It's probably the best BBQ in the area. If not all of North Florida. Might be a little in the sticks but its worth the drive to treat yourself to this mom & pop goodness.

Was recommended to go to this location since I’ve been trying to find catfish in the area while visiting familyI have to admit everything is fresh. You can tell it’s in house made Mac & cheese was fairly decent.It was tough finding mustard greens or collard greens….I was told the brisket is the best on this side of Texas. It’s definitely tender. Had a good smoky taste wasn’t disappointed.
Amazing little county store with amazing food! I have been going there for years and I've never had a issue . The county store attached has great locally made items ect.... if your in the area check it out. Great location and great people!

I love the small town feel, and it's not far off I-75 on my trip back north. This is my second time here. The food is decent, but I've had better. The first time, I was a little disappointed with the mac & cheese and the chicken. It was average at best. I really WANTED to love it, but I didn't.I gave it a second try today, because again I WANTED TO LOVE IT. I got the chicken sandwich this time, but it could have been a little better, too. When you order the sandwich, you get 1/4 chicken with bones in and 2 pieces of light bread to assemble the sandwich yourself. That surprised me. The bread isn't toasted or anything.The Carolina sweet sauce was good, though. That did help, but I probably won't go back. It's not good enough to make a special trip with all the choices out there, but if I lived in Micanopy, I might try it again. But I don't.

This is an old convenience store with a food section in the back. The food is absolutely excellent! We've eaten here lots of times, breakfast, lunch and supper. You can't go wrong with this food!
Worth the detour from I-75. Great roadside BBQ. The sandwiches had enough meat to serve as a meal. The sides were good as well.
