Cake was delicious. I am honestly surprised by all of the low ratings. We used her business for our wedding last summer. She said was quick to respond. The cake tasting took place at her house and she had a lot of flavors to choose from. We ordered a three tier cake with each tier being a different flavor (red velvet, chocolate, and lemon almond). She had drawn on an order form exactly what we described. She has a bunch of photos and books with design ideas on case you don't know what way to go. She made our cake exactly as envisioned. She hand drivers the cake and adds on flowers or cake toppers at the location. All of our guests loved the cake. We had 85 guests and ended up with Barely any leftovers.

My husband and I did cupcakes and a small 1 tier cake for our wedding through Kakes by Katie almost 9 years ago. My guests STILL 9 years later talk about how incredible those cupcakes were. We did 3 flavors for the cupcakes, including pumpkin, which my husband (who absolutely hates pumpkin usually) thoroughly enjoyed. I can’t recommend Kakes by Katie enough, and I tell everyone in this area to go to Katie. Our tasting session was lovely and personalized. She was patient with us while we made our decision, and it was barely a thought on my wedding day because they were delivered exactly when they needed to be. If you’re looking for the best place for delicious cakes, this is it.

The wedding cake Katie made us was beautiful and delicious! Katie even helped with a last minute surprise groom cake. Our guests raved about the cake and how delicious it was. The cake was moist the buttercream was delightful. My only regret is not getting an even bigger cake. Our guests took every extra piece home because they loved it so much! Highly recommend kakes by Katie! Prepare for your guests to devour every crumb!

How does this woman only have 2 stars? She made the absolute BEST wedding cake for me- so much so that the staff was asking who made it bc it was so fresh and AMAZING! (We provided them with extra pieces. The topper came with instructions and was delicious a year later. After the wedding cake Katie did every one of my birthday cakes until I moved away. I did tastings with these other people. They aren't bad, but y'all- Katie stands on a WHOLE different level. If I can figure out how to add my pics I will. She's even done 3 birthdays in one cake. Ie: a golf course with jag paw prints separated by a race track with a race car and the bottom was my favorite- daisies. Someone needs to write more reviews. This should be number 1

She waited till 2 weeks before our wedding and advised could not make our wedding cake or grooms cake - Why oh Why would you not advise at the very beginning? Also, not very responsive. I searched and searched for the email she allegedly stated she sent; however, no evidence and the reason why is we never gave her one. So disappointed - JUST TELL THE CLIENT IN THE BEGINNING IF YOU DON’T WANT TO DO IT!

I was so surprised when I came across this business and saw the terrible reviews and 1 star. I hired her for my wedding and she was so kind and wonderful. At the time I lived out of state so she made me a personal plate of cakes to taste. (She did not have to do this, and I love that she was so kind and went out of her way to accommodate my needs.) She even drove all the way to Gainesville and dropped the cake off. She never harassed me for a payment, and I could always get ahold of her. The cake was exactly what I wanted and it tasted amazing. I had no complaints, not even if I was nitpicking. I personally would order from Kakesbykatie again :)

Katie was the BEST and her cake was simply DELICIOUS!!! Literally everyone raved about how wonderful it was! It was so yummy the whole cake was eaten at our wedding and we ordered ourselves a second smaller one just for us to enjoy! She was so sweet and kind to work with! Katie welcomed us into her home for a cake tasting, and let us try a large variety of the cakes that she offered. Katie was extremely professional and her pricing was reasonable! The whole experience was wonderful! I highly recommend her cakes!
