This gem of a restaurant was a true surprise. The food and service excellent. Now my favorite Italian restaurant.
I love the pasta of this place, all is home-made. Nice place to lunch with clients, or family.
This place was small and intimate and perfect for a nice date night. We both had veal and it was delicious, antipasto was amazing and the salad was so good. Finished with dessert and espresso. The entire experience was exactly what we wanted for our last night in the area. Thanks again!
Intimate family restaurant that without pretentious serve a varied menu of delicious Italian dishes. Portions are of appropriate size so no one will leave hungry. They are always full and reservations I'd say is a must
Fabulous experience here at CMT. Looking forward to the next visit! Thank you! ???
Food is absolutely amazing. Fast service and great friendly staff. Place is small but i love the ambiance. I got there at least once a week! Definitely recommend.
If you want to have a real good Italian experience, not an fake Italian dinner with those sweet tomato sauces that taste from a jar, but a real Italian pasta, al dente, like the ones you can have in any piazza in Rome, Florence, or any little town in Italy, visit this Trattoria located in North Miami. Be patient! Service is a bit slow, but the extra couple of minutes is worth the wait. We tried the pasta al ragú and the eggplant parmigiana and they were delicious! Trust me! I have a masters degree in Eggplant Parmigiana! We are definitely going back to keep exploring their menu.
I only wish I had come to dine here before, but I guess it is never too late to find and enjoy these great Italian restaurants hidden in a neighborhood. I went on a Monday night to avoid any wait and too many people. We decided to sit inside, due that there were only a couple of tables occupied. Happy we decided that! When you walk in, it is an authentic family-owned Italian restaurant. The decoration is very old fashion, but lovely, true to their culture and style. The layout included wood tables and chairs, white long table cloths, white curtains in half of the windows, and lights on top of each table. They know what they are doing; they did not start yesterday. As soon as you sit down, you get a basket of warm bread and butter. Just perfect. You can order your drink while going thru the menu. We ordered fried mozzarella as an appetizer, and I had the special plate of that night - sautee pasta with chorizo and some vegetables. My husband ordered the lasagna. Let me tell you - it is to die for. It was outstanding. The portions are more than you would expect, and you can take home what is left. I did. And the next day was even better! We had our dinner with some wine, which, even though it was by the glass, was filled more than half. We did not order dessert. We were so full! The service was excellent, on point, and very friendly. We will go back for sure. We want to try every option on the menu.
This is one of our favorite places to dine. I have never left anything on my plate. You must go.
The absolute perfect pasta. The best authentic Italian place, I highly recommend this restaurant, I'm of Italian descent and is so hard to find the right Italian place and this is the best place we have tried in the US. Highly recommend the Crab Ravioli. I'll be coming back soon.
The worst pasta Ever over cooked a 100 miles away to be al dented. ?
I was here on a first date. My date recommended the place. She was absolutely right! The ambiance is wonderful, the food and the service were terrific. I had the fried calamari appetizer and the pistachio-crusted salmon. The desert was some sort of bread covered in vanilla ice cream and some kind of chocolate topping which was sensational!
I love this spot! The food is super authentic and the pasta is always cooked to perfection! Their Garganelli ai gamberi e porri is spectacular! It's like nothing I've ever had before. It was soooo delicious that even my dad who doesn't like italian food or pasta LOVED it!! He even recommended we go back the next day and that's saying something. He had the Petto di pollo allá crema and LOVED it, I did too, the chicken was tender and the sauce was creamy and seasoned to perfection! Their grilled chicken is super tasty and their bread rolls come out warm and toasty. I would give 4 stars because a few years back I had the pesto, which I had today and it wasn't as good as before. It lacked salt/basil/and cheese and I've had the pesto here before and it was the best pesto I'd ever had and what brought me back so I was a disappointed but everything else was so scrumptious and the service was excellent and very attentive! So definitely 5 stars over all. If your looking for a cute date night spot with delicious authentic Italian food. Give this place a try!!!! You won't be disappointed . Also their serving portions are huge so you get to take some home and enjoy it all over again and I'm not sure if it was more delicious the 1st or second time around. I highly recommend this spot.
This is a great original Italian neighborhood Gem. You are immediately greeted with warm dinner rolls. I found the fresh mussels and clam appetizer delicately prepared in a light marinara sautéed with wine and fresh herb. I felt there is a absence of some onion or garlic, yet perhaps it would ruin the delicacy of the sauce. Next we split the tagliatelle ragú which is simmered for hours and the dish speaks to that definition, however I found it to be the the same lacking a second or third layer of flavor in the sauce. Maybe the addition of some hearty wine or aromatics was what this dish needed to amp it up to the next level. The fettuccine was absolutely perfect. Found that the quantity was just enough for two. And with this review I have to say overall good clean basic Italian food and value for the $. Enjoy.
I can't tell you how happy I was with our meal here. We started out with fried calamari which reminded me of the Lime House in NYC grade excellent. Then we had a very nice arugula salad grade delicious. Then for entrees we had the lasagna bolognese which was out of this world. Grade off the charts good. Then a veal scallopini in white wine garlic sauce with artichokes grade excellent. And we had a shrimp scampi another grade excellent. I had a couple of glasses of Chianti which was surprisingly good for Chianti by the glass. Ambiance is very homey feeling super comfortable. We ate outside which was great. Inside though looked just as charming. Service was superb. Everyone was so nice and friendly and efficient. What a great place. If you're looking for an expensive fancy Italian meal don't come here. But if you want a great home cooked meal with great ambiance and super friendly service and a bill at the end that won't give you heartburn then I highly recommend you come here. I plan on taking my own advice as often as I can.
