I would NOT recommend this place if you' re not British or Anglo. Very much a racist respond if you're any other race. Rude staff will make it uncomfortable when ordering. Fat Gary, is the daily customer who will pretend he is a tough guy and make comments towards "This is a English only bar" while Guy and Marie are none the courteous. Hope they read this and recognize that this isn't England's Anglo laws. #houligans

Recently renovated and menu updated, the Fox and Hounds fits in with the Oakland Park revival. Traditional British staples like sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, fish and chips now peacefully coexist with fish dip, hamburgers and coconut shrimp. They still have multiple screens in the bar so you can watch most any game, including traditional football but if you've been there in the past you won't recognize the newly redesigned and redecorated dining room.Highly recommend you stop by for a pint or two with the friendly and efficient staff.

I don’t like to write bad reviews and especially after we read all the great ones, I guess we just went on the worst night, I don’t know. We made reservations and showed up 10 minutes before hand and it was really empty. There was a 4 top and a 6 top and no one at the bar. The waiter was very friendly but the kitchen was out of just about everything. We put our drinks and food in and waited. First my husband’s beer took forever because the waiter forgot, and then we found out what we ordered, they were out of that too. The 6 top at one point just got up and left and they were there before us and never got food. We started thinking the same thing when the hour mark rolled around and we didn’t even order appetizers. Finally after an hour and a half we got our food. It did not look appetizing and it was the bare minimum, what a disappointment, sorry to say but we won’t be coming back. What a waste of a beautifully decorated dining room.

It would be nice if they could get their phone number published correctly. It's not right on Yelp it's not right in Google and I'm trying to find it on Facebook as I write this review. They're losing a lot of business.

Several months ago, Fox & Hounds finished their remodel. What used to be a divey bar complete with push-button cash register, is now a comfortable pub with English fare. The parking IS difficult (I sometimes park across the street) but, if you're looking for an authentic place to watch a football game, or if you have a group of people who are just looking for a homey place to share a few cold beers, this place is top-notch.

What a great British pub! I found it by accident and it’s very authentic (been to the UK many times). Highly recommended.

Excellent pub feel! Bartender, Kevin and Master Chef Shane are delightful and so accommodating! Everyone is welcome. Great British music in background all venues. Patrons are friendly and everyone seems to have an enjoyable experience thanks to the hosts! If you want some good beverages and most excellent food, I recommend. I will be a repeat customer. Shane can really serve not only beautiful presentation with creativity but over the top delish eats.

We had a very good lunch here. Shout out to Liv (Olivera) for her service and hospitality... and to the chef in the kitchen for his expertise (sorry we didn't get the young man's name). Inside the restaurant/British-American pub looks like it has been newly decorated. We sat at the bar. It was not very busy when we went. My husband enjoyed his cold harp's beer. They have a number of beers on tap and bottles/cans plus a full liquor bar. We decided to share a couple items. We started with their scotch egg appetizer. The whole egg was wrapped in a light coating of sausage (saged pork) and breadcrumbs and fried. The inside remains partially runny. It had a dipping sauce as well. The presentation was so pretty atop some greens. And although I usually like my eggs more well cooked, this was very good. For our "main" dish, we had their fish and chips. There were 2 nice sized pieces of beer battered cod, along with house-made "chips" aka addictive fries and a small dish of smashed mint-flavored peas. We were too full to try their sticky toffee pudding that Liv recommended, but it sounded delicious. Maybe next time... Can't wait to go back ... and try some more "British pub" items. There aren't many place that offer this type of fare cooked with this amount of finesse and caring.

First time at fox n hound. Went for lunch a 3 on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet. Met by friendly owner? / bartender/server. Handsome dark green painted walls, tufted leather sofas, a very well stocked bar and nice clean stylish restrooms. I bet happy hour during the week is fabulous! I had the fish n chips which was good, nice size fish pieces, served w homemade tarter sauce and a pea mash, great fries and hubby had a chopped salad w grilled chicken, dressing, a little bland, get the balsamic.Backing out of parking lot is dicey, be careful! I recommend.

Great lunch at the fox and hound. First time here! We enjoyed fish and chips on newspaper, as it should be! Nice size fish , crispy fries, homemade tarter sauce. Les had a chopped salad w chicken, which he enjoyed.reasonable prices, nice bartender/ server. Great pub atmosphere! Dark green walls, tin ceiling, tufted sofas. It was very quiet albeit, three o'clock on a Sunday, but I'm sure during the week it's a busy place especially for happy hour. I recommend!

Pub has been renovated and looks great. Food was great I had the steak and my wife had the tikka and they were both great. Scotch eggs brilliant. We will be making it our local. Best British food I've had in America. Owner was there, staff are nice, good atmosphere.

The place has potential and trying hard after the renovation. Nice ambiance, friendly and live music and staff. However they are not yet 'there' with the food. Items on menu sound great but dont come out as expected and its hard to mess up fish and chips (fish was two clumps of mystery) and dont get me started on my Ploughman's! All it takes is a chunk of cheddar, bit of ham, a crusty baguette, pickled onion and Branston pickle with some greens...I got a soft hamburger bun, ham, 3 mini strips of mystery melt on lettuce and sliced onion. Not even close. And the fries were tasteless and 'chewy'. But we really want to see them improve because other than food its nice
