Very disappointed. Had Seafood Platter. If the chef tasted his own cooking he wouldn't have let it out of the kitchen. Staff was very nice but by herself and slow. Asked for more tartar sauce that never came. Didn't matter still couldn't eat the oysters, the scallops were tough and the fish was not good either. I hate giving bad reviews but I wondered why the place was so empty.
I went here based on Groupon reviews. The restaurant has new hrs I arrived at 2 pm and they didn't open until 3 pm. So I actually went up the street to landlubbers who had a great happy hour going on. I returned at 3:30 and ordered the lobster roll and clam strip dinner. The lobster roll was thin the bread was soft and fresh and the lobster was cooked to perfection and very well seasoned. The clam strips were good they were crispy and tender.
Being a native Rhode Islander, we had to try this place so we ordered the clam cakes and RI Clam Chowder. The RI clam chowder was actually very good and definitely in the top 5 I’ve ever had. The clam cakes on the other hand weren’t so good…they were small, dry and tasted more like corn meal than anything else. However, they were loaded with clams which is hard to come by these days. I give the place at 3 out of 5 stars.
Love this restaurant. The seafood choices are varied and tasty. The live entertainment with Tessie on Wednesdays and Fridays is amazing and an extra treat. This is a restaurant you want to check out and a great meet up for special occasions.
Took 90 minutes to get our food, and another 30 minutes just for the waitress to bring the check.Fish was overcooked and dry. My family is from RI so we were excited to come and try the food.We were all disappointed, frustrated and will not be returning. Ps. We also made reservations a week prior so they knew we were coming.
Worst fish and chips I’ve ever seen or eaten. The tartar sauce didn’t have a lid it wasted in the bag. Somehow the fish managed to be hard on the outside and wet on the inside like it wasn’t fried just right. The only bright side were the fries were ok
Buster was a bust we had to wait to be seated at least 15 minutes, the place was empty everyone was walking around as if the last thing they were interested in was serving the public. When we finally got seated and we were able to order our food, the wine, the Pinot Grigio was tasteless. The oysters Rockefeller were terrible, and the clam chowder soup tasted as if it came from a can. By the time our food came it was cold, and once again, tasteless. High prices for low quality food. I have to admit that the singer and the music playing was good. Unfortunately, we were expecting more from this place.
It was okay. It didn't have any wait times on a Friday night. Took some time for the food to come out but everything tasted good. I really enjoyed their new England clam chowder.
We waited 45 minutes for someone to even bring drinks and the place wasn’t even busy. When my husband finally got his drink (corona), it tasted like vinegar. We left before ordering dinner. Would not recommend.
Is it possible to give less than one star??? Food is really bad. I don't know what part of New England they are from..but being from New England..I can tell you the Chowder is nothing like New England Chowder...tasted like it came out of a can. Smelts were just plain bad. I don't know how this place is still in business.

Food is never consistent. Need more help with servers. Could find a better cook who knows how to actually cook. Stop having bartender do everything else they should only work the bar to make drinks… Rick needs to stay out of office and truly stay on top of cook, servers and guests
A really fun, friendly, casual seafood restaurant! We have been there several times and always enjoy the friendly service. Rick, the owner is a super guy who comes to chat and make sure you are happy. Went there Thursday night and played Music Bingo. You walk in not knowing anyone but walk out as friends! We had a great time and enjoyed the Pineapple Salmon and Grilled Shrimp and Scallops. If you are there before 7pm, the 1$ clams are terrific. This is my go to place for the fried belly clams, which are hard to find!Last but not least, Stephanie is a super server and bartender?!
This restaurant is a hidden gem. We have eaten here many times, both dine-in and take-out, and the food is always delicious and the service is exceptional. I highly recommend it. Try the stuffed shrimp, Maui, seafood combos, clam chowder, or even the hamburger and wings, and you will be happy you did.
Place smelled like a bait shop. Service was almost non-existent. Saw manager when we first got there. No where to be found when we needed service. Food mediocre at best and fading towards cold by the time we got silverware after we had to ask. I will not be back and I do not recommend. BTW, high price, small portion.
Great tasty food Attentive wait staff Entertainment several nights a week Friendly atmosphere
