Paid $18 for a "chicken sandwich" that was just microwaveable chicken tenders in a hamburger bun.

Come with me to the Donut Gallery Diner located in Key Biscayne. I was in the area and wanted to get some breakfast, I checked on Yelp what was in the area and this place caught my attention. Donut Gallery is a small diner serving the classics. I ordered their fresh Orange Juice and the Key Biscayner. The Key Biscayner comes with 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon, ham, or sausage, with grits or hash browns. The service was nice, but a bit rushed, I was glad I looked at the menu before walking in. Overall, Donut Gallery was alright. The look of the establishment is a bit worn down and the food was okay. If I go back it will be for their orange juice.

Wow, this place is a gem! Laurie waited on me at the counter and she was so happy and pleasant. Ricky was cooking and made me an awesome breakfast. Over easy eggs and crispy bacon and grits....oh man were they good. Not too soft and not too lumpy. Just right. This place has a throw back feel with the decor. There are a lot of colorful locals that were there. Can't wait to come back and try lunch.

This place really reminds me of so many restaurants in the Midwest. It was extremely funny (in a good way) so many people who came to this place in the morning are obviously regulars. Everybody knows everybody.Food is solid, place is certainly a family friendly spot.

We came here on a whim after finding that where we planned to eat was closed Mondays. We also looked in at Golden Hog but were overwhelmed by the size of that and lack of posted information, and staff being busy doing things. So the diner lady greeted us in that very friendly way of places that really want customers and we stayed. The island was very quiet this week due to weather, and there was only one other customer. We had corned beef hash and eggs, and a french toast. Both were ok, the hash good and crisp in fact, the french toast was two slices of ordinary bread like I make it at home, with some blueberries, a big sliced strawberry, and couple squirts of whipped cream, seem a bit overpriced for that, though it was enough to fill me up. Probably shouldn't criticize that pricing in an area such as this. Coffee was good and generously refilled. Staff was friendly. Husband enjoyed more than I did, I guess. Nothing really bad. Just nothing special in my view either.

Since new owner new staff the place no longer feel like what is was before, waiter (male) don't stop being on his phone texting and chatting on it.Not the first time he been doing this.Once again, the male waiter on his phone non stop while the cook is working hard and the cook had to serve me due to this male waiter on his phone. The cook even had to step out and deliver a meal while the waiter is on his phone.Previous owner/worker greeted you, had a good conversation with you, hospitality was great and atmosphere was great.I understand changes but the hospitality is important, being a great host as well.I like dinners because it feels like back in the day in New York or other northern locations you can have a good breakfast or a patty melts and enjoy the people working there. After a while it was like family. But know here you are just a customer that's getting his or her meal, pay and have a nice day.Prices gone up.Current staff don't great you, try to know you if you are a frequent customer, etc.Since knew ownership and staff I only been here 3 times vs 3-5 days a week for breakfast and occasionally for lunch.Hope this establishment under the new owner and staff change the hospitality for better and don't have the staff constantly on the cell texting and chatting on it while customers are present.A great conversation goes a long way between staff and the clients.Lorry is the best one there, she's engaged with the customers and very nice with everyone. She remember the customers and always maintaining a positive engagements with customers.Well can only wish them the best and pray for the establishment.
