Too much of a college bar with subpar drinks We tried to find a nice social club / cocktail bar setting and this was the only bar in the area that appeared to be something we would enjoy. When we arrived it was clear this was not that, shotgun hallway style with little to no room, the patrons were all young rowdy types that don't understand inside voices. We each ordered three separate drinks, all tasted terrible. We didn't finish our drinks and left early. Maybe the younger me who drank PBR and had blue hair would have appreciated this place more, simply wasn't for us now. I threw a picture in we took at the spot just to give you a glimpse of the inside.

I love Madrinas so much! Visited tonight after months of not going and I missed the art around the bar. The decor seemed different and less unique. Hope it returns. Service was wonderful.

I love Madrina's! This is my favorite bar downtown Gainesville ! I would describe it as an intimate setting, great for date-night or just catching up with friends. They have a full bar as well as specialty drinks. The bartenders are amazing and provide excellent service. One of my favorite drink is a classic Moscow mule! Definitely recommend checking them out. I believe they have happy hour during the week from 4-7 and all day on Sunday.

Came here after one of the hottest football games and my fiancé and I were looking for more of an adult feel to chill. This place by far over exceeded. They have a special Christmas drink menu and the bartenders are amazing! Clean bath, grown and sexy vibe, I highly recommend this place!

Yesterday we came in around 5ish and stood at the bar for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged by the bar tender. The bar wasn’t packed and there were open tables and seats at the bar. We walked out. This is unlike any experience we’ve ever had at Madrinas. We’ve been regulars at Madrinas since they’ve opened. We supported them by getting to-go drinks for us and our friends last year during the lock down and we’ve always had a great experiences before this.
I come every time I visit town and literally the only happy hour you need if Andrew is your bartender! 10/10! Come on a sunday, happy hour is all day!

Love love love this bar! It’s a small place but it’s one of the coolest most laidback bars I’ve ever been to. The smell, the people, the music was all amazing. Props to the DJ at this place. Amazing atmosphere! Drinks are original but very tasty so if your looking for something different go and check them out.

When they first opened, it was new and exciting, but that feeling wore off each time I returned. The drink menu feels limited and at the same time it seems like they are trying to do too much with the overly sweet cocktails/frozen drinks. I think they could benefit from adding balanced drinks to the menu. Maybe something with cucumber, grapefruit, or herbs. I would rather go to sidecar, the TOP, or Public & General for cocktails.

What a lovely bar!A good friend and local brought us here for a little happy hour sesh one weekday when we were in town. And we were impressed!The interior is really hip, modern and fun. They feature some really beautiful art inside!The drinks are DELICIOUS and on point! They have a great cocktail menu and some really fun and creative drink options!Service is excellent.I could totally see this being my go-to spot if I was local.
