I got a bag of hickiry at the Riverside Arts Market in Jax. Highly impressive! My mother in law makes the best jerkey anywhere. But this s comes close. Better than any store bought jerkey I've had. Most have that wierd waxy texture and gumminess that I can't take.
One Saturday morning my wife asked me to go with her to the Pierce St Farmers in Clearwater. I wasn't thrilled about going but she said she heard they had a locally made jerky company there. This is an interesting little store front with whited out windows and a bull logo in the middle. The jerky is made and packaged here. All the jerky is pre-packaged and sold by weight. I tried the Hickory Smoked jerky and it was delicious with just the right amount of smoked flavor. Next was the Hot and Spicy Cajun Brand jerky. It's made with cayenne and crushed red peppers and it will satisfy your craving for spicy! I will definitely be back for more.
