I was in there yesterday and the clerk was not wearing a mask and I had to hand them my credit card. It's a small store and provide essential services. They should have more consideration for their customers. I wear my mask to protect others, they should change their procedures and do the same.

Went in the other day to find alot of the bulk food gone or empty. Then looked around and saw alot of other stuff on shelves missing. Then read online and found out they were purchased out of bankruptcy by bulk nation. What a shame. We moved here when I was a kid on 1992 and have shopped at Richard's(venice, englewood and Sarasota locations) over the last 27 years. I never cared for the bulk nation that was in Sarasota and I have a feeling soon Richard's as we know it will be gone. The end of an era.

I would say as a person looking for food free of processing, gmo, pesticides and so forth I was delighted. The staff seemed to really want to help every customer with questions and more. Even though there were more people to help then they could possibly do it once they seemed to try very very hard to juggle and help everyone as detailed as they could. I was very impressed with their desire to assist people it was very genuine feeling and not obligatory. I found a few items I was looking for and was very pleased with the overall cleanliness and the amount of product available on the Shelf. I would definitely say to this is a great place to go if you're looking for bulk of so many things. I included some pictures and you can see the bulk I'll goes all the way to the end with bulk choices. The only complaint I had which really had nothing to do with Richard's which is why I will not doc them any off of Their Stars for it is that the Land Management company has elected to give more spaces to the pizza pick up place then to handicap parking. As a disabled shopper I found this very frustrating and I was very exhausted and it nearly cost me my ability to visit this wonderful food store. It's an issue I will bring up with the Land Management Company but I would encourage everybody who is looking to eat healthier and to make healthier choices about their foods to definitely go and check out this local Delight. I was really surprised to find out how many Richards there are and plan to go to a couple others just too see the differences. I would definitely recommend this door to anyone looking for a healthier option..
I live on the goods from this store. And I appreciate the sample coffee and other interesting treats. Very peaceful feeling here. We come weekly.

Richard's is what healthy eaters relied on before Whole Foods came to town. It's an excellent mom-and-pop shop selling a wide variety of foods and supplements. They even have Sami's gluten free breads in the freezer, some of the best GF products out there. The produce is limited but that's usually the case with smaller health food stores. So instead go to town on the self-service, bulk products (there are a ton to pick from). Staff is friendly and helpful and prices are competitive with WF.

What a great store this is... very clean and open space with a friendly helpful staff. They offered all of my favorite 'trusted brands', and I even found a few new brands that I didn't know about. Honestly, they are priced well below what I've paid in some of those 'other health food stores' and especially in comparison with the 'Big Name Stores'.
