After shopping at the Dolphin Mall we went for lunch at the Jaque Mate. The waitress had a huge issue with language as she didn’t speak English. Based on what we could understand from the menu we took Carne a la plancha and Pollo a la plancha (meaning both were grilled). The service was good and the food was enjoyable. The prices were reasonable. Overall – Language barrier made the experience less enjoyable.
Not too crowded, happy hour from 5 to 10 or something like that. Delicious mojitos! Good staff.. is Latin music but sometimes is not really crowded so that kinda of kills the vibe BUT some people might enjoy that. I recommend it to go have early drink with friends, small bites, etc... it has a patio and indoor dining room.
