Ate here right before Hurricane Nicole and they were so warm and welcoming on a stressful morning. The food was decent but the atmosphere and hospitality were A+. Edit: Food seems to have gone downhill a bit. I didn't like the liquid butter product on my toast. It made it inedible. The cheese in my vegetable omelet was like a Kraft single and everything just felt like they were cutting corners, quality wise. Staff and restaurant are still very nice though.

Omg such a great place we found in New Smyrna Beach. Excellent food and service. Good Home cooking and we met Ruthy so sweet and funny. Food delish and good home cooking. Will definitely be going back for sure. Prices good as well. Very clean also. Shrimp and grits a must try. Grits so creamy and good will order again next time. Next time back will try dinner

We decided to try this for breakfast and trust me it did not disappoint. The service was excellent. We even met the owner super down to earth and funny. Food is amazing and big portions. Prices reasonable. Will definitely be coming back. Want to try for dinner. Definitely a must try good home cooking

Went by the place to eat not realizing they had just closed, the staff was smoking cigarettes INSIDE the restaurant. This is insanely illegal and I cant believe health inspectors haven't caught them and shut them down!

This is a must go to gem! Food was delicious, all 5 of us thought so. The youngest being 8 and two teenage boys.
Service was extremely fast. Atmosphere was relaxed and staff is kind and friendly. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but you’ll want to check it out.
Priced were great! 5 of us for $66.00 before tip. And everyone was full.

This is gotta be the finest diner I've been to in decades. The service is wonderful and the food was simply delicious! I 100% recommend for everybody to come here!!
One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. Sausage gravy was top 10 and bacon was top 5, and I’ve eaten a lot of bacon and sausage gravy! Server was outstanding. Prices were very reasonable. If you want a real breakfast with a diner setting, this is your place.

I had the shrimp and grits. The only way that I can describe is as if someone challenged a person to make shrimp and grits without teaching them how to do it…it was essentially cold grits, unmelted shredded cheese, raw tomatoes, and cold sausage piled together. Awful! The shrimp were unseasoned, lukewarm, and small. But the service was fantastic.

Ruthy's not just a restaurant...it's a destination! The servers are more like next door neighbors, or close friends! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ruthy's!
