definitely actual offensive places in the greater orlando area. They’re also pretty cheap compared to other places so you are kind of getting what you payed for. The knowledge of how to make it is there nada mas que no tienen mano.

The food is amazing, but the service from some of the waiters is horrible. They are very rude. When you ask questions about the items on the menu, they answer like if you’re stupid. When I ordered a burrito She asked me what meat I want in it. So I asked what options they had and she responded with a tongue pop and saying the same ones we always have. When you sit inside the restaurant, there’s barely any space to move around. If they were kinder and had more space to move around when you’re dining in, I will definitely be visiting this place more.

I wanted to order a to go order, I walked in to the establishment and no one ever acknowledged me. Finally I was able to flagged down a server and I was told to place my order with the cashier only to be asked what I needed with a full on attitude!
When I finally got my order I'm sad to say the food was disappointing. My tripa taco tasted like oil and looked like the burnt leftovers from a hamburger grill lol and my caldo de res tasted more like a Vietnamese Pho.

Their food is not delicious it tastes like it has been prepared for weeks. It tasted really dry
And it was quite pricy. Won’t be going back to eat but I do like their sweet bread if you go right after they open you can ask to choose from the warm bread in the back. I definitely love their aguas frescas and ice cream the best I’ve ever had!

Don't this small "hole in the wall" fool you. For what we had, bistek Ranchero, birria tacos, and caldo de res... all 3 were bussin* , good authentic taste , service was good, place is humble, relaxed , not upper class feel. But, again, the food and service were great! We will add this to our next stop. Oh the fresh cucumber lime drinks were good too!

I bought two orders of birria tacos. When I asked if they could give me the consomme, they gave me two jars of pure oil with the color you can see in the photo.

I usually buy tacos here all the time since I like their quality, they put a lot of meat and a double tortilla. But two days ago I bought 6 natural pineapple juices. 6 juices are not cheap at all, but I like them and I always buy them. And Neither I nor my family could take it. They didn't color it or I don't know what happened, the only thing that came out of the absorbent was the pineapple gas, it was very uncomfortable to constantly have to get that out of my mouth. I don't know what happened, but they were 6 juices. It is not fair to pay for something that you cannot drink. Other times it has had better quality.

The employees who are there now are there for everything except doing what they have to do. I made a call at 7:17 pm, I ordered an order of 15 hoe tacos, two pina coladas and a pineapple juice. The employee told me, ok, 20 minutes. After my husband arrives they tell him, are you sure they called here??? Is it serious?? Get ready for what you have to do, you're not playing. After I waited so long to get to the place and nothing. I showed the call I made so they could see and they looked at each other. Hire serious people.
