Perry's Original Roadside BBQ & Catering

I grew up in Texas I tried Perry’s today for the first time after it was recommended by a family member, this is not only by far the best bbq you can get in Florida it’s up there with all the top Texas joints I’ve been to. The meats and sides were beyond incredible and they’re great people there! If you like real deal bbq you gotta go here!

I have to say if your looking for phenomenal barbecue, you found the place! We had a destination Wedding and contacted Perry’s to cater. Lakeisha was absolutely wonderful going over and beyond to make our menu perfect even with add-ons. What a wonderful variety of food for all our guests! Everyone I mean everyone loved the food, amazing and friendly service!! I would recommend Perry’s 100%! Thank you soo much!!!

I've been eating BBQ for 50 years. Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri...Perry's Brisket Burnt Ends were as good as any BBQ that I have ever had. Period. End of story. Will be going back often.

Had the pleasure of trying this place yesterday after the anting some good bbq. Looked on google and decided to give them a try. We really enjoy everything ended up getting ribs and chicken with greens , baked beans and Mac n cheese. We loved everything!!

I catered Perry's BBQ for a team lunch at work (group of 15), and the whole experience was excellent. Communication throughout the ordering process was clear and straightforward. Delivery was right on time, and everything arrived well-packed and still hot. The meat was tender, juicy, and clearly freshly prepared. Their in-house sauces were a great complement to the flavors and added an extra layer of deliciousness. Highly recommend for group events or office catering!

I ordered delivery, so I understand there’s always a difference, which is why I order certain foods like BBQ. Perry’s had both high and low points, but they do have potential. I’m southern and I know the best BBQ is someone roadside with a smoker and a grill. Maybe my expectations were too high. I had the 1/2 chicken and it was really dry. I started with the thigh and it was hard to swallow. I didn’t even try the breast. May make good chicken salad tomorrow, so all is not lost. Flavor wise it was good. Second order was the rib and brisket combo with 2 sides. I chose collard greens and Mac and cheese. My favorites. I got 3 ribs, about 5”, 3”, and a little smaller one than those.The ribs were Smokey and tender without being soft. Nice crispy texture on the outside and good flavor. Their original bbq sauce is thinner than what I’m used to, but has a good flavor. The brisket was also Smokey and juicy and was the best thing I had. Delicious. I only wish there was more than 11/2 thin slices. Unfortunately, the chicken came with 2 slices of plain white bread. No Texas toast, or something to stand out like specialty Texas toast. Garlic butter, bbq, jalapeño, even sprinkle with some cheese. They could really find a little something special to stand out. It’s a missed opportunity, but at the very least they should serve garlic and/or bbq toast. I received a plain cheap hamburger bun with the combo. Mac and cheese was not good at all. Really had a thick texture and lack of flavor except for the paprika on top. I could taste paprika. Collard greens were cooked properly texture wise, but were too sweet. Sauté with bacon or ham hock preferably, and sauté in that before adding any stock and water. Season. Think about pepper vinegar on the side-no sugar. They could have been great, with more flavorful elements. Cornbread was really good. Very old fashioned in a good way. Nice course grounds of cornmeal, good flavor, not too sweet. Overall, I would go back again for the ribs and brisket, but hope to see some positive changes before I go

My husband and I are in Sarasota looking at houses. Perry's is less than a mile from our hotel, so we gave it a try. OhEmmGeee. I almost couldn't wait till I finished my meal to leave this review. It was incredible! We had the chicken, brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, and baked beans. Not too heavily seasoned, smoked just right. I grew up in the South, I've had a lot of BBQ in the last 50 years. Perry's is by far the best.

My job has ordered it for company events multiple times over the last few years. It's so good. I love the pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, potato salad and hot bbq sauce. 10/10, 5 stars.
