I was having a bad day. Like the worst day of my life. And all I wanted was poke. The staff could see it in my eyes and were super nice and grateful. They checked on me and were super sweet. I got up to clean up, and there was a box of pocky waiting for me on my table and a silent smile. The food is amazing but it’s because of the service that I come in every week. ❤️. The girl was very sweet and went out of the way to ask about the music to her manager for me ? 10/100 place?? it's very nice and cozy, there's a "living room" area in the back with games. When I come back to Sarasota best bet I'm coming here again ?

The best fresh fish place on the east coast of the USA. This is not an exaggeration.We are fortunate to find this restaurant at about a 90 minutes from home, but it is well worth the drive. I am an extremely picky sushi eater and have eaten at numerous top places around the country. This is definitely one of the top. They have super friendly staff, fresh fish that are flown in from Hawaii, and non Michelin star pricing. After talking to them, I found out that the owner came from Maui, which explains the fresh fish and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, most restaurants in this country just get their tunas divered to them frozen from a vendor who most likely got the fish from China. So most people don't have a clue what fresh Tuna taste like unless they have been to Hawaii or pay $25 for one sashimi piece in some fancy restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They gave our kids free snacks when we were supposed to pay for them.
