Called ahead around 11:15am and asked what time breakfast stopped and switched to lunch. A gentleman informed me they usually stop around 11:30am on Sundays but they were extending it until 12pm today. I said okay thank you so much we will be right down. Showed up at 11:40am and was told they were not serving breakfast any longer. Wasted our time driving there and paying for parking. Unacceptable service.

02/2024: The Bennie’s are delicious. Breakfast here beats the hotel breakfast by a long shot. Enjoy!

I walked here 1.2 miles with a coffee and was told I couldn’t enter because I had a Starbucks. As a business owner, their coffee tastes like dirt. If you serve better coffee people wouldn’t bring Starbucks in.

I strongly recommend that diners at this Cafe pay with cash and not credit card unless you want to experience fraud. I had lunch there yesterday and used my credit card. Two hours later Chase Visa alerted me that someone from the Beach Shanty Cafe attempted to charge $9009 on my card and it was declined. I had to cancel the card which was a major hassle as I was on vacation. I called the next day and alerted the manager about the fraud and she was pretty nonchalant. I suspect that either they have a skimmer on their credit card machine placed by an unscrupulous employee or perhaps their machine was hacked. Sadly, I suspect the former. But the blackened grouper was darn good.

I walked here 1.2 miles with my boyfriend who wanted breakfast. I only wanted the coffee I came in with where I was told I couldn't come in with it. Horrible business decision

Well since I arrived in Clearwater Beach driving all night long my long time friend recommended this place for breakfast since we arrived in the morning. He said it was the best and from what experience it was. They made the best Florentine eggs benedict. The spinach was fresh the eggs didn't taste stale in between the bread underneath the eggs benedict. The Belgium waffle was so so ok however I discovered coconut syrup which I never heard of usually when it comes to pancakes and waffles and that's what made the Belgian waffles better it's their proprietary condiment here. The server was responsive and happy. The hash browns was decent. I usually like my hash browns shredded than chunky cut thus 4 stars out of 5. I would come back to try the Philly cheese egg my friend was eating since he came later. Ambiance was friendly

This is the most magnificent breakfast lunch Cafe. We discovered it in our walk and every single day we went there. Excellent service wonderful vibe and setting and incredibly delicious. Such a sweet place. You must come. No wonder they have been in business for 38 years.

Pretty expensive. Hamburgers are between $13 and $17 for example. They don’t allow substitutions. For example, my wrap came with French Fries, I wanted onion rings instead. The only way I could get them was to pay full price ($6.95) even though they were only $1 more on the Sides portion of the menu. Ridiculous. Won’t be returning. Oh, and the waitress was grumpy.
