My Puerto Rican bestie took me to this wonderful place for the first time and I was beyond impressed! It was a casual and homey place, decoration, and atmosphere - so simple and so cozy! The live music was playing, people were laughing and dancing. I guess it was exactly what I needed at the time - something very simple and fun. The service was very friendly and sweet. And the food was phenomenal! All the dishes were so delicious! I'm especially pleased to have options as a vegetarian. I'm definitely coming back more than once! Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options included yuka mofongo, fried cheese with guava sauce, arroz con gandules.

Went on a Sunday evening and the atmosphere was super fun. The DJ was playing on the porch, people were dancing and having a good. This is not a quiet place, but the staff is very welcoming. The food was delicious, I had the churrasco and mofongo that were cooked perfectly. Well definitely be going back again.

The food is delicious but the service is terrible. They never come to your table to ask if everything is okay, if you need anything, the waitress only once takes your order and that's it, and then they put the tip on the receipt. You think it's fair when they don't give you good service

$3:00 for a bottle of water is offensive. A case of 40 bottles is under $6.00 at Walmart. Overhead is one thing but price gouging is another matter. Some prices have increased by over 60% in the last year. I use to go there once a week but not anymore. There are many good places to eat where a glass of water is free and the prices are reasonable. The owner should realize that alienating customers is bad for business.

??They changed my Chef...the garlic chicken with tostones was not good, it didn't have that delicious flavor from your Miguelo's?My parents' dish was steak with onions with white rice and beans with pana tostones...the different steak looked like liver.

I am so disappointed in this place. This was a good place to eat at. Not any more!!! Let's see, where do I begin. Let start by the fact that this place is so desperate to make a dollar, that they deny you any water from the soda machine as other restaurants do when you ask for water. They want to sell you bottled water at all costs($3 to be exact, the cost of a case) and tell you that's all the water they have, when clearly the soda machine is clear as day (Thieves). Secondly, I developed a headache while waiting for my food as the music was so loud and the speaker was pointing directly to where I was sitting (still have a headache as I'm typing this). Not a pleasant atmosphere at all. My food took longer than average, which I don't have a problem with as long as the food is hot, fresh and edible. I'll wait for good food, I don't care. There were two young ladies that sat at the table next to me about 10 minutes after I did and their food came out first. Here is the problem! When my food came out the chicken was visibly charred and dry as the Sahara. The lady(the owner) knew the food was subpar as she came by seconds later asking if everything was ok, which she saw wasn't when she ran it. She doesn't care.I was starving so I just threw my hands in the air, and ate as much as possible. Most of the chicken I left and ate the salad, rice and beans. The young ladies sitting next to me, one of them left their entire entree. I did ask the one girl what was wrong and she stated the pernil had a funny taste to it and the mofongo was very salty. She asked for a refund as she basically didn't touch it.The problem with this place is definitely in the kitchen. The last time I was here the chicken was raw and I returned it.BE AWARE!!!! DO NOT TIP!!!! THEY AUTOMATICALLY TAG ON 18% GRATUITY.I will not be back and will make sure that people I know go elsewhere. SOME ADVICE. turn down the music and stop charging people for water at a 400% rate. Not even good water either. Go somewhere else.
