This is soul food at it's best! It's allhomecook food, made from scratch and not from a frozen bag. We had their lunch special which includes the main meal, 2 sides , a slice of corn bread and your drink. Their portions are big for the price. I mean, we can't even finish them all.We had breaded swai fish and it was so good and so was their country fried steak. We had had their yellow squash and I don't know what they seasoned it with but that was best the best yellow squash we've have ever had in a long time, even their mac and cheese and collared greens are yummy. Their cornbread is also good and the slice is a big portion too. I mean they are not stinky with the servings!We love to eat local and really pleased to say that we are blessed to have this little whole in the wall local soul food place here in Ocala. We will definitely come back here again! Thank you Gg's Heavenly Soul Food , you didn't disappoint!

I’m just here visiting from the PNW and GG’s is absolutely amazing! Menu options are awesome! Had the country steak, grits, and eggs for breakfast and it was great! Would highly recommend this place!

They take pride in the food they make and its really good and well seasoned. They also take the time to make sure its right before they serve it to you. I ordered meatloaf one time and it took a while longer than the scheduled time, like 40 mins, but it was really good and they took the time to make sure it was right. The wait may have been just a one time coincidence, but they have good food and I recommend it.

It is so delicious ? and it melts in your mouth ? all of the dishes r homemade and every day is a different small menu and the desserts r homemade too. The staff is so wonderful and nice. First time trying lunch. Food was amazing and customer service was great. Had the chicken Drumettes combo w/ Mac & cheese and green beans. For $15 this was a crazy amount of food! I will be returning.
The customer service was great, timely and friendly. The food was just not good. My pork chop wasn't fried, it was more like broil. The macaroni and cheese wasn't seasoned and it was greasy. The only thing I enjoyed was the cornbread. I went off of recommendations of co workers. This maybe my last time taking their suggestions.

So looking forward to eating at this restaurant. My wife and I were both disappointed. Place is small but clean. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Having read the reviews and looking at the website our expectations were too high. Seemed like the good food was yesterday and we missed it. Menu for our day was smothered pork chops, turkey wings, fried chicken legs, and one other chicken dish. We both got smothered pork chops. The chops were not smothered, was served a small dish of gravy on the side. Actually needed about twice as much. My wife asked for more gravy and was told no. I had mashed potatoes that were very pasty and again needed a lot more gravy. My wife's rice and my cabbage were very good. The amount of food was over the top. Could only eat about half of what was served
