Decent BBQ and you can get a sampler plate of 3 types for $12. By far the best deal is Monday lunch when a platter and 2 sides are $9. 3 sauces to choose from, a sweet bbq sauce, real southern vinegar sauce with a touch of heat, and a vinegar mustard sauce that I liked allot. Place is also pretty cute with covered outdoor seating.Food: 4/5


Today I stopped at Dixie Pig BBQ. I was greeted by Amber who’s the granddaughter of the owner. I want to say she was very warm and welcoming.My friend and I ordered the bbq ribs and the bbq pulled chicken with sides of Mac n cheese, cornbread, coleslaw, and baked beans.Everything was outstanding and reasonably priced. The sweet bbq sauce makes the chicken much better too. Food was good and fresh.Amber gave us a free side of banana pudding which is a must try.Definitely recommend for everyone.

My husband and I had lunch at Dixie Pig BBQ. I had half rack of St Louis ribs, corn on the cob, fried okra; my husband had 1/2 rack of ribs, chicken black eyed peas, and mash potatoes. Cornbread was a little dry. The ribs were moist, flavorful and the sauces weregreat! We also ordered BLT and fish and chips to take home. All delicious. The next time I want to try the collard greens.

How fun! Loved the food. Service was sweet like the sauces. Better than Spicy service like some of the sauces, huh were to die for. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I feel like this restaurant should be somewhat famous. Came at an odd time but my hubby says it gets crowded pretty fast.

Definitely worth it! The rib tips are delish! The collards are amaaaaaazing! Hush puppies and all the meats! Top stars. Family owned and operated 30 years. Amazing employees and fabulous cooks. Front staff so friendly! Great spot for a nice bite. Enjoyable dining area

Drove up here searching for takeout BBQ. Decided to have the BLT while I waited for my order. OMG! Thank you for not skimping on the bacon. Absolutely delicious sandwich. I'm definitely coming back here the next time I crave a BLT. Can't wait to taste the BBQ tonight.I'm back....You know that feeling that you get when all the planets line up and you get exactly what you wanted and you feel completely satisfied. The rib tips! The ribs! The brisket! What a feast. Truly delicious. Finger licking good delicious. The sauces are addictive.I actually ate the left over sauces with tortilla chips. I know, crazy.I'm so happy I went out of my comfort zone to find you. I'll see you again soon for another deliciously satisfying meal, served by a very helpful and friendly staff. Keep doing it right!Ps...Banana pudding is delicious too.

Our first visit to Dixie Pig BBQ and it was excellent! Staff member helped us decide, there were tons of options! We had the open faced brisket and the chopped brisket platter. Both were excellent, generous portions and reasonable prices. Selection of bbq sauces including Carolina gold and vinegar as well. Fries, coleslaw, hush puppies and cornbread were also excellent. We’ll definitely be back.

Good BBQ, open dining room setting (which was refreshing considering the South Florida weather), I enjoyed the cool breeze as I dined. Ribs were very tasty, corn bread just right, baked beans and mac were good as well and perfect portion. Andrea & Nicole offered great customer service at this family owned business, way to go ladies. I will definitely be back.

Excellent BBQ! We also tried the burger and it was delicious even though cooked more than we would have liked. The service and ordering on line is friendly and efficient. We totally recommend this place.

EXCELLENT! I had the chopped brisket today. I’ve eaten there before and had their pulled pork - very good too… but the pork is N Carolina style, which I find to be a bit “vinegary” vs just smoked. Their hush puppies and sweet tea are excellent also!

Originally the City of Oakland park downtown centered around the railroad along Floranada Road ( Federal to Dixie hwy). So it makes sense Moms diner , collier true value hardware , Smittys butcher shop , Dixie BBQ and other businesses centered around the original downtown area as well. Dixie Pig is pretty awesome and an historical icon of what BBQ means to the locals of Oakland Park. They have been serving the same delicious Food forever and a day. Look at the pictures on the walls. When you are enjoying your food on the picnic tables out front thinking of how it must've been like to see locals passing by. ( Waving like Mayberry ) Farms of green beans west of Dixie for as far as you can see. I take in some food when ever I can . Love it ... They moved downtown Oakland Park to where you see it now near 38 because devastating hurricane that claim many many lives way back when , shortly thereafter the city regrouped and moved downtown to 38th near the new city hall. Very soon progress is going to move city hall again. So change happens when change happens. People is what makes the difference and people make food. Dixie Pig may not look like much yo people as they drive by .. but it's history it's people it's food - all in one. Delicious ! I hear people ask all the time about the history of Oakland park . It's here if you look and ask questions.. food is the icon of history. Dixie Pig can tell ya So whose up for BBQ. Yum

I’ve read some of the other reviews and both agree and disagree with them. So, there you have it. We ordered the ribs and chicken combo, and fish and chips. The ribs were fantastic, moist and falling off of the bones. Chicken, white meat was dry so if I were to order it again, I’d ask when it was coming off the grill and schedule around that time, but it tasted very good. Fish and chips was good, but not spectacular. The most notable item was the Carolina BBQ sauce. It’s mustard based with a note of sweetness and was fantastic. Just like you’d get in Carolina.
