I spent a Friday morning here. It was super quiet with plenty of time to enjoy each piece of art. It fit in beautifully with the reading I've been doing lately - "A Land Remembered" and anything by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. If I'd seen this art (especially the mural at the beginning with native Florida plants) sooner, I would have been able to better visualize what I read. Here's to Florida!

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon in October. It was a beautiful day and I hesitated leaving the Beach. I am glad I did.Besides myself, the only other people in the galleries were two security people. It was all most like they were following me. The Collection is very well presented and the Gallery space is about right for the size of the Collection. I was impressed that not only some major artist were represented but some of the very talented little Known were all so represented.. The only negative comment is some of the pieces framed in shell or scoop frames are shadowed across the top of the image. The Collection is dedicated to a Florida history theme and may be one of the great collections in that theme. If you enjoy good art and history then this collection is a must.

This is a fine museum of Florida art. Some reviewers have called it small, which is misleading - for a single-subject museum it is actually quite large. Wonderful collection of Floridiana.

This is a museum of Florida artists or art of Florida. It is well presented and a good time to spend a couple of hours on a day that you don't want to be outside. There are good signs associated with each piece. It is a varied collection of local (Florida) are as well as art by others about Florida. It also has a cafe with indoor/outdoor seating

An excellent setting, beautiful and intriguing art, a marvelous collection including, much to our pleasure, a Thomas Hart Benton (being from Missouri, one of our favorites). This collection is well worth seeing.

This museum houses an art collection dedicated to Florida. The paintings are absolutely beautiful. They really show the history and culture of the state. There is also information provided about the artists, and it's interesting to see the diversity of people that came to Florida and chose to put their experiences on canvas. If you're in Daytona, this is definitely a must see.

Almost attached to the MOAS on the same property. Newer structure. Many Florida artists. Parking is no issue.

Florida's best comprehensive collection of Florida's older art is housed in a remarkable airy building that fans affectionately call "the barn." Most of the paintings are landscapes from the 1800-1950 period, many idealized like those of the Hudson River School. Very few newer, more abstract works are included. Exhibits are changed every few months so it's worth visiting frequently. The docents are friendly and not at all condescending, and often you can find the chief benefactor, Hyatt Brown, having lunch in the cafe. He'll be glad to tell you a story or two about some of his favorite paintings. One tip: Don't try to see everything in this building and its neighbor, the Museum of Arts and Sciences, in one day. Split your viewing into three-hour segments on separate days. Kids will probably have more fun at MOAS, which includes railroad cars, a planetarium, antique autos, Coca-Cola gear and a kids' gallery.

Their Florida art collection is unbelievably wonderful! We have visited several times, and each time see something different. Hard to believe the talent of some artists!

Amazing collection of Florida art in a lovely Florida style building. A great deal of thought has been given to the display of art works as well as to information about them.

An incredible collection of Florida inspired artwork. The facility is the perfect host to so many beautiful pieces. Definitely worth visiting if you are vacationing in the area or if you are a resident. It was a great way to spend a chilly afternoon.
