My 5 star review is based on my customer experience. Let me begin by saying that the food was amazing. The Chef deserves 6 stars. The lobster was so good. The Churrasco and mofongo were crazy good. The plate portions were massive. Let me tell you the best part was the service. Our server Alondra was Amazing. My family fell in love with her. Her professionalism is out of the chart. Our rate for her is 7 stars. The price is fair when you receive such great and tasty food. Dear owner our congratulations and respect for running your restaurant with high standards. The music was awesome ?. After dinner we stayed for a dance. The salsa band was really good. You need to open a location with live music in our hometown Katy, TX.

We arrived at 6:30 they close at 8 and were completely empty. We were a group of 15 on the patio and were told we needed to sit with our group of who we are paying for. The service was by far the worst I have ever experienced. All 3 servers had a terrible attitude and seemed to not want to be at work. I ordered a chicken fingers for my son, when the food was served the waitress brought out a burger for him. When I reminded her what I ordered she stated I had pointed at the burger on the menu- She insisted I was wrong and even brought out a menu to replicate how I ordered. Food was brought out at random and many didn’t receive their food until much later than everyone else. Complete mess and the food was all cold and flavorless.

Excellent food, portions, service! Thank you for serving your delicious food with a smile. Will also add that the prices are terrific in a time that going out to eat is rising in cost. Understandably so but so nice to see a great deal.

Let me start by saying the trifongo and churrasco was good. The tostones rellenos w caruchos was bland, very small portion. Their fried cheesecake was also very good. That being said, their prices were on the very high side. Their online menu says the price was $20.75 for my trifongo w churrasco, however they charged me $28.76. This was a ToGO order so I didn’t leave a tip, and I’m a very generous tipper. I was very disappointed they automatically tipped themselves 15%. For a meal for one, one appetizer and a dessert it came up to $55, to go, not sit down. Way more than a fancy sit down restaurant. Will never return again unfortunately.

Food was very good, extremely close to eating in Puerto Rico. Good ambience, unfortunately the service was quite slow. Almost 2 hrs for 2 appetizers and 2 entrées; to the point a friend texted to check on me. Lastly, no sign saying that a 15% tip was included in the final bill. I do not mind tipping, however, I did not believe that the slow service overall was deserving of 15%. I suggest advertising this and allowing the customer to decide if they are ok with it and dine or leave, but not to find out at the final bill. Place has potential.

My family and I have been going to this place for years since they opened. Food used to be very good and customer service Used to be on point. However, as time has gone by the service has gotten horrible and the food quality has gotten poor. I ordered arroz mamposteao with carne frita and my carne was super hard and burnt and on top of the fact I got served a kids meal portion. My father in law chicharones where hard and served him like 4 pieces as well. My husband had to ask for more beans since all they gave them was caldito and literally no beans. The mofongo was half the size that they used to be. The waiter she had no kind of friendly demeanor, nor did she even care of checking in on us, Thankfully another waiter with blonde hair helped us on three occasions for drinks and other stuff. I see it as since the tip is already included these waiters feel like they do not have to have any kind of good service and they are there just to take an order and get paid. Personally, I feel this place has lost their credibility from what once used to be a Good restaurant.

Nice atmosphere and waitresses were friendly. Ordered a piña colada and arroz con gandules and everything was tasty. Plus the outside seating is great. Would recommend if you like Puerto Rican food.

A local highly recommended this place. We were a group of 4 beyond excited to try some local eats . We were highly disappointed by the lack of customer service from the waitress and owner. The waitress was aware it was our first time dining. We didn't take very long to order. She didn't put in our order immediately . It took 45 minutes just to get our appetizer and I literally mean 1 queso frito. After an hour we decided to leave being that other patrons whom had arrived after us were getting their entree a lot faster. We get to the front to pay for what we consumed drinks ( nonalcoholic) & 1 queso. They state that food is made to order..we didn't order anything complex. Asked 2 different times to check on our order. Not one of the those people physically checked on our order nor did they state it was going to take over an hour to get our food.. they would just say it should be out soon. The manager was called to check us out , and wanted us to pay for entrees that were never received. We declined.. the owner was called..we tried to explain what had taken place.. instead of thoroughly looking in to it.. he took the waitresses side .was argumentative... and chose not to listen to our reason for choosing to leave and dine elsewhere. The owner stated he was going by the time stamp on the waitresses ticket. We asked that he review his camera footage and view the time stamp.to prove that what we were telling him was true... but he refused.. at the end of all of this and once we had time to really process everything.. we felt that it was because we were Mexican. I really hope it was just really bad customer service. When they treated everyone else different that's the only thing we can think it may have been. We were polite , patient and tried our best to understand but the restaurant was at less than 50% capacity with plenty of staff .. That's the only thing that makes sense. I don't recommend this place.I too am a business owner and I always try to make sure I listen to my clients and try my best to make a situation right , especially if I am in the wrong.

If you're not Spanish speaker, you'll have a hard time getting the attention. Server speaks to you in Spanish knowingly that the guests are non Spanish speaker. Hmmmmm very strange or possibly unwelcome feeling. No recommendation when asked. The price is high given the quality of food is average. I ordered chicken with arroz con handle. Chicken piece is thin and very dry! My partner and ordered ensalada de pulpo. The pulpo tasted like from a can. Not fresh. Disappointed with service, price and quality of food.Don't recommend. Trust me I've eaten at many Latino restorante. This place can't even come close to Gloria Estefan restaurant and many other local ones!

Wepa!!! Easy solid four or five for about as authentic Puerto Rican eats you're going to get on the mainland and with enough cervesas, you'd almost think you're on the island! Everything was delicious and both the tostones and alcapurria were hot dropped; something I really appreciate. Arroz con gandules was so good I ate all of it and shouldn't of. Isn't someone's abuela doing the cooking? Tastes like it up in here. Basically, heartwarming island comfort foods here. Miguelo's came highly recommended and they were right!

My asopado had 6 shrimps, the rest was broth, rice and potatoes. Portions are huge though, I also asked for a flan for desert and it was nicely served, however is it not made from scratch, it was prepackaged, just nicely presented. Customers service was acceptable.
