I moved down here a year and a half ago from Chicago and during my hunt for a good Mexican restaurant, I can safely say that this is by far the best most authentic Mexican food you can get here in SWFL. Nothing else compares - you may pay a bit more but it blows every other Mexican restaurant here out of the water! Cannot recommend Iguana Mia enough 🌮

This place has a great atmosphere! It is very colorful. The food was good. I had some custom order without a couple things and it came on the food. The server didn't come to check on us for several minutes so I just scraped it off the best I could and ate it. We also had to ask multiple times for refills.

So pleased to have found this Iguana Mia treasure! Food was delicious! Had the chimichanga covered in cheese dip. Absolutely love the salsa and chips. They do a great job here. Thank you Gina service was excellent!

Do not order nachos. The ones I got had very hard tortilla chips and were matted together with melted cheese that was around room temp. It was almost as if they had microwaved the cheese onto the chips too long and thus toughening the chips. The fajita chicken ordered on the nachos was minimal. I ended up just picking the bits of chicken and ate them with the lettuce, sour cream and guac..... sorta like a lite salad. Won't order those again for sure.

The food was amazing! The drinks were tasty, and those tacos were just nothing like i tasted before. Will definitely be coming back again! Thanks to laura, she knows the in's and out's of this restaurant.
