What a great local spot! Fabulous for weekend brunch or a weekday meal. My new favorite is the benedict pictured below, and it is obvious that everything is made to order. Absolutely delicious. Plus don't forget the amazing service!

My son and I walked in we're not acknowledged by the 2 employees behind the counter, I stood there for about a min maybe 2 while the 2 ladies discussed mixing spoons and another 3 people walked in and sat at a table. As the owner skated past me she said I'll be right with you .i asked do we seat ourselves she asked how many ,I said 2 she looked around said I don't have any tables .. she did , outside. I said we will sit outside. Ok, she came out and I was ready to order so I started asking questions about the kids menu ... she said I have other tables .. I sat there honestly in disbelief and started to google reviews on the place. Then she asked if I was still going to be eating bc there was another couple with a child waiting to sit down . I assume this is why she asked me. Never ever underestimate the people who walk into your establishment. She seen a woman and kid , I can't say for sure but I got the general feeling they didn't have time for me or my son. Poor taste to then ask me to leave bc I said I felt she was being rude!! How about take some constructive feedback... I didn't get to eat or order because she said this is my restaurant leave .. but I will never be back and I wouldn't recommend to anyone who likes to have an enjoyable dining experience. I'd give it no stars if I could.

I absolutely enjoyed every moment at the UPTOWN EATERY. The BEST CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP IN THE WORLD, PERFECT AND DELICIOUS AND LOTS OF FOOD IN IT! I came back for BREAKFAST the next morning and got a FANTASTIC CHEESY OMELET, served with 2 thick high grade DELICIOUS STRIPS OF BACON, AND THE FRESHEST FRUIT MIX AND FANTASTIC WHEAT TOAST I HAVE EVER HAD. I also must mention the Chefs, the waitress and all the people that work there made me feel at home, even though I'm from another state. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE MORE THAN 5 OUT OF 5 STARS I WOULD, THE ATMOSPHERE, THE PEOPLE, THE FOOD, THE MENU, THE SERVICE WITH A GENIUNE APPRECIATIVE SMILE, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!! Came here for a quick lunch again. Super friendly waitress and affordable prices. I don't like how they never have chicken noodle soup even though it is on their menu. Also they don't have any wrap except for the plain one. I wish they had whole wheat or another type of wrap.

One of the best breakfast meals I've ever had. I got the breakfast sandwich with the hashbrown casserole and everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The proportions were also spot on unlike so many breakfast joints that pride themselves on giving you a huge meal that can't be finished. The prices are super affordable, I got the breakfast sandwich and OJ for less than $12, just amazing. I simply couldn't recommend this place enough!

Absolutely enjoyed our breakfast for two days while visiting Sarasota for a wedding. The owner and staff are so pleasant and the food exceptional. We especially enjoyed the banana nut pancakes! Go see for yourselves.....

The hash brown casserole is so good. I debated about ordering it but the very friendly waitress recommended it and I wasn't sorry I did. I had it with the veggie quiche which was also very good. Great, great place!

On our first visit while vacationing in Longboat Key we liked everything about Uptown Eatery. So much so that we returned two more times, once for breakfast and once for lunch during our two-week stay in LBK. I enjoyed the SRQ Omelet, the Club Sandwich , and Breakfast Burrito. My wife had Chicken Salad on croissant twice, and the Country Scramble. All of it was delicious! The food prices were very reasonable! We had the same server each visit and she was very personable, helpful, and efficient. All in all a great breakfast/lunch spot in downtown Sarasota. I don't give 5 stars often, Uptown Eatery earned it from me.
