To be honest, I considered reversing the transaction. My Voxtails were burnt. We waited 1 hour after calling in. The Ropa Vieja looked like school lunch…. Public School lunch. The Black Beans were too salty. I did not want to leave a negative review but please be advised, as a Vegan foodie with my own food blog and a Chef in various Vegan businesses - I have never felt so ripped off before. Maybe I got in on a bad day… but the fact that my hard earned money went to burnt food is heartbreaking.

One of my favorite restaurants for Caribbean vegan fusion food. Voxtails are one of my families favorites. Customer service is amazing. Food can be a little pricey but, it's worth it for the quality, flavor and freshness. The spicy lemonades are a favorite of mine too. You won't be disappointed.

Maybe we got them on an EXTREMELY off day. But it was just NOT it. My hubby and I paid $75 for microwaved food. They MICROWAVE the food, and charge fresh food prices. The voxtail was burnt and the burnt taste overwhelmed the entire dish. The ropa vieja plate was 80% white rice and the ropa vieja itself was literally just mushrooms and tomato sauce— it looked nothing like the google photos from other customers (check photo). We ended up exchanging the ropa vieja for the curry jackfruit which is when we heard them microwave the food to prepare it for us.Once the food was ready, I asked the lady if they microwave the food, to which she replied yes.I immediately felt sick after eating here and could never recommend this place to anyone. I honestly did not want to leave this review, but my partner encouraged me to do so after such a horrible experience.I really wanted to love it, but I will never be back.

Every bite was incredible. The combined spices, fruit, veggies, beans, and what must be love, make every dish more amazing than the next. We started with conch fritters, crabcakes, and oxtail, ALL vegan. Now I want to go back every day to try the rest of the menu. This delicious food is a Jamaican & Latin inspired plant based delight

The food was good however expensive and well the feel of the restaurant wasn't welcoming

The flavors were on point. I highly recommend the Ropa Vieja or VOXtail platters.

The food is cooked to order and absolutely delicious. I found this gem when googling vegan restaurants near my hotel. It was worth every dime spent

Vegan Jamaican Oxtail was very good. A bit salty but good. The rice n peas were amazing! Giving 4 stars due to this dishing being on pricey side $22. Overall great service n great food.
Fast & friendly service. Have yet to be disappointed with their food. Simply yummy-licious!!

Their food is amazing! It's annoying that people have left mediocre reviews based on anything other than the quality of the food, which is delicious. Seriously, it's hard enough to get tasty vegan food, and to leave a negative review based on service or the time it takes for food to come out is asinine. Please go support this local, family owned restaurant.

I hate to give 3 stars but the establishment left em no choice. Let me preface this review by stating the food is delicious, albeit one of my favorites items were overly salty, but still delicious food.
We pulled up to Island Fusion and ordered the Vonch fritters, the famous voxtails, and the coconut curried jackfruit. True to all the other reviews where it was mentioned, food does take a while to arrive but did arrive nice and hot so that's not bad. Customer service on the other hand is an issue. I tried asking the young lady helping us what was popular and she said "everything is good". I asked what sides do you recommend and she again stated "everything is good". She also just overall seemed uninterested in being helpful.
Vonch fritters arrives first and I thought they were good. Arrived nice and hot. My food, the voxtails arrived next but I chose to wait for my wife's food to arrive before digging in. Her food arrived about 10 minutes after mine. I had voxtails, rice and peas and plantains. Everything tasted fantastic but the voxtails were a bit too salty.
All in all, the food is good here. Don't let this deter you from visiting but just have your expectations in the right place.

2 star because the food was not all that
Drive long distance and when arrive to order most of the food they didn't have. The jackfruit pizza was cold and the cheese don't melt but they called it pizza. The box tails was OK except the rice was hard. The vonch fritters was too much dough so wasn't all that at all
