"So we are locals and like to try new places, and I looked at all the reviews and thought, why not? Well, huge mistake; total tourist trap. The food was inedible. I ordered the $60 seafood platter "special" with pasta; the lobster was mushy, the pasta was literally stuck to the plate, and all the seafood was cold. I have 2 friends that are real "professional" chefs, and over their dead body would they ever let an embarrassment like that out of their kitchen. My wife and I decided to cut our losses and just leave, so I paid the $200 check and on my way out complained to the server, who was nice. He did say, "why didn't I say anything to him?" but at that point we were out. As a fisherman, I know seafood, and am lucky I didn't get sick from the overcooked cold seafood that had probably been sitting for a while. I gave the server my business card and said if the owner or manager wanted to reach out to me to rectify the situation I would listen. I waited 3 days and still nothing. My office is literally a couple of blocks away. It could have been a cool place to bring customers and maybe some friends, but now no way. I will go to my usual local spots.

Marco was awesome! Sitting on the patio overlooking Espanola Way, was the best! The Pulpo, meatballs, and broccolini were our favorite. The bread was good as well, especially dipped in the olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, cracked pepper and sea salt!Marco was very attentive yet not overbearing. He was perfect.
My experience in el Mercato was absolutely perfect. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, and awesome desserts. Claudio is one of the waiters and he is amazing, he made the best tiramisu in front of our table and it was the best one I’ve tried in my life. This place is to die
