We love to find good food when travelling and Iguana Mia was a wonderful experience. Great menu with a lot to choose from.... fresh homemade chips and 3 salsas and dip arrive immediately at your table! We arrived early for lunch. Parking is in the back - I see there are varied reviews.... but we had a nice experience. Perhaps timing is everything when visiting, that is why we like to go early to places like this or off peak times.
Needs allot of attention in cleanliness, allot of turn over it seems and not enough training or help. Deep clean is necessary and more than the ususal pest control.
We sat on the outdoor covered patio. It was not busy on a Monday late afternoon. My 2 year old was with us and they provided a high chair. The server was excellent. The chips and salsa are the reason I go here, repeatedly. Mondays are $2 margaritas. I had mine on the rocks but you can get frozen as well (I believe Jose Cervo). The food was nothing special and a bit bland. I had quesadillas with steak and side of papa fritas. The papas were not as good as I remember from previous visits. Food is always really hot! There were maybe 2 other parties on the patio and maybe 3 or 4 inside. Patio faces Cape Coral parkway and a shopping center. Not much for the view unless you like to watch cars go by. I still would recommend going and most likely continue to go myself.
Staff was good and the food was great. The experience was enjoyable. Had a large party and they allowed us to sit a little ahead of the rest of the party members showing up.
We were welcomed by a friendly hostess. Had a 15 minute wait so we went to the bar and ordered a drink while we waited. The bartender was extremely friendly and waited on us quickly. We were seated within 5 minutes. Immediately received a tray of 2 salsas/sour cream/pico, and delicious chips. The waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. 5 star service and 5 star food and drinks. I would definitely return here!
Mexcellent Mexican. Super delicious salsa. Great restaurant.
Was a nice, clean, friendly establishment. Food was delicious. The salsa platter is awesome and a nice treat they start you with. Our server was great, but the real ? was Micheal, who we did not know was the manager, but thought he was a host. They were pretty busy, and he took us right to our table and got us started with drinks and starting our order for the waitress who was very busy. Great teamwork and constantly checked on us to make sure we couldn't be happier. Thank you for a great experience and a full belly!
On our visit to Cape Coral we decided to eat here. The service was slow. We had to get up and get our own silverware. The food was horrible and bland. The meat was very gritty and no taste at all. I would highly recommend eating somewhere different. If you decide to eat here make sure you have a bathroom close by. I wouldn’t even give it a rating it was so bad!! But..it makes you choose 1 star to post this..
i love this place so much. when i end up on death row im gonna have the enchilada dinner as my last meal. every server ive ever gotten has been amazing. and the churros omg dont even get me started. this is my 2nd favorite restaurant after Texas Roadhouse. my spanish boyfriend does backflips every time we come here
Came for dinner on our first night of vacation. Chips and salsa were phenomenal- some of the best. The assortment of sauces and salsas were so fun to try. Authentic, fresh ingredients. Menu was a little small, and portions were on the smaller side as well. You do not get a lot for the price. However, everything was very fresh and flavorful!
This place should just close down. Crappy service and food. There are much better restaurants to choose from in our area.
Bar staff was amazing despite them being busy on a Friday night of course.Great attitudes and service. Food was delish! Had the steak & shrimp fajitas, very good.Margaritas were also great!
We both liked the food that we ordered. Service was fast and no wait for a table. I had a pork burrito with queso cheese sauce. It was delicious. I recommend the burritos with queso, because who doesn't like cheese sauce?
We ventured out for dinner at the peak times. Since table service was a 45 minute wait, we headed to the bar. I can tell you, we will always eat at the bar from now on. Dana and Brad were excellent bartenders/servers and were great company/conversationalists for our dining experience. My tortilla soup and shredded beef tacos were amazing! My friend carnitas were excellent as well. We’re hoping to return soon.
I would never return here, and it was a mistake to go the first time. While the food itself wasn't bad (it was ok, not bad, not great), the experience surrounding it was terrible. My party with four adults and three kids was seated after over an hour's wait (I was told 20-30 minutes). I went in after a half hour to remind them and they said five minutes. I watched as parties and groups that arrived after me were seated, and served. After an hour, another member of my party came to ask about progress -- a male white guy. We were seated in the next five minutes. By this time the kids had had enough. Food took another long while to arrive. And by the time it did, everyone had had enough and were tired. No one could enjoy their meal. Add to which we were treated to some bad behavior at the large party next to us. The server, who was run off her feet, forgot about us to the extent that we never saw her, even to get our bill. There were no apologies for anything. Will not return.
