Delicious food! Lovely selection of various salads, sandwiches and appetizers. The polenta fries are to-die-for, and we also enjoyed the melt, the veggie burger (made of artichokes!), and the three-bean chili. The staff were attentive and welcoming. Also, great selection of teas, kombucha and other non-alcoholic drinks. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area. Note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Everything was delicious for plant eaters and carnivores alike! Po’ boy was amazing and the portebello ruben was so tasty. The bread on all our sandwiches was fresh and delicious. Also pictured are the polenta fries which were also enjoyed by all. ?

I can't give this place enough stars! I've been going here for years and recently been going more regularly. There are a few vegan places in the area, but a lot of the places use heavily processed foods (which isn't an issue for most people, but my stomach is sensitive!). I'm glad that Leaf & Lentil use a lot of fresh veggies and recipes! I love their variety of specials (the panini is my favorite). They also have amazing homemade tea.The physical space is also super cute, and I love that they support the local LGBTQ+ community and organizations!

Delicious and pretty presentation. I had falafel pita. Green tahini sauce doesn't make sense to me given it's traditionally made w/toasted sesame seeds and olive oil. Maybe that was a "foodie" touch that missed with me. Tasted great. Polenta fries were heavy, like appetizer for 3-4 as opposed to side. The sauce made them so much tastier. Fresh and clean setting, indoor and outdoor seating. Recommended.

Delicious food for any palate. I ordered the the Portobello Reuben, my husband had the Mike Burger. Both were delicious. We eat vegetarian from time to time for variety as well as health reasons. I really enjoyed the reuben. It was nice to have the mushroom sliced so you didn't have to bite into one big mushroom and get a huge piece of portobello in your mouth at once. Just a well put together, tasty sandwich. My husband was amazed at the beyond burger's resemblance to animal protein. My only negative comment is that the cucumber salad was too vinegary for me. My husband liked it. That is a matter of taste, not of quality or presentation of the food. We are visiting family here in Sarasota, we are from California. When we come back, we will have a great option for lunch. I highly recommend Leaf & Lentil.

Friendly and informative is how I would describe the staff. They have gluten free items as well and everything is Vegan. We both had the portobello Rueben sandwich with the cucumber salad. I had the regular pumpernickel bread and my husband had the gluten free bread. Both sandwiches were delicious. The sauerkraut was incredible as it was fresh and slightly sweet. My husband doesn't like sauerkraut but he liked the kraut on this sandwich. It thought it could have used some vegan thousand island or remoulade sauce but frankly after I devoured my sandwich I didn't miss it. The cucumber salad was sweet and had some kind of herb infused oil. The atmosphere was relaxing and the place was very clean and bright. We enjoyed a couple of yummy brownies and did not leave a crumb. I found it humorous that across the street was a barren and closed Burger King, while this place had luscious green plants and customers stopping in to pick up to go orders. I will definitely go back as there was many items in the menu I wanted to try.
