Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the turkey club and my Ma had the BLT. Both were very good. We also got a side of fries. Small was plenty to share. They are skinny fries and were good. I just prefer a thicker fry. It's very dog friendly and there's plenty of shade to sit outside. We will absolutely be back.

I was afraid The Overton would be hiding a mediocre cafe behind an Instagrammable facade, but my fears were pushed aside when I took one sip of the Cookie Milk Iced Latte. Apart from being totally picture-worthy, it was incredibly delicious. Very coffee forward, and surprisingly not too sweet. The Cookie Crisps took me back to my childhood and it was fun to snack on a few while they were still crispy then save a few for the end, when they were soaked in milk and espresso. We also got breakfast to-go. The food was packaged really well and was still warm when we got to the beach. Parking might be challenging, but we got lucky with a spot right in front. Either way, it's worth a visit!

Courtney & Christian are the coolest guys! Super friendly to have conversation with. The location is perfect for working or meeting friends. The coffee is my favorite in all of Sarasota. The breakfast burrito is tasty. The burger is unique. The food is always consistent! The chocolate chip cookies that come in from a local baker are my favorite! The staff is always super friendly!! My favorite place to work from!

This is one of those places you cannot get out of your head. Food and drink is tasty, outdoor seating is delightful, and the service is always great. I personally love the BLT followed by a mocha.

The atmosphere of this place was very nice and peaceful. The coffee was good but the food was subpar. The burrito had very little flavor. If you want to get food get the avocado toast.

Came here twice for coffee with friends. They serve Counter Culture which is a brand that I love. The Hot latte I had last time was good but the Iced Americana was even better you can really taste the coffee . Perfect for walking around on a hot day.Definitely coming back to try the food after seeing some plates come out.And the vibe is also pretty cool and very chill. Plus they have a super nice and friendly staff and great service. ?

The owner Cortney is ever so polite, he's always found working behind the counter, supporting his staff! Always smiling:) very good menu and wonderful espresso drinks, kombucha on tap, and craft cocktails with a doggy friendly patio, what's not to love ♡about tasty treats at the Overton.

Rode our bikes over from the Legacy Trail at Payne Park. Had a beer and a grill cheese sandwich. It was hot and delicious. Loved the outdoor bring your pup and eat vibe. I would eat here again.

Super cool place! The food is very fresh and delicious's and they have many mocktaild and teas on tap as well as homemade kombucha which is awesome (in addition to reg bar drinks of course).

Though The Overton serves dinner it's really more of a breakfast, bar, and lunch place as its menu is limited, particularly for items most would consider dinner foods. That is unless you'd really consider a taco, burger or sandwich as dinner. The Overton is a really big high ceiling place with a great selection of craft beers, comfortable counter seating, good modern minimalist décor, along with an expansive outdoor patio seating. The service I got was slow, sporadic, inattentive, and not all that friendly. For my meal, I had their steak and eggs. The steak was beef tenderloin, but there wasn't anything at all tender about it. In fact, it was so tough, I had to give up on it, unable to finish it. Overall, The Overton is a very nice-looking place and spotlessly clean with great counter and patio seating, but with the service and quality of food I had, I can't recommend it.

horrible is too kind of a word to describe this disaster. I've been in the restaurant industry for over 15 years from operations to front of house and everything in between so I am the first to give a place the benefit of the doubt and understand the challenges of running a place but I've never been treated with such disrespect. There is zero management. No answers to calls or emails. It had a lot of potential but it's an absolute disaster and the cocktails are horrid. The owners brother needs a major crash course in hospitality, he lost 15 possible regulars today.

I thought this place looked super cute so I took my grandma for breakfast. They didn’t open on time at 9 am which is a bit frustrating. we ordered at the register, they didn’t say the total or print us a receipt. I ended up with two lattes somehow. The biscuit was enormous yet dry and sadly the gravy was super thick which didn’t help the dry biscuit taste. Unfortunately not impressed with my experience but maybe I ordered wrong.

Love The Overton! Just moved to the area and I am hooked. The food is pricey but it's delicious. Staff is always really friendly and it's a laid back environment. Flakes and groats are sooooo delicious - HIGHLY recommend.
