My husband and I were looking for a decent-priced restaurant near our hotel because we didn't want to have to mortgage our house again to pay for breakfast; and, on our walk, we found Primo Bakery. Sweet mother of mercy I love this place. If you find yourself in Mid Beach in need of a pastry for breakfast or sandwich for lunch, hit this spot! The pastries are delectable, the coffee is solid, and the sandwiches are massive, stacked high on fresh baked bread. We aren't talking about anything upscale here, just high quality stuff prepared well. Also a good spot for sundries -- sunscreen, sodas, smokes ... That sort of thing.

Doesn't look like much when you walK last, but it was really yummy. We got one of the ore made sandwiches and had them heat it on the grill and it was delicious! Good people watching spot too
