While visiting the area I dined here a couple of times. Every time was great! The cocktails were strong. The service is kind and quick. I think we may have eaten the entire menu between my guest and myself. The only thing we tried and didn’t like was the way the cook prepared the collard greens. Something was off because I love collards.

Great Cajun dishes, nice atomospgere, pleasant wait staff. For true nawluns flavor, try the red beans and rice with sausage. All of our dishes had bit of spice, just the right amount. The dishes were flavorful and prepared well. Don't skimp out on dessert, the beignets, yum! Very nice wine list with servers knowledgeable about each. Was not too busy around 6pm on a Fri night. Did call ahead seating. Bonus, live music in the town square for before/after dinner entertainment.Vegetarian options: Not an extensive vegetarian menu but enough to give options. Chef also wiling to accomidate and can easily make some dishes vegetarian.Parking: Street parking close to restaurant, public parking lot not too far away.


I love everything about this place. Wonderful cocktails. New Orleans style entrées. Best greens I have ever had in my life. .

Terrific food and wait staff was very efficient. We had Shrimp and fries. Anduoille crusted grouper. Delicious.

Absolutely delicious food here! We stopped in for lunch and so glad we did! Huge portions and their food is yummy yummy yummy! Beer was really cold and the service was excellent! Highly recommend!

My grandkids were visiting us we strolled around downtown Ocala. Ocala is going through a resurgence which is great. As well as it's history I didn't know that at one point their were so many bars in the town.. When I thought about it their were many horse ranch's in are with many cowboys.. But getting back to review ver disappointed with restaurant we were n for lunch with t kids and the portions o plate were so small my grandkids complied about lack of French fries Myself I needed to agree with them and they are very young ... Not happy with place .

So in town visiting decided to try them out. So glad we did in historic downtown location nice setting. Staff was great good service seemed to really care. Food was great had the she crab soup delish with crab in every bite. Beef medallions with shrimp was cooked perfectly and tender with fantastic flavor. Only so so was the sweet corn grits.

Ocala hotspot on the square. Super fun atmosphere and good drinks. We went for happy hour and stayed for dinner. I had the mahi arugula and it was very tasty. I go every time I visit Ocala.

If you like Louisiana INSPIRED food then this is a great place. I wouldn't necessarily say it's NoLa "style" but I can see where the inspiration is drawn.We ordered the boudin balls as an appetizer, they were good just a bit over-fried.The gumbo had no flavor other than cayenne pepper sadly. I love gumbo and this just wasn't it.The she crab soup however was delicious! Very lobster bisque-like and good flavor.Main courses were the fried shrimp and grouper for my husband and the crab cakes with cajun rice for me. His shrimp and grouper were a good size and the batter tasted good also. My crab cakes were good but since I found two fish bones my guess is they either use fish to save on money or somehowbones fell in the crab mix before forming? Not really sure, disappointing but over all the flavor was good. Portion sizes are reasonable, too! Enough to take some food home. The cajun rice had clumps of plain white rice so it was not as expected.Dessert was the oreo "beignets". Delicious but not really a beignet. More like a fried oreo from the fair, still delicious though! It can do without the heavy sugar glaze. I'd suggest powdered sugar like traditional beignets and a light drizzle pf the chocolate.The atmosphere is nice with jazz in the background and the historic feel of the interior and exterior is really beautiful.I would return but would keep in mind the expectation of real New Orleans style food is not what is served here, at least not the evening we went, which is a bummer considering the founders are from LA.


Delicious food and great wait staff. They were very attentive and checked on us often. We have a great view of the Square, it was our first time and came recommended.


The food is delicious! There are variaty the plates with New Orleans sauson. You can choose pasta or rice when ordering jambalaya. It's faster costume service. The restaurant is nice!

The oreo beignets, the oreo beignets... Those little fried morsels were the highpoint of my entire dinner, and, honestly, added a star to this review. Our server, Sam, was attentive throughout, and delivered our food timely. My colleuge ordered the crab crusted redfish, which was a mountain of seafood. I ordered the ribeye. Although both were deliscious, I was dissapointed in the size of my ribeye, as it was only 11 ounces. I checked back on the menu to see if I had maybe glossed over the listed weight, but the description of the ribeye did not mention it. If I had known the ribeye was only 11 ounces, I wouldn't have ordered it. Even with the small size, it was one of the only times I've never had to send back a steak. I asked for rare plus, a diffulcult temperature to cook a steak at, especially in a busy restraunt. Nonetheless, it was cooked to perfection! The presentation of the ribeye was lackluster, I expected more "pizazz" for $27. Overall, I will come back here again, and it was a great night out at Harry's! Nice stuff!

Harry's is a fantastic spot in downtown ocala for some Cajun/creole deliciousness. We started with some crab cakes for appetizers; that was my favorite part of the meal. I've came before and gotten the redfish but it was unavailable this evening. I tried the andouille crusted grouper and it was very tasty. My favorite dish here will still be the redfish though. Our server was excellent, and the atmosphere here is welcoming and comfortable.
