We have always appreciated the family atmosphere, the Manager on the front end & the deli staff. What we were taken aback with was your new cashier. We purchased plenty with you recently, and while adding our phone number as she requested, she grew impatient with my spouse because he is slower then she expected. Everyone is kind there except this individual.

Leaving a comment as a native New Yorker. First time there, I got the Italian combo and anti pasta salad. Gotta be honest that with the Italian combo, the quality just was not there. The bread barely had any taste to it. Definitely not traditional Italian. The cold cuts they use had little to no flavor. Incidentally that’s how you know that they’re using poor quality/cheap cold cuts is when the cold cuts have no flavor. The anti pasta salad was OK and definitely had more flavor but that’s because they mix oil and vinegar in it. The store is clean and the people are friendly, but honestly, I can’t recommend it especially if you’re a native New Yorker you can definitely taste the difference in their food.

Called on Tuesday afternoon regarding a custom cake for 30 people. The lady I spoke to on the phone said she would have the bakery lady call me in the morning as she had left for the day. It’s now Friday evening and still no call. Reached out to Mazarros and they immediate provided assistance including pricing. They earned my business. Apparently DeCosmos doesn’t care to have new customers.

Me my sister and nephew went here over the weekend. We spent a lot of money. When we got home my sister saw that a caramel syrup she bought expired 2 years ago. I rode all the way from Ellenton to get a refund and maybe an apology. First the owner says sorry for the mixup. It was not a mixup. Then he says we don't give refunds but since your from Ellenton I guess we can. He told me two more times they don't give refunds just giftcards. No wonder its always empty there. I'll stick to Mazzaros its a hundred times better and would never pull this nonsense

Food is great and a super replacement to Mazzaro’s. I’ve eaten there twice and the bread has been terrible! Hard and tough to chew, also their ticket system needs to be updated when you order food from deli area.

The best Italian market, great deli, delicious bakery, and they are opened on Sundays!

Fresh food carefully prepared, plus ALL staff interactions were very pleasant.

Let me tell you I was driving to mazzaros and they were closed. I called this place and got a meatball sub! Let me tell you AMAZING!! Different style tomato sauce and meatballs the size of baseballs. They have everything you can think of. I will be back

8/10/25 stopped in to check it out! Got 3.99 Garlic 🧄 Bread 🥖 and $3.47 box 📦 of pepperonis, they even had a cafe 🍽️ advertising $6 matcha 🍵 lattes not bad!

Amazing authentic Italian, everyone it's so nice and friendly. We asked for a Matcha affogato that is not part of their menu and they made it for us, it was delicious!
