Delicious custard. Even if you're not into the flavor of the day, they always have vanilla and chocolate. I had a hot fudge sundae with vanilla and chocolate today and it was so good! My grand nephew had a scoop of cookie monster (I think) and he loved it. He goes all the time. I visit Jax about once a year and take the kids as a treat.Parking: Parking is usually ok, but with several popular restaurants in the same plaza, parking can be scarce at times, like a Friday night.

Awesome frozen custard. The menu is a little intimidating since there are so many options. They have daily and weekly flavors so don’t skip those. They have take home pints and quarts that are delicious also.

Always a must-have when I am in town. The custards are always fresh and there is always a new flavor of the day that customers are allowed to sample. All the staff at all locations have been nothing but nice. If you miss the flavor of the day most of the time, there may be a quart or pint in the freezer. New York Cheesecake is a must-try if they have it in stock; I usually go for the vanilla with rainbow sprinkles. I also recommend the root beer float.

If you are near a Whit's frozen custard establishment and want some ice cream, go. Their ice cream is truly top-notch and there are at least seven throughout Jacksonville including one in the Avondale neighborhood that we went to. They have won local awards for best ice cream and their reputation is well-deserved. You can get fresh soft-serve with a wide variety of toppings or buy quarts to go at really reasonable prices.

Every location of Whit's Custard provides a variety of options. This is one of the bigger locations I have been to. Everyone was welcoming, and we were served quickly despite the long line.
