My first visit was March 2018. Was going to Visit Wifes family again 2020 but that dang Covid stopped that idea. Finally made it back, for a 4 month visit July to Nov 2022. I go once or twice a week as its still my favorite place. You can go anywhere in Laos and find great or not so great food. Sometimes what others like at a different restaurant is great for them, and so-so for me. I was craving some tacos after weeks of Thai/Lao food. Gringo's Taco Bar filled the need. The tacos were definitely "Gringo" style. They were tasty and the beef filling had a nice bit of spice to it. They hit the spot. The staff was kind and service was good.

I haven't seen many places in Lisbon that do proper Mexican food. This is a welcome exception. It's also friendly, convivial and cheap. I didn't want to cook after a long week at work and I saw this place advertised, checked out the menu and figured if it was going to be a mistake it would be a cheap one. We found it, sat down, got some cocktails and immediately the world was a better place. These were good. Then we had some nachos, also pretty good. Not exceptional but decent....read full review
