Jamaican American Soul Food Restaurant

I and husband came to this restaurant this evening. The Lady staff we met snubbed us. She walked away from us. When we where pointing to her the jerk chicken we want, she picked the one she want and left to pack it. I almost walked out but my husband being too kind said let's pick only that order.
We would have buy two packs of Rice and peas with cabbage. We ended up buying one pack with two sides of jersey chicken.
The staff was so rude without remorse.

Very disappointed.Ordered a oxtail dinner. It taste like days old food. Meat and rice dry. Cabbage nasty.smh. I'm glad I didn't order more.If you want oxtails go to Rodney Jamaican restaurant in Bradenton

I used them for a catering event for 20 people and they did an amazing job!! My family was so grateful and we celebrated my father’s birthday and the food and service were exceptional. Really enjoyed the food and the service was awesome. She delivered the food and it was piping hot!! Thank you so much!

Staff was more concerned with finishing their conversation instead of helping the customer. 4 employees looked at me, said nothing and continued nonsensical gossip. I walked out without trying the food. What a waste of space.

Good service and food

This place is a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in the employees we warm and inviting. The food was next-level. I had the jerk chicken with cabbage and plantains and it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had—tender, flavorful, with just the right amount of heat. The plantains were perfectly caramelized, overall worth a trip.

Food was old. Chicken was mushy. Rice and peas taste watery.

We were in the area and had a taste for some
Oz tails. The food was amazing. The portion size was more than enough. If we didn’t live two hours away we would be there once a week.

Not as good as the first time. Red Snapper was very small, limited sides that does not taste fresh at all. An hour wait. Service is 5 star. Cook is adorable. Cornbread is delicious and I’m hungry

So went because they have yams and Mac and cheese. Had the jerk chicken so the food didn't blow me away. The customer service did the lady was nice and helpful definitely would go back because of the service atleast. The food jerk had a little heat to it not a lot. She put some gravy over the rice made a huge difference. Yams where good, mac was good. But nothing was outstanding great to my opinion. But I would go back to try other things. Her gravy looks to be pretty good. So based on price and everything I would recommend going back for user. A solid 6/10 now this can change an go higher if I try the fish stew and it's hit out of the park.

Update had a few more dishes food isnt bad not the best I ever taste but definitely good.
