Wow is all I can say. Went this weekend for the third time and have always been a fan and will continue to be one. All of their food is homemade and worth the time to wait if needed. It's buffet style and you just tell them what you want. You can also order off the menu if needed. Everything you can think of and even breakfast shrimp and grits. Hands down best I ever had. eggs, grits, omelettes, three kinds of homemade sausage, muffins, and other great items. If you want awesome food at a great price, great friendly service like it used to be and a great atmosphere inside or outside with an ocean view come to the Sand Dollar Cafe in Port St. Joe. You will not be disappointed!

This is a walk-up cafeteria style restaurant that includes table service. An agreeable guy prepared our plates for us (I remember his name as Mr. Alex, but my husband remembers his name being Jeremy. Since we ate there a week ago, I can't really remember. ?) The young ladies that checked on us while we ate were very attentive and seemed nice. We enjoyed a late morning breakfast out on the patio. There were plenty of delicious breakfast options including the shrimp and grits with tomato gravy. I could not stop eating it! The pulled pork omelette was full of flavor and that tasty pork. The brownie was HUGE, moist and fudgy. There were 5 of us and we all were quite satisfied. Would definitely go back! After reading some of the other reviews, we were kind of hoping to find something to complain about so we could get an expert roasting from Chef Scotty. ? But, we just can't complain. It was great!

Been going here for several years, always the best breakfast (i havent had a chance to try lunch). I like the buffet style so you dont have to wait. Staff is great and explains what he has for the day and is fast and friendly. He and I usually have a good laugh with each other at how folks ahead of me in the line were so picky, indecisive, etc.

Delicious soul food type restaurant. Lunch special is meat and two vegetables, bread, and drink. About $13. We had stuffed peppers today, spinach with corn, lima beans with okra and Mexican cornbread. All was delicious. Wifey also had stuffed pepper, green beans, and carrots. Carrots tasted very similar to sweet potatoes, yummy. No Frills atmosphere, small dining room inside or picnic tables outside

This place is delicious! Ordered shrimp and grits to go one morning and was so delicious that we stopped there for lunch as we were leaving town and had the catfish and crayfish with sides. Ate outside because we had our dog with us. Several servers came outside to greet and give love to the dog and a water bowl was immediately provided to her. The food was amazing and the pricing is great! This place has been added to our must eat list when we come to Port St Jow to visit!!
