I was visiting the Sarasota area over the weekend and ran into this delightful Taqueria. The food was fresh and tasty, corn tortillas are pressed and grilled right in front of you, and they make chips that are to die for! Absolutely recommend.

After being stuck in downtown SRQ with my teen daughter and not knowing where to go we started walking. We couldn't agree on anywhere to go (different tastes) and we stumbled upon Poppo's. She loves quesadillas so I figured we were safe. Little did I know I would choose their quesadilla over my favorite meal, tacos! But I did and I don't regret it. And their soda made with real sugar was the perfect add on. I can't wait to return.

Got a chicken burrito to-go. It was wrapped very nicely, but, overall just a "meh" burrito. Could have lived with, or without it. Wouldn't hesitate to eat here again, but would try other places first.

The taco salads are the best and the fresh tortillas make them even better. I try and eat here once or twice month. Very healthy, quick meal that anyone will enjoy.

We like Poppo’s, have been their twice at their Landings location. The staff is attentive. A couple of things could improve it more: diet sodas and senior discounts.
I've frequented this place a number of times, and it's always been good. I especially like how they make their tortillas fresh in front of you. It definitely makes a difference! The meat, veggies, and other toppings are extremely fresh as well. I'm giving it 4 stars, because they tend to skimp on the portions and the bowl is quite a bit smaller than what you would get at Chipotle, and it is the same price. They also charge for sour cream, which I think is a bit to ridiculous. However, I would say the overall quality is better than Chipotle or other competitors, and I'll be back!

Damn good tacos. Some of the tastiest tacos around. I ordered to carnitas taco and the steak adobo taco. What I liked most is that I could create the tacos to my liking with cheese, salsa, pickled onions, pickled jalepeno and crema. These tacos were warm and juicy. Bueno Poppo I'll be back

Portions are ridiculously small. I had a “big bowl” and was more like a kids meal. Tasty was ok, not bad but nothing special.
